PostSubject: The Key To Her Thoughts (Invite Only)   The Key To Her Thoughts (Invite Only) EmptyWed Jun 06, 2012 2:18 am

[[Sorry it's short but i'm in class and have to get this out before the bell goes!]]

It didn't take Dusk long to figure out where exactly this Parker boy lived. All she did was get out the wizarding address book and search Emery, Parker. She always thought it ridiculous to introduce such a thing, as it made stalking people easier. Of course, she never voiced this thought because this would make it harder for her to locate people. There were a few Parker Emery's in the book, three to be exact, but only one of them matched Pyxis' thoughts. Her Parker didn't have much money, therefore it was logical that he would live in a bad part of town. Dusk shut the book and tossed it out onto the street, not caring that it knocked over a girl riding her bike. In fact, this just made her smirk.

She pulled the hood of her cloak up to hide her face and moved throughout this part of town quietly, her cloak slithering along the ground. She heard them laughing at her, pointing and jibing. She turned to look at them - muggles - and let her hood fall back. "Why my dear's, must you laugh at me for trying to conceal myself?" She asked in that tone she used right before she killed a person. It was merciless. Their eyes widened in fear, but they were all dead within seconds. They each looked like they'd been stabbed in the neck and the murderer had run off. More fun that way, as when she took over then she would slowly let the muggles in on the secret that they weren't alone.

Dusk turned when she found the right building and stepped inside, ignoring the looks she received from some people. She swept along straight to his apartment door and tapped her wand to it, causing it to open slowly and quietly. He was writing something when she stepped in and cleared her throat. Her cloak fell away to reveal herself as she pointed her wand at Parker. the door slammed shut behind her. "Hello, Parker dearest. Tell me now, have you heard from Pyxis lately?" She asked.

The Key To Her Thoughts (Invite Only) Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Key To Her Thoughts (Invite Only)   The Key To Her Thoughts (Invite Only) EmptyWed Jun 06, 2012 4:25 am

This first week of coming back to this shit-hole had been terrible so far. He felt on edge every aching moment, and he couldn't even get reprieve by sleeping, which he either couldn't get any of or was plagued by nightmares of the past or of Pyxis... He couldn't stop blaming himself for that. How could he not blame himself? Parker sighed, laying down on the couch, staring at the wall. He had hardly been able to get himself up to do anything. He didn't have the energy from both the lack of sleep and lack of food he had. He missed the stability of the castle. Coming back and having to be surrounded by the police sirens and gangs walking around he'd become the same old nervous wreck he'd been in the past.

Unable to really handle it, he had sent a letter to Anne the day before. It was childish really, and he'd be giving away where he lived, but he needed it. He needed a bit of reassurance. Anne could always give that to him. She was like Pyxis, able to tell him when he was being stupid or foolish, able to get his mind out of the ruts he created for himself. He looked up, and propped up on his elbow when he heard a clicking at the window. He waved his hand, opening the window as he owl flew in towards him. Parker closed the window with another wave of his hand, and took the letter from his owl that was perched on the couch. He read the supportive encouraging words and slowly sat up. He sighed and stood up, grabbing a scrap paper off the coffee table and his quill. He wrote back, thanking her and telling her that he was going to be okay. That he just needed to vent a little and he was sorry for having to bother her. He then wrote questions, asking about how her kids and husband were doing, wishing them all the best of luck.

He stood up, walking over to the window where his owl was now perched, with its leg out waiting. He put the quill in his mouth as he folded up the letter, preparing to tie it to his owl. When he heard a creak. He took the quill in his hand again and froze, feeling a chill go down his back when he heard a woman clear her throat and a cloak fall to the floor. His hand shaking, he quickly scrawled a large 'HELP' on the back of the letter before quickly tying it to his owl and practically shoving it out the window as he shut it. As the door shut and she began to speak, as quickly as he could he grabbed his wand from his waistband firing off a disarming spell as he tried to run and duck out of the way of whatever spell she might send towards him.

The Key To Her Thoughts (Invite Only) Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Key To Her Thoughts (Invite Only)   The Key To Her Thoughts (Invite Only) EmptyWed Jun 06, 2012 4:41 am

Dusk watched as he scribbled something on the back of the envelope he'd just written on and practically shoved the owl out of the window. Probably a cry for help, this thought made her want to laugh. She couldn't believe he was so dim-witted as to think help would come for him in time, could he? She could take him straight away, he didn't exactly look like the strongest fighter. She smirked at him as she sensed his panic at her presence, it pretty much filled the room. Like that day at the ball, with all the fear in the air and the dead children - she loved it. She loved to feel powerful, frightening, she loved that feeling of knowing someone else was panicking because she was in the room with them. She watched as he whipped around and grabbed his wand, firing a spell at her. Carelessly, she flicked it away from her and it crashed against the wall with a loud 'bang!' She shook her head at him and now turned to where he was, wand poised and ready. She honestly had expected a bit more of a fight, but he'd proven that he wasn't exactly the greatest and she didn't have the patience to fight with him when Pyxis and all the secrets of the OOTP were waiting.

