Deva walked into her classroom from her office, very ready for a new lesson. Before she forgot to do so, Deva walked to the desk Ms. Dursley last had sat by, and placed a sheet with information of what this class would be about. The spell of the lesson would be Expelliarmus, and she waved her wand so the word stood in white chalk on the blackboard.

She leaned back in her chair, waiting for the class to assemble.

Meliae was first to to enter the classroom. She still want to learn defend against the dark art. She loved to learn new thing that is she came through the door she took a seat on one benches she had book in hand and she had one book of fiction story and another book of defends against the dark arts.That she seemed to gotten quiet waiting some people within the class and such things.

Halcyon walked into the classroom and sat down in the front, near a girl from Ravenclaw. He gave a nod to the professor and took out his books, looking at the blackboard. Expelliarmus. He knew what that spell did, but he wasn't sure how quickly he'd learn it. He shrugged it off and thought that he had better do the best he could, that was all anyone could ask of him either way.

He leaned back in his chair, and waited for the rest of the class to show up so the lesson could start.

Rubi walked into the DADA classroom, seeing two students already there. One of which she had not seen last lesson, and she would imagine to have seen him. He wasn't someone you forgot easily. He was pretty darned good looking. She wondered who he was, and then shrugged it off, walking to the front and sitting down. DADA wasn't a favorite lesson of hers, but it really wasn't a horrible class either. Well, none of her classes were horrible... But dislikable, maybe. She took out her wand and books, reading 'Expelliarmus' on the blackboard, and smiling. Maybe they'd be performing some magic today.

Sophie walked into her class and smiled slightly at the professor. She hoped she be ok at this. She didn't want to make a fool of herself. She sighed as she took a random seat. She didn't know anyone in this class very well.

She looked at the board and saw what was written on it. She wondered what she was going to do. She wasn't sure if she could do this spell.

Carey stood at the doorway, looking over the people in the room, seeing where he could sit. There was Meliae in the front....with, damn it, Halcyon. He frowned, seeing one of the twins also. He sighed, straightening himself out before walking briskly to the front of the room so he could see, but not too close to Halcyon. He still could put his finger on whatever it was that he just...couldn't stand. He wasn't outright rude, he wasn't cruel or anything, hell he'd never said anything too ill intentioned to him. So he really had no reason.

As he took his seat he rolled his eyes at himself. He looked at the board, crossing his arms, and then he glared down at the desk. He needed to keep his mouth shut in this class.

As Alexis entered the classroom, her eyes swept over the students in a scrutinising manner. Slytherin boy again, excitable Hufflepuff, quiet Gryffindor, Slytherin girl, Ravenclaw girl. Quite the assortment of students, she noted. She smiled as she saw the Gryffindor she'd been looking for - Halcyon - and she walked over to him. "Hey." She greeted as she took a seat beside him without asking. If he had a problem with her sitting next to him, she really didn't care.

Aislin stepped into class, humming a soft, lilting tune her mother had taught her when she was little. Her eyes swept over the classroom - there was Biabin, Halcyon, Carey, Carey's friend - Meliae, she thought that was her name - and two Slytherin girls she'd never met before. She smiled, seeing Halcyon was next to a Slytherin with bright red hair, she walked up and took a seat next to Carey. Aislin shot a small wave in Halcyon's direction before turning to Carey.

"Morning," she said briskly, pulling out her books. Her eyes scanned over the board and she knew that this lesson was going to be promising.

Tatiana made it into DADA class and was a little confused about everything. She had arrived late so she did not make it to the last class.

She went through her basic routine of sanitizing her desk and her hands, She knew people probably thought she was a little strange but she didn't care.

She was a little nervous about everything going on around her so she just found a seat and sat down and waited for more instruction.

Jamie picked at the dirt under her nails as she stomped along to her DADA lesson. Her depressed mood had turned into one of irritation that day and she burst into the lesson with an annoyed glare set around the room. She felt positively livid at the in-justice of her situation, oh how she longed to be able to sleep in her own bed WITHOUT bloody vivid yellow hangings! Honestly, how students were meant to sleep with the luminous yellow glow was behind her. She sneered at Carey and then stormed over to Rubi and sat down beside her with a 'huff!'. She said nothing as she crossed her arms and slumped in her chair, her face flushed red with irritation.

She was quiet she look over to check on Carey just see if he was okay. Sure the two where different house but still she did not discrimination against house.It was just dumb that she found it silly to disliked someone because of their house but Carey was teaching her English. But still she felt the need to watch over him now and then.

What was wrong with that? His family took in they did not have to and or for that matter they could have left him there on the street and that was her reason. She felt she kinda own him and so she glance over and she was quiet and she did not say anything to the stranger boy.

