Parker's desk had been a mess and it was only just into second lesson. Why was he not able to keep anything organized. It was like a curse. He remembered his owl dropping him a letter a few days back and he was getting around to reading his mail but he was unable to find it. It was only a few more days after reading the rest of his mail that he found it. And shit,o f course it had to be important work stuff. He sighed, plopping down into the chair behind his desk as he tore it open. He pulled out the letter, reading over the fancy writing and vaguely threatening tone of the headmistress telling him he was now in charge of the nursery for the professor's young children due the circumstances where they must be cared for on grounds since both parents work at the school. He read over it several times, feeling his palms go sweaty as the collar of his shirt felt too tight.

He read over the dates several more times. Damn it he needed to be more organized, he wasn't prepared for this, he didn't have anything for children....today. Parker jumped up in his chair, crumbling the letter in his hand. TODAY?? Parker's eyes darted around, who the fuck thought this was a good idea?? Children? He hated children. He didn't understand them, he couldn't care for them, just urg no. Parker's eyes darted around, visually trying to baby proof the place. First things first, he needed to move this desk into the little extra space there was in the back office. He grabbed a handful off his papers, going back and forth to put them away. He then stopped half way though, running a hand through his hair, frustrated. He shook his head, deciding to pull out his wand, simply going to shrink the desk enough to fit it well though the door and then lock it with the rest of the potions what were sitting around.

After several minutes he managed to get his desk in and the proceeded to run around, picking up spare vials and other things that could be harmful for children low to the ground. He was really greatful for the lack of electrical plugs so that at least they couldn't get to those somehow. Oh! Maybe....he could..arrange the beds in a circle and transfigure them into a large play pen of sorts.He sighed, pleased enough with this idea as he pulled out his wand again, concentrating, and transfiguring a decent looking play pen. He wiped his sleeve over his forehead and groaned as he heard the first foot steps approach. He'd need to figure out how to deal with and get out of this mess of an assignment as soon as possible. But as of now, he needed to make it through the god damn day. He didn't even know how many kids there were at the school if it required him to be forced into this position...

Pyxis was relieved when Alcyone informed her that herself and the Headmistress had decided that introducing a Nursery would be a good idea for all of the professors who had children that couldn't be cared for by one of the parents. Pyxis hated leaving Noah alone in her bedroom, and felt like a terrible Aunt but she didn't really know what else to do - I mean, Pyxis hated children. The only reason she liked Noah was because he was her bloodline, but she still hated children and cringed at the thought of having one. However, she'd soon found out that the person who would be taking care of all the kid's was none other than Parker himself. She giggled as she thought about it, though immediately her emotions would shift to upset at the way he'd treated her when she'd tried to be nice.

Well, whenever she had a free he wouldn't find any help from her with those kids! She squashed her rage as she organised her notes into a neat little pile whilst the rest of her desk was utter chaos. She sighed heavily, as she'd never been very organised. Whether it was with her emotions, or with material objects she was always all over the place. She picked up her stack of notes and pushed them into a folder, shoving the folder into her shoulder bag. She scooped up the rest of her gear for potions and stuffed it into her bag. She opened up her drawers and pushed the letters she had into her drawer, shutting it. She'd read the letters later and would go drop off Noah now. She yawned tiredly and pulled her bag onto her shoulder as she looked over to the small, toddlers bed in the corner where Noah was sitting, entertaining himself with a teddy bear. She smiled as he shook the teddy lightly and then tossed it onto the floor with an annoyed sound.

She walked over to Noah and he looked up as she approached, a happy smile spreading over his face. "Aunty Pyx!" He exclaimed. She'd made it very clear to him from when he'd first started to talk that there was no mummy or daddy, just Aunty Pyxis. Except, he couldn't say Pyxis so she'd shortened it to Pyx. He held his arms out and she scooped him up, resting him on her hip. She walked along from the Professor's Quarters to the Hospital Wing, and pushed the door open. Seeing the way he'd changed the place, she smiled briefly before looking at Parker and a frown appeared on her face. Noah only looked please to see Parker again. "Park!" He exclaimed, waving. Pyxis frowned and walked over to Parker and then past him, bending down and placed Noah in one of the play pens. She handed him his teddy and he took it with the most excited look she'd ever seen on his face. "Where Aunty Pyx go?" He ask as she stood up and took a step away. "Parker will take care of you, i'll be back soon." She patted him on the head and then turned to Parker.

"He doesn't take much caring, just don't let him loose his teddy." She said stiffly, before walking away from him and out the door.

Lily walked into the nursery. Later her mommy promised that she would come and see her. When she walked it she noticed that the twins wasn't there yet. So she was glad to get away from them for a little bit. Her parents didn't believe but she thought that the twins were both evil. Faith was always pulling on her hair. When she wanted to get away she would always go to her daddy. Lily loved her half sister, Sophia, a lot more than her own sister. That was because Sofia was always nice to her.