She realised there was a better way to get him to come quietly, no fuss at all, so long as her suspicions were correct. She tucked her wand into her boot and crossed her arms, focusing on his mind. She felt resistance, ah, a legillemens in training. She snorted with laughter and roughly pushed past his barriers. All she needed was one memory - and there it was! He cared about Pyxis, not as deeply as she did about him, or was that confusion accompanied with his emotions? She laughed again and withdrew from his mind, seeing what she needed to see. How painful for Pyxis indeed, knowing he cared but not knowing how much because he didn't know either. Oh, she was going to have ever so much fun with these two. She might even keep them both around instead of murdering them just for entertainment every now and then. "Don't be a fool, Parker," she laughed and offered a fresh memory of her own to him through their minds. It was Pyxis, in the air, screaming in agony. "Why if you don't come, I might just have to do that for hours on end until she finally caves and gives me what I need. You don't want that, do you?" She asked with raised eyebrows.

The Key To Her Thoughts (Invite Only) Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Key To Her Thoughts (Invite Only)   The Key To Her Thoughts (Invite Only) EmptyWed Jun 06, 2012 6:11 am

Parker knew that help would not come soon enough, but someone knowing he was in danger was all he needed. No one would have known otherwise and at that very moment he realized just how alone he was. No one would know if he died that day, or that week, or that month. Not until school got back or some important papers needed to be signed by him, when owls were returned with no answer. The evoked a sense of panic in him stronger then that of this woman attacking him.

When his spell was rebounded into the wall, he ducked down behind the ratty arm chair that he was near. His hand not wrapped tightly around his hand was clutching his head over his ear which was ringing from the loud noise. He was shaking terribly, but was not going to go without a fight, he would not let her kill him. How the hell did she even find him- He took a deep breath, trying to fit it all together, and he then recognized her as the woman who took Pyxis. Oh crap, he thought. He closed his eyes and took a breath. Why did he have to be such a poor fighter? Damn it.

Not hearing any spells being thrown at the chair he was hiding behind, he opened his eyes, listening. He felt a disturbance...he groaned, clenching his hand over his head as he tried to keep the intruding force out. If only he'd been smarter and signed up for the extra class at school, he'd be better at this. He winced as he felt her force herself through, but only for a moment. A moment was all it took though. In an instant he also saw a flash of Pyxis in his mind, suffering. In agony. Because of him. He shook his head, trying to clear his mind. No, no, this couldn't be happening, he thought as the woman spoke. He shouted out without thinking, "NO!" and quickly turned around, still half hiding behind the chair to use as a defense. He sent an 'Expulso' at the lamp on the table next to her, hoping to blast her with shattered glass to distract her long enough so he could try to get the hell out of there.

The Key To Her Thoughts (Invite Only) Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Key To Her Thoughts (Invite Only)   The Key To Her Thoughts (Invite Only) EmptyWed Jun 06, 2012 6:57 am

Dusk sighed heavily at his persistent hiding. How could Pyxis love him? He was such a coward, hiding and not fighting back at all. Admittedly he had a rugged handsomeness about him but that was about it. He cried, he was a total wimp, he was a coward, and he was poor. She was beginning to question the sanity of the girl she'd captured, but then again, who was Dusk to question sanity when she was so insane herself? She pulled a razor out of her boot and toyed with the blade whilst she waited for him to do something. Come out of hiding, anything really. She was bored of standing there waiting, even though only a few seconds had passed since she rebounded his spell against the wall. She had an urge to yawn and now wished she sent Collin and Storm to do such a dull job for her instead of going out herself. However, she could feel that Katie was pleased about something and knew they were probably all having fun with Pyxis, something they wouldn't get too much of a chance to do once she returned.

For as the leader, it was her job to spike the fear among the people, let a few escape to tell tales of the horrors she did to them. It wouldn't do to have her stand in the background whilst her minions did the work, she would look weak and pathetic. Dusk's eyes narrowed at the thought of someone calling her weak and pathetic. All her life, Dusk had done this to prove that she was strong, powerful, better than everyone else in this whole damn world. No one was going to take that away from her, no escaped prisoner, no one. Anyone who dared to cross her would surely perish.

She laughed at his proclamation of no, and could feel the guilt inside of him before she was pushed out of his mind once more. She tossed the blazer at his arm which she could see peeking out from the couch, before there was an explosion of a lamp. Shards came flying at her from the direction it came from, and the light very suddenly went out as was to be expected. Glass especially came flying towards her. She held up a hand and it turned to sand as it passed through her barrier, falling to the floor as she shut her eyes. She whipped around to him as he made to escape and laughed manically, sending more images of Pyxis' in pain. There were real memories, some fake ones that were gruesome of the skin on Pyxis' feet being burned off, and some that were a mixture of real and fake. "You're going to leave her to die?" She asked, tilting her head to the side. "How tragic, and she cares for you so much. She'd die to protect you, Parker. Clearly, you wouldn't do the same." Dusk said as if this was a tragedy to her. She was really just using Pyxis' love for him to her advantage, as she did with everything.

