Parker had just apparated back to Hogsmeade after a few days away. He sighed and put his hands in his pockets, looking around as he walked slowly. Looking at each shop brought back another memory. He walked up to Honeydukes, the first of the shops he'd ever gone into. He leaned against the window, resting his hand against the outside sill as he looked in, only a few people in there. He remembered how Anne bought him candy there because he had no money, and he remembered other times that his other friends had also bought him things and he always felt bad for never being able to repay them.

He smiled a little though, thinking of the wonder that filled him when he first walked in there. At that time everything was a wonder, each day bringing him something new. Both of great things and about the worst in people. He frowned a little as he turned, resting his forehead against the glass and closing his eyes briefly.

Damien had decided he wanted to run into Hogsmeade and pick something up for Anne, just something simple but he was not sure what, he would just have to check it out.

Walking around the shops he had decided that maybe he could get her some chocolates from Honeydukes. Walking up to the shop he notices this guys leaning into the shop window. When he got closer he realized who it was, there was no mistaking that man from anywhere.

Of course Damien should know who it was he had only spent 6 years sharing a dorm with the guy. In the beginning Damien got annoyed by all junk that Parker collected, except to Parker it wasn't junk it was his collections.

Damien had to laugh over the next few years they had actually became really good friends. But something happened to him during his 7th year and he became distant and no matter what Damien did he could not get Parker out of his shell. he remembers all too well the day that he decided to leave Parker all together alone.

Damien had walked into the dorm and found Parker throwing things around the room, so Damien went and starting picking up everything that was all over the place. He had the stuff in his hand and went over and slammed it on Parker's desk.

"Parker man this is enough, what the hell is your problem. You have been doing this for the last two months and its getting old." Damien spat at him.

"Its none of your business." Parker spat back

"It is when your wrecking our room." Damien stated a little louder

"I am so tired of your better than thou attuitue, I have put up with it for the last 6 year and I am done." Parker yelled

"Parker, dude" Damien started but then was cut off when Parker turned around and punched Damien right in the face and stormed out of the room.

Damien had to laugh at the memory, but for the rest of the year Damien never said two words to Parker unless he had too.

Walking up to Parker he had to smile. "Hay Parker you better watch out, your face might stick to the window." Damien laughed.

"How have you been man?"

Parker took in a breath and jolted away from the window, opening his eyes as he looked to his side when he heard a voice and a laugh. He figured it might have looked very strange, him leaning against the window like he was.

Being in his mental fog he'd not heard what the person had said and opened his mouth to about to ask him to repeat himself when he realized it was Damien. He looked at him wide-eyed for a moment, no mistaking that it was. Anne had said he was working here too....but Parker was really hoping they'd not have to deal with each other so soon, or at all really.

He closed his mouth, and looked down, clearing his throat as he shoved both hands in his pockets again, turning back to the window. It almost hurt to hear how friendly he was being. Parker thought Damien must have hated him after how he acted and what he did in his seventh year. He acted so terribly to anyone.

Parker had been in some sort of angry fit. He'd been having them more often out of pure frustration. He was trying to search for an assignment he had misplaced or perhaps not even done and he had begun digging through and throwing things around, even dumping out several of his collection boxes because he'd gotten so upset. The room was in total disarray and he couldn't care less if Damien got upset. He couldn't give a damn about anything. He hardly remembered what words had been exchanged between them, only remembering he'd completely lashed out and punched Damien square in the face, then right after running out of the room and kicking one of the side tables on his way out of the common room to go out to the grounds.

He remembered that point being the angriest of his life and he really regretted it. He shook his head of the memory and it took him too long a moment before he forced himself to choke out, "Uhm, hey..." still not looking at him.

Damien had to smile at Parker, now this was the Parker that he remembered all too well. They got along great in private but Damien was always the one who did most of the talking.

Damien noticed that Parker was looking at the ground and it seemed he had been thinking the same thing Damien was things.

"Hay Parker, it was a long time ago and we were both different people back then. We can start off with a clean slate." Damien extended his hand to shake. "Hi I am Damien Greene."

Parker glanced up at Damien when he started talking, mentioning that they should move on. It was like he knew just what he was thinking of. Was he still so easy to read as when he was younger?

Parker gave a short laugh, "Yeah, sure...easier said then done." At least for him. Everyone else seemed just content in moving on in their lives. It just seemed all too easy for them.

He sighed, looking at Damien's hand for a moment. He hesitated before taking a bandaged hand out of his coat pocket, and taking Damien's, shaking it. "Healer Parker Emery, nice to meet you." he said blandly, as he was used to always introducing himself. He knew they'd been different back then, and he almost wanted to tell Damien he'd probably not like the person he'd become either.