She then walked in with a couple of her books. Lily was just hoping that she could keep the twins away from it. Because she knew that they would tear it up. She was still wearing the charm braclet that her mommy Anne gave her for Christmas. Lily couldn't even think how many times Faith tried to take it off of her. But her mommy would always smack Faith's hand and tell her no.

Parker was fussing around with the last bit of dangerous items, making sure everything was either in the back room or on high shelves. This was just great, really fucking great. He'd never find anything after this....maybe it was a sign he should clean up. Maybe it could help with all his stress, sort of give him a fresh start? That sounded like a good idea and he'd get around to it soon as long as this hellish event didn't exhaust him too terribly. Just the idea of having to care for young children drained him. Though he perked up as he heard footsteps approach. Damn, he had just barely skimmed by on time. He turned to the door, looking a bit mussed up from all the moving things around, and saw Pyxis walk in with Noah. Oh shit, that's right, he nearly forgot all about him. Seeing the smile on her face, he nearly smiled back. But hers went right to a frown and his face remained impassive.

He only broke the impassive look to give Noah a fake smile. He found it a little strange to have him, a little kid, yell out his name so excitedly. He hardly ever saw him. But whatever it was about him must have made at least a little impression on the kid. The look dropped and he just followed Pyxis with his eyes as she passed him and placed Noah in the pen. He frowned, seeing how upset Noah looked, and how coldly Pyxis seemed to regard him. As much as he disliked kids, he at least tried for their sake. Like that little Lily girl hat wandered up here last year. Parker kept his eyes on Pyxis, not saying a word as she spoke, nor making any move as she walked away. The moment she stepped out the doors, he looked down the the ground letting out a deep sigh as he turned to look at Noah. "It's going to be a long day..."

Parker got to thinking that maybe while the room was cleared of his messy desk and a lot of the randomly strewn vials, it would be a good chance to start to clean it up. After all, it was only Noah so far and he seemed pleased enough with his bear. So while he had the time now would be a good time to start. He pulled out his want, casting several cleaning charms to get all the dust and dirt and old blood from the floor. He looked around at the freshly cleaned floor with a small smile as he heard small little footsteps approach. He pocketed his wand and turned around to see Lily walk in with a handful of books. He smiled, she might have been one of the only little kids he actually liked. "Well hello there. Long time no see, whatdo you have there?" he asked, pointing to the books in her hands.

Capella smiled up at her mother as she hurried around to get ready for her class. "I can walk myself mummy, i'll see you after!" She hugged her mum and gave her a kiss on the cheek, before she walked over to grab her bag. Inside, were several books, a sketchbook, colouring pencils and a muggle pen. She put the backpack on and walked along happily through the castle. Her mum had brought her to Hogwarts so she could get to spend more time with her, and during classes Capella had eagerly agreed to go to the nursery.

She knew Lily was at the castle, and she liked the little girl so it meant she could spend time with her. Plus, Capella loved little kids. She smiled again as she reached the hospital wing - she'd basically memorised the school - and walked inside. She beamed as she saw Lily, though to see an un-known man there she felt herself go shy and her smile turned shy, too. There was a little boy there too, and he looked happy with his teddy. She shuffled her feet and stood in the doorway hesitantly, not sure what to do. She fidgeted with the hem of her short, summer dress with leggings underneath.

Lily grinned as she seen Parker. She heard that he was going to be watching her while her mommies and daddies where going to be teaching. “ Hey Parker I just brought a couple of books to keep me busy. And hoping the twins will not bother me.” She really did like Parker, after she wondered into the hospital wing last year. Lily hoped that he liked her too, well it seemed like it. This year was going to be interesting.

She then saw Capella and was happy. Someone here that was around her own age. And it meant that she could go hang out with her and be away from the twins. They would always get own her nerves and they knew it. But her mommy would tell her that they was just being babies. Lily loved it when Capella seen her that she started to grin.

Alcyone had let Capella go ahead of her because she really needed a moment to get the twins ready. She grabbed both of her bubbah's and placed them in their crib, grabbing their toys and stuffing them into a little backpack. The little one's stared up at her and made gurgling sounds that made her heart skip a beat. She reached down and picked them both up, resting one on each hip and hurrying along the hallways to the hospital wing. She felt furious with Nora for dumping this on Parker ont he same day he'd have to take care of the kids, but knew that she liked to surprise her professor's - especially Parker, she wasn't overly fond of him Alcyone knew that. Ever since that whole episode with Anne and the baby. Alcyone shook her head and clutched her babies tighter to her.

She moved through the doorway past Capella and straight to one of the play pens. She placed her babies down and knelt down, placing the bag beside them. She spread their toys out and pulled out two, folded little objects - one purple, one blue. She tapped her wand to the objects and they expanded into small, crib-sized mattresses. She picked up her babies and put them on their respective mattress, grinning as Andromeda gurgled and then laughed as her mother's fingers tickled her sides. She kissed the top of Jonathan's head and placed their toys on the mattress, much to their fascination. She dug into the bag again and pulled out two bottles, and then a thermostat.