The Key To Her Thoughts (Invite Only) Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Key To Her Thoughts (Invite Only)   The Key To Her Thoughts (Invite Only) EmptyWed Jun 06, 2012 7:21 am

Parker felt his gut wrench at her cold laugh, he'd heard laughs like that only a few times from patients in the ER; strung out on drugs, out of their minds, having just killed while in a crazed stupor and also terribly injured themselves. But from this woman, the laugh evoked something deeply unsettling to him. As he had whipped around to cause the lamp to explode, he had taken a deep breath to try to steel himself. He needed to get out of weak pathetic Parker mode. He needed to become that quick, emotionless Healer Emery, he needed to in order to live. In order to save Pyxis. He winced as the razor sliced his arm, but with the adrenaline pumping through his system, there was no other feeling that came from it.

The force of the explosion caught him off guard and he closed his eyes, raising his already injured arm up to block his face as shards flew at him as well, gashing his arm open and leaving small cuts on his forehead and cheek. He didn't see Dusk turn the glass to sand as he started to run for it. With his eyes half shut feeling dizzy as he stood up quickly, he had tripped over the leg of the coffee table, tripping and falling over into some of the sand and glass shards. He tensed, resting his forehead on the ground, groaning from physical and mental pain as the gruesome images of Pyxis flashed through his mind.

He cried out in pain, "Stop! Stop it!" His voice cracked, and his hand was wrapped so tightly around his wand his knuckes were white. He couldn't open one of his eyes as blood from the cut on his forhead having dripped down into it. And the blood from the cut of his arms had the sand and glass shards sticking to him. Damn him being so weak. Damn the fact that he'd never be able to defend himself or help anyone.

The Key To Her Thoughts (Invite Only) Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Key To Her Thoughts (Invite Only)   The Key To Her Thoughts (Invite Only) EmptyWed Jun 06, 2012 7:35 am

Not even a cry of pain as her razor sliced into him, Dusk was impressed. Though she remember from Pyxis' something about him being a healer. She found this information to be useful as she watched him fail to escape. He slipped over and crashed into the glass, damaging himself more than she was going to to get him to escape. She raised her eyebrows and decided that she wasn't impressed with him at all. He was weak, pathetic, just like she'd thought. He took the images of Pyxis in pain away and was by his side in an instant, crouching down next to him. Her eyes were wide with excitement as she realised she had won, she could easily take him back to the other now. He definitely wouldn't escape, even if he tried to. She smirked viciously, thinking of how much fun she was going to have with him and Pyxis. She couldn't wait to get started, for playing with emotions was always fun - but love? Love was the most fun of all. She had to refrain from squealing.

She reached out her hand to gently touch his forehead, before digging her nails in lightly and scratching at it to get rid of the sand. She knew it disturbed people when she touched them so tenderly, like a lovers touch, so she returned to doing that, stroking her hand down his cheek to his chin. She was tempted to go further, just for good measure, but decided against it. She pressed her fingers against the blood dribbling down his forehead and raised them to the light, before she wiped them on her clothing and stood up. "You're pathetic, you know that right? I don't know what that bloody girl sees in you." Dusk shook her head, the reason was lost on her. The whole concept of love was completely and utterly lost on Dusk. She could never understand the feeling of love, not until she experienced it herself. And even then, she might never experience it.

"You'll be with her soon, Parker, and she can watch while you scream." Dusk spoke menacingly, almost excitedly. She loved this sort of thing, torturing her victims. Love was such a useful weapon and she would never want to weaken herself by feeling such an emotion. She placed a hand on his shoulder and apparated the two of them back to the headquarters, where she let his body fall to the ground.

-I'll post this in the Dark Ones thing too ^^-

Anne was sitting on her couch, relaxing as both her children were taking a nap. She was relaxed for the first time in a while. Too bad it was short lived. She saw a flash of Parker writing help. She then closed her eyes and tried to focus on him. She saw why he wrote it and panicked seeing the clock as well. She turned on the spot concentrating on the place in her vision. She arrived to a destroyed place and swore aloud.

"Damn It Parker." She said aloud trying to find him in her mind. Damn it was with the Dark ones. She shook her head and prayed he'd stay strong. She knew what she had to do. She had to have him found. Two people was far worse than one. They now had both. She knew Pyxis might talk if Parker was in pain. She loved him. She knew as well as anyone that Love made people do stupid things.

She closed her eyes and Appereated to HQ. They needed to know about this.