She bet the reason boy decide to seat by her when she reading that Ravenclaw suppose smart. Yeah he probably expect the stereotype Ravenclaw that she was smart. Yeah she was smart but depend on certain area. She was not perfect and she knew that and most people where not perfect at everything.

Carey looked over to Aislin as she sat down. he was about to say hello when she sent a friendly wave over to Halcyon. He just looked back at his desk. They were both gryffindors, what did he expect? Just because he was friends with someone he didn't know if he liked or not, didn't mean he had to be rude to her.

He glanced at her again when she said morning. He nodded. "Yeah, Morning..." He had turned in his chair when he heard people coming in, and after a Ravenclaw he'd never met before was Jamie. A livid, red in the face, Jamie. He couldn't help but smile. What the hell got her so upset, he wondered to himself, a bit amused, as he turned forward in his chair again.

He had glanced back over to Meliae and Halcyon, wondering if she was going to get all friendly with him like everyone else. Not like she had any reason not to...she was her own person and didn't have to be swayed by whatever stupid reason he had for disliking Halcyon.

He sighed and looked back at the front of the class.

Deva looked around the room, seeing bad blood between a lot of the people. It was pretty much oozing off them. She sighed inwardly, but didn't want to reprimand them for being kids. She decided to give a smile at them and then cleared her throat.

"All right everyone, listen up," she said importantly, "Today we will be practicing the spell 'Expelliarmus'. Can anyone tell me what effect this spell has?" she asked them all, looking into their faces.

Rubi instantly looked up as Jamie walked into the classroom, knowing something was up. She bit her lip as her twin sat down next to her, looking angry, annoyed, sad and hurt. What had happened? Her eyes went to Carey sitting not too far away, and back again, but something told her it wasn't Carey. Rubi took Jamie's hand in hers.

She was about to ask what was wrong as professor White cleared her throat, and she just squeezed Jamie's hand softly. She then rose her hand as the professor asked the question. The first thing she had done when she entered the classroom was to look up the spell, and had by now found out what it was.

"It's effect is to disarm your opponent, or to make your opponent let go of whatever he or she is holding in their hands, and if you focus enough, the items will be sent to the one performing the spell," Rubi said clearly.

Jamie felt the worried gaze of her twin on her face as she frowned up at the teacher, impatient for the lesson to start so she could go sit around by herself once more. How tired she was of these lessons and the people in them, how tired she was of this whole school. She longed to go home.

Her hand was almost ripped out of Rubi's grasp as she felt her take it, but it took half a second for her to realise it was just Rubi and she relaxed. She wanted to rest her head on her twins shoulder and cry, but she knew that now was neither the time nor the place.

Jamie remained silent as the teacher spoke and didn't even have the heart to squeeze Rubi's hand or smile. Instead, she just scowled at the table.

Sophie listened to what Jamie, no Jamie was in hufflepuff, that must be her twin. Jaime's Twin said. She had no clue but it sounded cool. She wanted to try it out. She smiled at most of the people in the class and almost waved to Carey but stopped herself. Class had begun, anyway she needed to make new friends.

Deva smiled at Rubi. "Precisely. Five points to Slytherin, Ms. Wright," she said and turned to the rest of the class again.

"I want you to pair up. If there is an odd one out, go together three and work the spell in turns. The hand movement needs to be precise. There's a very short horizontal flick, before you turn it into an equally short vertical flick," she said and gave them a demonstration.

"The spell is pronounced 'Ex-pelli-ar-mus," she said, stressing the 'pelli', "Expelliarmus."

"Pair up and begin," she said calmly.

Halcyon turned to Alexis as she sat down beside him and he gave her a smirk. "Hello there," he said. He was pretty happy that he had met Alexis again, now remembering the time they had spent on that party as extremely hilarious and funny.

When the professor asked a question, and a girl from Slytherin replied, Halcyon decided that maybe it was time to start paying attention. He did so and when professor White asked them to pair up, he gave a grin to Alexis. "You up for it?" he asked, his smirk widening.

Tati was not sure what to do, she didn't know anyone really. She had shown up late.

She stated back by her desk, maybe someone would come back to her to work with her. She really hated the fact that she had this OCD but she would get through this class, it was an easy spell.

She look over at Carey did she want to pair up with her. She did not know much about these student and Carey was only student she knew that is.She look over at Carey. You up for it Carey.She asked the boy wondering if they could take each on that is.

Deva looked around the class. No one was really doing anything. She wanted to smack her head into the table, but it seemed like two of the students had been trying to get some work done. She looked at the clock and saw that it was time to end the class.

"All right then! Next class I need you to focus, people, if you want to learn anything. Five points to Ravenclaw, Ms. Winters. Five points to Gryffindor as well, Mr. Dumbledore," Deva said calmly and then looked around.

"Class dismissed," she said.