Damien had to smile, "Healer, nice." Damien thought. Not at all what Damien would have pictured, but then no one could picture what he was doing either.

"Well, I would be the Astronomy Professor, it you could believe that one." Damien wondered what Parker had been up to all these years, if Damien had changed as much as he did, Damien wondered how much Parker had changed.

"Hay I haven't had lunch yet, would you like to go get a bite to eat?"

He lowered his hand again, back into his coat pocket. Muttering "Thanks" when he said it was nice. And nodded when he said he was teaching astronomy. It didn't seem a very Damien thing to teach, but then again, what did he know?

Parker looked back though the window into the shop when Damien asked if he wanted to have lunch. While he did feel extremely hungry, he had no money. Damn be damned if he was going to let another person pay for him again.

"I...No, I'm not hungry. I've got some things to do anyways." But just then Parker's stomach betrayed him and growled, and Parker sighed, cursing under his breath.

Damien had to shake his head at Parker, same ol Parker. Never wanting anything from anyone.

Damien sighed and wished Parker would not be this way, not everyone thinks that someone is indebted to them. Damien didn't even think that way anymore.

"Fine Parker we don't have to eat, even though I can tell your hungry. But how about a drink and some job talk." Damien was really trying to throw an olive branch here.

Parker looked at Damien when he made a second offer, and shook his head. "Damien, look, I don't have money. As much as I might like to go out to eat or whatever else, I can't."

He looked back down, and took his hand from his coat pocket again, supporting himself against the window for a moment before he took a few steps to stand next to Damien.

"I'm sorry...okay?" he said quietly. "Even if you did pay...I wouldn't be able to pay you back. I don't want that." he looked down the street and started to take a step.

Damien sighed again as Parker started to walk away. "Listen Parker there is one thing you should know about me I still get what I want." Damien went over and grabbed Parker by the arm.

"I didn't ask if you had money, I asked if you wanted to get a bite to eat. There is nothing wrong with one friend wanting to buy another friend a meal." Damien sighed again hoping that he could get Parker to go.

"I want to catch up, and eat. This is who I am now. So come on, quit being so stubborn." Damien smirk..Nothing like to hard headed Slytherins in one area.

Parker was about to shake his head again and just continue walking when Damien grabbed his arm. Out of instinct he tensed up, turning around slightly, and with his other hand he grabbed Damien's wrist tightly. His eyebrows furrowed, he stared at him for a moment before letting out a breath, and relaxing a bit as Damien spoke.

He thought there was something wrong when it seemed he depended on others for his food half the time when he was going through his training. He sighed and yanked his arm away roughly.

He opened his mouth, wanting to try and argue back that he wasn't being stubborn, but closed his mouth realizing he really was. "Fine. I'll go. Just don't grab me again like that." he warned.

Damien was a little take back by Parker's reaction to him grabbing his arm. Apparently something had happened to him to change him this much. Not sweet and meek Parker anymore.

"No worries about that one, I prefer my head and other body parts intact thank you." Damien said as he was rubbing the wrist that Parker had grabbed. Damien had not even grabbed his arm that tight or anything.

Damien was still rubbing his wrist, dang that guy had a grip. "So three broomsticks ok?"

Seeing how taken aback Damien looked, Parker's meek expression came back and he let out a breath. "I-I'm sorry." He looked down. Why had he done that? He knew Damien wouldn't hurt him, but instinct just took him when he'd been grabbed. But Damien hadn't even grabbed him that hard...

He frowned, and watched Damien rub his wrist, had he grabbed him that tight? He remembered when Pyxis had lunged at him recently, he had shoved her away and hurt her too... he hoped that being away from his apartment more would help stop these reactions. He couldn't just lash out at everyone who made a reach for him.

Parker nodded when Damien offered The Three Broomsticks to go to. But he felt bad and couldn't stop from reaching his hand out gingerly towards Damien. "I...I'm sorry. Can I just...you know, make sure it doesn't bruise...?"

Damien was gona pat Parker on the back but decided against it.

"Don't worry about it Parker it happens to the best of us. Especially those of us who have been in battles." Damien said.

Damien then pulled the cream that he still carried with him at all time. The aches and tremors were not as bad anymore but sometimes they did catch him off guard.

"No thanks I have got it covered." As he showed him the cream. "I still carry it around with me, it comes in handy once in awhile."

Damien was glad when Potion Master Prewett had mad that cream for him, it help a lot with the constant cruses and beating he used to get from his father. But now Damien could make the cream himself.

Parker may not remember him using the cream because he tried to do it secretly.

Reaching the door to three broomsticks, Damien opened the door first allowing Parker to enter before him.

Looking around the room he saw a table so they went over and sat down.

