| Ace walked through a forest he knew like the back of his pocket. He knew how many steps he would have to take to get to his destination. He could see it. He walked for precisely 68 and a half step and then he was standing in front of the crystalclear lake. Hence the name. He smiled to himself and took of his shoes and socks. It was cold out, but this was just the temperature he wanted. Maybe he'd go up here on New Year's Eve. He stepped into the water and smiled slightly.
He hadn't planned on bathing today, but, feeling very impulsive, he took off his white shirt and denim trousers. The cold air cut his skin, but he loved the feeling. He cherished the cold, though he did love warmth just as much, being born in the Caribbean. He smiled to himself and then walked to a big stone by the edge of the waters. He stood there, ten feet above the water. He could see the bottom, but it was far. At least twenty feet. He smiled to himself and then he raised his arms and dove into the ice-cold waters.
It was freezing. But his body easily adjusted to it. He broke the surface and looked around himself. He smiled slightly to himself and swam a bit, liking it better underneath the water. This made him unable to notice when someone else arrived to the lake as well. |

| Dana breathed in deeply. The clear air that drifted off the water filtered her thoughts and filled her chest, making her feel light and bubbly. There didn't seem to be any dragons floating around today, so Dana decided to relax and enjoy the typical English weather.
There was a splash off to her right and Dana's head snapped up to see someone swimming on the opposite shore. She grinned and half-raised an eyebrow. Wasn't it a bit cold for swimming? She wouldn't know anyway - it wasn't like she could swim.
Sighing, Dana sat back on a rock and dipped her bare feet in the cool, crystal-clear water. She watched the person resurface a few times before diving down again. |

| Ace seriously enjoyed the temperature of the water. He couldn't really explain what it meant for him, but it brought peace to his soul. Something he needed. He swam under the water for a while longer, and then his head broke the surface as he was ready to get out he swam to a place where he'd have ground under his feet and slowly walked out of the water, cherishing the feeling of it.
He made it to his clothes and threw on the white shirt that immediately stuck to his upper body. He then took on his trousers, and then he performed a drying spell. It felt as though his whole body had been put under a hairdryer, feeling very warm, though comfortably so.
Ace looked around and then he saw a girl sitting a bit off. He wondered how long she'd been there and he walked towards her. When he reached her, he put on a charming face. "Hey there," he said kindly, "Enjoying the good weather?" |

| Dana stared into the shallow depths of the crystal water and watched in glee as a school of tiny little ghost fish swam past her feet. The rocks mingled with sand below the wind-ruffled surface of the blue water. It was totally irrelevant, but Dana found it oddly fascinating.
She obviously had not had a proper day off like this in ages.
Rolling her eyes at herself, Dana looked up just in time to see the swimmer climb out of the water and pull on a white shirt. It clung to his saturated body and Dana couldn't see the point in looking away - especially because he was already eye candy without being wet and having his shirt become practically see through and... Dana blinked, smothering a small pout as he used some sort of spell to dry himself out.
Dana tried to look as casual as possible when the man started making his way over to her. She smiled brightly back, even though his handsome features that were manipulated into a very, very charming composure seemed completely and utterly distracting.
"Oh yes," she began. "It's quite comfortable for Britain." Dana grinned mischievously. "Weren't you a bit cold swimming just before?" |
