| Danielle walked into the bookstore and looked at her moneybag. She only had so much money left. She frowned. She couldn't understand why her parents had only given her that much for the trip to the town to buy all her objects for school when it barely sufficed. She sighed and walked over to a bookshelf, picking up the books she would need.
She then passed one and was completely mesmerized by the cover. A beautiful unicorn was standing on its hind legs, prancing, and it looked at her with the bluest eye she had ever seen. She picked up the book. Les Licornes de Beauxbatons. Danielle frowned. She wondered if this might be a sign of where she would belong when she came to Beauxbatons. She then turned around to find the school books, not putting the book down to see if she could buy it. However, while turning, she managed to stumble into someone and stumble backwards, falling on her bottom. |

| Aurore huffed in an indignant way as her dearest mother shook her head once more and denied Aurore more money than she already had. "But maman!" She protested in a whiney tone. "I wish to buy a new cat as Beau needs a new friend, and I need an owl, I can't with such a ridiculously small amount of money!" She wailed, a stomp of her foot accompanying such out-right protest. Her mother growled that Aurore already had enough money to buy the whole bookstore, and that there was more than 20 galleons left over if she did so.
"But I was going to use that money for clothes, so you can see that I need even more!" She snarled back as she let her hands rest on her hips. After much more yelling, her mother crumbled under her puppy-dog eyes and handed her the extra galleons she needed. Aurore squealed happily and clucked her tongue for Beau to follow her as she decided to get the most boring task over and done with first. The fat, fluffy white cat dragged itself along behind her, and eventually she lifted it up and placed it in her bag which had an un-detectable extension charm on it. Beau wrapped his paws around the edge of the bag and held himself up by resting his back paws on a chair that she'd placed in there just for him.
As Aurore entered the book store, Beau finally decided he wanted out and he trotted off somewhere. "Beau! Stupid cat come back here!" She called, walking after her cat. She didn't notice the girl as she finally managed to collect her cat within her arms and she stumbled into her, the weight of Beau causing her to fall backwards and land on her tailbone. She let out a hiss of pain as Beau leapt out of her arms and sat beside her, purring in contentment. "Ouch! Watch where you're going!" She snapped at the girl. |

| Dani looked into the eyes of a blonde girl. She looked like a snob, and with that cat, Dani was probably right. With ice-blue eyes she looked down at the slightly lower girl.
"It is evident from the way you were rushing that you were the one who should've watched where you were going," she said calmly.
She then reached out her hand, "Need some help?" she asked, adding a slight undertone of mockery.
She was usually very nice to people she didn't know, but only when they were nice to her. When some snob started shouting at her, she wasn't about to play nice. |

| Aurore's lip curled, she hated a girl with attitude. How dare this piece of scum speak to her as if she were an inferior? She hated how most nasty girls appreciated someone who spoke back, for Aurore did not. She hated those who defied her, or humiliated her.
Aurore delicately lifted herself off the ground, carefully - ignoring the extended hand - rubbing her tailbone once before she pretended that the pain was not there and sneered at the girl.
"Oh? You think you're just hilarious don't you, sugar?" She drawled in her most insulting tone as she lifted her nose so it appeared that she deemed herself superior.
Which she did. |

| Dani had to bite her lip not to laugh at the stupid superiority-like behavior of the girl in front of her. She then rose an eyebrow.
"Oh, no, I don't think I'm hilarious. I know I am. It's just beings of lesser intelligence who cannot see that," Dani retorted with a smirk.
Then she pretended to look completely ashamed. "Oh, no offence," she said sarcastically.
She then pulled out the book for her first year lessons in Defense that she had been looking for, and turned back to the girl.
"Was there anything you wanted?" she asked with mock kindness. |

| Aurore rolled her eyes and shook her head. She hated how this girl seemed to think she was ever so witty and intelligent, in annoyed her when people were like that. Of course, Aurore didn't realise that she was one of those people she'd hate.
"Oh yes, just hilarious love. And only losers think they're funny." She patted the girl in a patronising manor on the head.
"None taken, sweety." She cooed, as if she were talking to a baby.
Aurore looked at the girl in disgust and her lip curled as she wrinkled her nose. As if she'd want her to grab her a book.
"I don't think so, I just need my school books, I don't really see why though. I already know all the spells we'll be learning," Aurore snapped as she made to move past her. "Oh, and by the way, you mess with me, you die. Ta ta, love." Aurore winked and brushed past the girl, her fat cat trailing behind. |

| Danielle rolled her eyes. "That is your best comeback? Oh, please honey, that's just lame," she said patronizingly.
She then smirked. "I guess that's true. You wouldn't understand what I was talking about either way," she said cruelly.
Danielle raised her eyebrows. So, she would have to be at the same school as this spoiled brat? Not the light of the day, to say it like so...
"You know all the spells? Interesting. I should think it a waste for you to go to school then. I suppose you just know the spells, but can't perform them, then," she said coldly, "And as for your shallow threat, I don't think you can defeat perfection."
Danielle gave a blow-kiss to the girl and turned around, her hair swinging behind her as she walked away.
She then wanted to groan. She had clearly not been better than the brat she was walking away from, but she knew she could be nicer. She was pretty sure she'd make more friends than that girl, but figured that that was just a shame on her. |