She stood up and walked over to Parker with a smile on her face. "Hello Parker, how are you today? I'm so sorry Nora's dumped this on you, I told her to give you a message a week earlier but she's not exactly your number one fan, and she does like to put us on the spot to see how well we perform under stress," Alcyone shook her head and then nodded her head towards the gear in her hands. "I'm going to put this stuff in their backpack," she nodded her head towards the pink backpack. "The thermostat has milk in it for them, the pink bottle is Andromeda's and the blue one is Jonathan's. If they start to cry, well, you get the picture," Alcyone hurried back over to the backpack and put the stuff inside again, before she walked to the doorway and knelt down in front of Capella, kissed her cheeks. She then stood up and grabbed her daughter's hand, pulling her over to Parker. "And this, is Capella's. She's shy, but she has her own things so will probably only pester you if she wants something sugar-y," Alcyone grinned and then ruffled Ella's hair and hurried to the door. "Hiya, little Lily!" She waved to the girl as she passed by. "See ya, Parker!" She waved and vanished down the hallway.

Tessa had grabbed a bag that had everything that Parker would need to take care of them. This was going to be hard since she was used to taking care of them. But she knew that she had to go back to work. And she hoped that Lily would help out as much as she could. But she really didn't show an interest into helping to get the twins bags ready. She the sighed as she then started to head to the fireplace. Tessa told Capper that he could go on ahead while she went to drop the twins off.

Lily went with Capper and when Tessa walked into the hospital wing she seen that Lily was talking to Capella. Tessa then went over and placed both Faith and Tyler in the play pen. She then walked over to Parker. Tessa felt bad because he was taking care of two sets of twins, Noah, and Sofia. But she smiled as she told him everything that he would need to know on how to take care of them. Because she left she went over and kissed them on the head and told them that she would be back between classes to see them. With that she then walked out and was going up to her classroom.

Tyler squirmed in his mother's arms and waved his arms about as he saw that they were going somewhere. "Mama!" He exclaimed, looking adorable as usual. The only time him and Faith weren't adorable where when they wanted to be tempermental, and for some reason an instinct within the devilish twins told them to be good for mama and dada.

Tyler looked around curiously as he took in the area he was in, and he felt himself being lowered. He looked at the ground and hit it in protest, looking for Faith. He found his sister and immediately reached over to pat her head. "Fai," he started, then pointed at Lily. "Look, 's Wiwwy," he said in a cheeky tone when his mother had walked over to Parker.

Parker nodded with a small smile when Lily said she had some books to keep her busy. It was nice to see rather than fancy charmed toys (which he saw kids with often back at Mungo's). He swore, those things were as much brain rotters at muggle handheld games. "What kinds of books?" he asked. As much as he didn't like chit-chat, keeping a child engaged was important. A bored kid was never a good thing. "Oh, and you can just set your things on of the beds if you want." he said as another little girl walked in, though she seemed the oldest of the group. That was good, maybe these two could help him a little bit.

He saw this girl also had a bag of things probably full of things to keep her busy too. He looked between the two, they knew each other, even better! Maybe this wasn't going to be as bad as he previously thought. Well, it'd still be bad, just not as bad. Upon seeing him though, she withdrew. Ah, shy. Parker himself looked a bit unsure about this all himself and he tried to give a small smile. "Hey there, come on in. Uh, I'm Parker. you can set your things on one of the beds if you want?" He offered, motioning over to one nearby.

He sighed as Alcyone walked in with her twins, but at least they seemed to have enough to do. More then Noah at least, with just his bear. He gave a smile to Alcyone as she set her kids' things up, saying goodbye to them and seeming so loving. As she turned her attention to him and asked how he was, he kinda of shrugged and chuckled, "Decently enough so far...If they don't kill me by the end of the day I'll say today was an accomplishment." At the mention of the headmistress, Parker sighed again, his humour now gone. "Yeah, I guess I deserve it though. I'll be doing my best though, so if they stay this good, I'm sure things will be just fine." he said, trying to sound reassuring. He nodded, taking in her instructions, and looking thankful to have some sort of guidance beyond what begin a healer taught him. "Understood, take care Alcyone-" he said, watching as she went over to her eldest and then taking her over and introducing her. "Doesn't sound like any trouble at all, hey there."

As she left, Parker waved back saying goodbye unsure, not knowing how he felt to be left alone with all these kids. He looked around at them all, not really sure what to do. He glanced back at the door when he heard another pair of footsteps approach and he wondered just how many more their were. Seeing Tess, he frowned. Oh yeah, she had twins also. This was going to be miserable. Anne had kids too but he figured there was no way in hell she'd leave them with him. It was the last thing he'd expect. As she set her kids down he tried to give her a polite smile. He could do without her being pissed at him as he tended to always piss people off.

Being left with them again he folded his hands together as he looked at the two older girls. "So, what do you two want to do?" He asked, having no idea what to do. Just let them go on and do their own things, plan some sort of game? Talk? Urg, this was the worse idea of all bad ideas, he thought as he looked down at all the toddlers.