Looking over the menus that were sitting on the table, "Wonder what is good in here?"

Parker nodded, but he seemed unsure. "Uh, yeah...battles." Did other people do that like him? Strangely enough, it didn't seem he'd gotten it from the battles he was in, but from his everyday life...from nights walking to his apartment after a late shift at the hospital.

He watched as Damien pulled out a small container of a cream he'd seen Damien use before in the dorm, though he remembered Damien being so secretive about it, almost like he was ashamed of it, so Parker had never dared mention it. He now found himself to be extremely curious of what exactly it was. He wasn't sure he'd ever seen anything like it before, even at the hospital. A home creation seemed most likely, and he found himself wondering what Damien would need it for for so long. He remembered how older terminal patients needed certain concoctions of potions and other treatments to keep their magical cores stable. He hoped it wasn't for anything of that sort...

He nodded to Damien as he opened the door, letting him go first. He looked around, staying by Damien's side. He'd not been in here since school...and it hadn't changed a bit. He recalled he had never ordered any of the food when he came with his friends here, only occasionally a drink that someone else would buy for him.

He sat down across from Damien, looking around still at the other people in there. He glanced down at the menu when Damien wondered aloud what would be good. "No clue...I've never eaten here..." he said quietly. It sounded weird to say because it seemed everyone had eaten here if they were old enough.

Damien looked at Parker when he said he had never eaten hear before.

"Hay I actually have never eaten here before either" Looking over the menu, he was hungry but not a lot maybe something simple.

Damien had set his cream on the table and waited for the waiter to come by.

"If you would like to know about the cream I would be glad to tell you?" Damien thought that maybe this could get them talking a little more.

Parker raised his eyebrows a bit when Damien said he'd never eaten there either. "Oh, you haven't either...?"

He looked at the menu still closed before him. He opened it and was slowly reading through it. Parker noted the prices between here and the Hogshead weren't all that far off. He glanced up at Damien and his eyes drew to the jar when he placed it on the table.

When Damien offered to tell him about it, he nodded. "Yeah, I...I've never seen it at the hospital, but I remember you having it for a long time. Is it some sort of home remedy?" he asked, setting down the menu, not really having looked at it yet.

While they waited for the server to come and take their order Damien decided to tell him about his cream.

"Back when I was growing up my father used to use me as target practice, for a lot of his dark spells along with the beating I took. So Potion Master Prewett came up with a creme that specialized in dark magic spells. It seems to help keep the temors down to a minimium."

Damien sighed as he thought about all the times he had taking spells, he was honestly surprised he was never killed or hurt worse

"Then he also added something to stop pain and bruising. It seems to be a cureall, type of things. but it never worked on Anne's scars so I am not sure."

The server finally arrived and Damien ordered a salad, and some breadsticks, then waited for Parker to order.

Parker furrowed his eyebrows as he listened to Damien explain the reason for his having the cream and what it did.

"That's horrendous, was that all thoughout school?" he asked concerned. Why had he not done something? How could he let his father get away with that? Parker reasoned it was much like why he would let his mother get away with hitting him, but this was just a whole other level of cruelty and abuse. It was potentially life threatening.

"Wait...Potion Master Prewett?" Parker remembered those girls from school... "So what does it do exactly? Do you know? Because something like this- at the hospital... especially as a cure all would be phenomenal. They could test exactly what works and doesn't-" but he stopped his quick talking as Damien brought up Anne. "Anne's scars..." he said quietly, looking down. That's right. But he hadn't seen them on her. Was she able to find something for them? He couldn't help but wonder.

Parker was snapped out of his thoughts as the server came over to take their order. "Oh, er..." he fumbled with the menu, opening it again, looking though. He would have just said same but....a salad? "Erm, what am I allowed to get?" he asked looking at Damien. It was his money after all.

Damien sighed when Parker asked about school, "All the time, it was something that Pureblood Slytherins received. You do not know how lucky you were to come from a family like mine."

Damien thought about all the times he had been punished. "Yeah you remember the twins don't you, Tabi and Leshia. They would have graduated with you." Damien smiled at the thought of them and how they had became the best of friends they had always been like sisters to him.

"I never really understood how it work it just did. You just rub the cream on the part that was twitching the most at the time and it healed it. The same with a bruise. It didn't seem to be something that was for all over use, just isolated areas that were bothering me."

When Parker asked him what he could order, it was something that Damien was not used too, most people just ordered the most expensive thing on the menu.

"Order what ever you want Parker, its not big deal."

"And here I was, made to believe it was a life of riches and fantasy." he joked dryly. He then sighed and looked down again. "It seemed like most people in our house were abused...certainly explains what the other houses called our 'rotten attitudes' don't you think?" Parker didn't want it to seem like he was including himself in that terribly abused category, what he went through was nothing compared to the others, but he did have his own struggles.

