Roxanne walked into her office as head of the aurors. She was still rather unfamiliar with the concept, being so young. The only auror who was younger than her was Rhian, and she was the year older than what Roxanne had been when she first became an auror. Of course, that had a lot to do with being from Russia. Their espionage program had prepared Roxxi for the worst, even before she got a wand.
She knew that some people might think it was weird, and some had sent letters of complaint to the office, telling her to step down, telling her she didn't have enough experience, telling her she was too young. Roxxi always burned those letters, a glare on her face as she did that. They had no idea what she had been through, and it wasn't right that they presumed that they did. She ignored them, as the higher ups told her to, but it got annoying nonetheless.
She looked down at the papers in front of her and a crease appeared on her forehead. The Order of the Phoenix. Roxxi sighed. They were a matter she loathed. They got in the way of their missions. It was annoying. But to get to them was even harder, and not on Roxxi's priority list. First of all, it was the Dark Ones. Secondly, she had heard a rumor about some man who called himself a consulting criminal. Whatever that really was, Roxxi knew it wouldn't be about anything good.
She was ripped from her thoughts when a knock came to her door.
