Luca had his hands in his pockets and was humming a Spanish tune to himself as he walked through the busy streets, people pushing into him. He barely even noticed them, too wrapped up in his own thoughts. The many different scents of blood mixed together made his head spin and he had to use every ounce of his self control not to grab someone and drain them of blood. But he never would, for he didn't want to be a monster. And he wouldn't be a monster, because thats not who he was. Luca hated that people expected him to be cruel and vindictive simply because he was a vampire. It was stereotypical and quite rude, in fact, which was why he mostly kept it to himself that he was a vampire. Only those he really trusted knew what he was, and that was just his adoptive family. He didn't have any friends yet, wanting to stick inside more often than being out. Luca shook his head and ducked into a book store, glad to be out of the hustle and bustle.
He walked through the aisles, fingers trailing over the bindings of the books. Luca loved books, they were fascinating to read and always made him incredibly happy. The smell was old and parchment, one of his favourite scents. There were a few others mixed with it, when a very flowery and lovely scent hit his nose. Curious, he walked around the aisle and saw a girl there, with a book in her hands. Being bold, Luca strode over to the distracted girl. "Hey there, what're you reading?" He asked.