"Yeah, of course I remember. I'm sure you remember that Tabi and I never got along..." especially his last years. Leshia he had been closer with his first year, but after that he didn't see to much of her.

"Really?" He reached out for the jar and gave a look to Damien as if to ask if he can get a closer look at the jar. His speech seemed more confident as he was talking. "Maybe taking it in to the hospital they could have a closer look at it. I'm sure they could develop something for more than isolated area. And I'm guessing since it's a homebrew you know everything that goes into it, yeah? Unless that's still with Master Prewett?"

"I- uh..." he glanced at the server and back down to the menu. It was a big deal. He didn't want to be rude, and he hated that he was paying for him in the first place. "Sorry, uh....the- I'll have the beef sandwich thing." He said sounding unsure, as he turned the menu towards the server a moment, his finger pointing to what he ordered.

Damien had to laugh a little, "No worries there Parker, everyone thinks that, but my family was never like that." Damien smiled

"But you of course were different than everyone else in the house, but I always wondered that there had to be something in your family line that made you feel like you fit, but you would never tell me." Damien wouldn't push now, but Damien saw something within Parker especially the way he got upset over being grabbed.

When he talked about Tabi he had to laugh, "Yeah I can't think of many people that did like Tabi, her world always did revolve around herself." Damien continued to laugh as he thought about the Tabi then and the Tabi now.

"You should see Tabi now, her and Ivano are happily married with 3 kids. She is the nicest person you could imagine."

Parker was really interested in the cream and he thought about taking to the hospital to have it broken down. "Well I have the ingredients list and how to brew, but I have control over it know because Potion Master Prewett gave it too me."

He noticed that Parker was still unsure about picking his food, Damien was going to have to pull him out of this. Maybe they could work together and Parker can get some credit of the cream and then he could recieve payments over it.

While he smiled a little at Damien laughing, he frowned deeply and looked down at the table again when he brought up how he was different. "I never felt like I fit, actually..." That fact was most likely the bases for what he supposed he could call his identity crisis, which he figured was the reason he felt like he needed to get away. He shook his head a bit. "Family line? I'm muggleborn. The closest bit of magic I had in me family was me great-grandfather. He apparently went looking for magical creatures as a hobby and saw quite a bit of them. "

"Not just her though...there were plenty of others like that too..." Reminiscing about his old school mates hurt, constantly reminding him of what he felt back then and who he was. When Damien mentioned Tabi now he looked up at him again. "Wow, really?"He then smiled a bit. "I swear has everyone married or paired off? It might make me a bit sick to have to listen to all sort of wedding or baby talk."

Holding the jar and looking it over, he looked at Damien as he talked. "Oh, really? Maybe sometime we could take this in? We can make sure you and Master Prewett get the credit and the money. It might be able to help a lot of people." he said, smiling a little bit as he looked at the jar, turning it in his hands.

The server having taken their orders, went to the back to put them in.

They had finally brought some drinks and Damien took a a sip of what he was drinking and thought about back then. "I don't know, I just figured there was always something about you. I learned a long time ago, muggleborns have as much in their backgrounds as I do."

Damien had to sighed when Parker commented about everyone getting married and having kids "Well, I was kind of hoping that you might want to talk about some marriage. Seeing is I am getting married and I am in need of a best man." Damien smiled.

Parker was the closest person he could consider a male friend. He was not asking Ivano, cause that would just be to weird. But Parker and him did get along for awhile.

"Master Prewett gave me all the rights, and I am sure I could use the help a healer to get everything perfect." Damien smiled. He was sure Parker and him could come up with some things to make it even better.

Parker just stared at the drink that was set in front of him, he nodded and cleared his throat. "Oh, yeah...I suppose." While he may have shared some annoyances and some summer frustrations he had when they were in their younger years, he never really opened up to anyone other Pyxis the other stuff he went though. Especially about his later years when things started to really go down hill.

At the start of what Damien was saying, Parker had a feeling where it was going. He wasn't expecting the whole best man bit though. He looked surprised, "Whoah, what? I-I mean, that great, but why me? And- and who's the lucky girl?" Parker asked trying to smile though he inwardly groaned.

While it was great for Damien, Parker just really didn't like weddings. The whole feeling of them made him uncomfortable. He didn't even have a suit... Parker bit his lip, rubbing the back of his neck. What was he going to do?

Parker couldn't help but smile when Damien said he needed a healer. "Really? I-I mean I've been trying to come up with my own thing for a while now, but I could never get my hands wrapped around it well enough. That'd be really great-"
