Aria leaned back in the coffee room enjoying the cup of coffee in her hand. No one ever said that such a glamorous job came with a bunch of paperwork. She had finished over four hours of paperwork and all she needed to soothe her soul was a good cup of coffee.

She hummed in glee as the cup warmed her hand. The silence in the coffee room was surprising, usually it was full of life, but right now, this was heaven.

Daedalus had been working for several hours filing pointless paperwork, he needed a break. Obviously the only choice was the sorry excuse break room down the hall. He finished filing the last bit of paperwork he had been working on, and quickly exited his office. Slowly wandering to the break room he heard a female voice humming a tune he didn't know.

Upon entering he noticed a new face, a female face, a rather cute female face.

Trying to hide his excitement, he went over to make a cup of coffee. Glancing over at her he noticed her general demeanor as someone who had just had there nirvana of silence shattered.

Looking back to the coffee, he takes a cup and leans on the other counter. He figured, however, he should at least introduce himself.

"Nice to see a new face here, I'm Daedalus Hawksfeather."

Aria heard the footsteps coming into the coffee room; yes it ruined the silence but she didn't really mind. She figured they'd make a cup of coffee and be on their way, but that wasn't about to happen as she heard him talk to her.

She opened her eyes and stared at him and gaze a lazy smile, raising her hand to give a half hearted wave. He was knew, or at least she never really noticed him. Aurors for her, were just people who she worked with, no one caught her interested, no one really mattered.

"Aria Todd" she replied in a curt tone. "Long day?"

Daedalus knew he had interrupted Aria's peaceful break. As such he didn't want to impede any further.

"Yes, this paperwork is a bitch," he muttered back.

"I have obviously disturbed your slight escape from endless paperwork," he replied in short. "It was nice meeting you briefly, if you need any help I will be in my office."

With that, Daedalus hurried out of the room with he coffee in hand, spilling some of the scolding liquid on his hand and cursing along the way.

Aria chuckled, and was side eyed before he simply began to walk away. No one had ever really done that before and she found herself doing terribly unlike her. She walked towards the doorway, smirking as she saw him spill a bit of coffee on his hand.

He sure was quirky, that much was unexpected. She couldn't help but call out:

"Am I that repelling that you find yourself running away?"

She leaned against the doorway, hoping he'd turn around. He really caught her interest, simply because of him running away, or avoiding her. That rarely happened.

Daedalus had just reached his office door when he heard her call after him. He laughed a bit at her remark, and turned around.

"No, I just don't believe in being a nuisance to people who need some well deserved peace."

He continued into his office, wiping his hands on his pants, the coffee had burned his hand. He leaned back out of his office door and called back, "have a nice day Aria!"
Sitting back down he finished his coffee, and went back to work.

Aria shook her head and wondered back to the coffee room. He sure was a different one; shrugging, she made herself another coffee and walked towards her office. She counted the doors till, his and shook her head, at her curiosity before heading towards her office in the other wing.

Once she entered her office, she sat down and propped her feet on her desk as she sipped his coffee. Closing her eyes she simply concentrated on her cup of coffee, not the man who ran.
