Her parent where not nicest her biological mother was good to her but still her step mother was not nicest. She sought every way to beat the pancakes out of her. She was quiet that is and she was quiet that is out in alley that is.

She stood there by one trash she found some muggle match out there by trash can. She felt rain drop she had stay warm some what she could not get sick from being out here. She lit the trash can on fire she had with it the bag everything went up blaze. It was her attempt to stay warm that is.

When she seat down one box she found by can she put whatever she could find around the can in the fire in order stay warm that is. As she seat there this wild raven or crow flew down. She did not know which the bird was that is. She look around she seat perfectly still that is she saw something in the dumpster and dug around in she came across the bread. She broke this pieces of bread on the ground she went to feeding some birds and stuff such things.

Carey was being pulled around by his mother yet again to do some errands. She always dragged him around one place or another. She was going out shopping for her next big party for all the new people she'd met. Carey sighed, feeling very bored as he trailed behind her as she went from store to store. He had his large overcoat with his hood up and his mother had her umbrella as it was starting to rain. He just wanted to go home.

As his mother went into one store, he said he would just wait outside for her, not wanting to get stuck holding another bag. He paced for a while and passed by a nearby alleyway a few times. He heard some noise and looked into the alleyway, wondering if it was some homeless person. He saw a little girl around his age and he called out to her,. "Hey! What do you think you're doing!?"

He was curious what she was doing, and where her parents were. She looked dirty too. Surely she couldn't be homeless?

She live out here in the streets yeah and original place she used to lived was Greece. But sneak on the ship that is and it was going to England. That how she got here she was from Greece and such things. She did not live with her parent no she miss her biological mother was dead but she miss her so much. Her step mother belief that magic was bad and such things.

She was quiet she was feeding the birds and then they flew away when heard the boy coming she start to sing to herself it was not English what she was singing.She knew French rather well that is.

The words where French she had Greek accent that is and what she singing to herself and then she heard some noise and then when the boy spoken. Then when the boy start speak to her and she was looking at boy to help her learn English.

I was feeding the birdss.She was looking back at the boy she had accent and she was homeless most people usually keep walking being homeless. I was also warming myself with fire I made."She did not place to stay at her mother was in the ground and she did not regard her father or step mother as family she disowned and yes she was too young to do that. But when your beaten so many time she decide that was for the best.

When Carey was walking past the ally, he heard soft singing and he didn't know where it was coming from. It sounded weird, a bit like what he heard his father speak to his grandparents before. But he didn't know the language. A flew birds flew past him as they were startled by him and he stepped back waving them away. he really did hate birds.

The girl he called out to heard him and looked at him. She must have been homeless. She was in a box and had apparently made a fire. He could almost not understand her through her accent. "Oh, why are you doing that? Have you got no place to go?" He felt a little bad. Despite that he could come across as a brat sometimes, his mother had taught him to be concerned for others with less then him. And she was his age. It was so strange to him to see someone his age on the streets, it didn't seem right at all. How was she supposed to take care of herself? "What's your name?"

It was French that language she could tell him that.Now she was just starting to learn English that is. She did not hate birds she also liked cats and dogs. Those animal yes they made companion by him.

She could not help being born in Greece that accent was hard not to have that is. When it came to her Greek accent it was what she rise with. Her mother was witch and such things.She look down at the book. I.

She pause awhile in thought as she start to flip through this old book she found that was teaching her English.I have no where else to go. So I stay out here. She pause awhile and then the last sentence made her flip through the page. as to try to understand them.I'm Meliae. She told the boy looking back at the boy watching the boy quietly looking back at the boy wondering what he would do now.

Carey watched the girl curiously as she flipped through a book she had had with her. She spoke and flipped through more pages. His expression lightened a bit, realizing she didn't just have an accent she hardly knew English. Had she snuck over here or something? Or did someone leave her? He wondered these things to himself.

Being in these parts too, there was no doubt she must have been magic. Carey cleared his throat. "I'm Carey..." He groaned quietly, and scratched the back of his head, not knowing what he should do, if anything at all. "Where are you from?"

He took a step back from the alley way and looked to the side to see if his mother was coming. He sighed and looked back at the Meliae. "Do you want food? Money? Er..." He glanced to check if his mother was coming yet. She was a charitable type. He wasn't as much as her or his brother, but seeing her really made him worry. It was uncharacteristic of him and he didn't know what would be okay to give her.

Meliae came from Greece that was where she from and the place she was living that is and she had lost her mother had gotten sick and died so in way she was left there. Her father of course remarried this step mother who would beat her.

She listen to the man and what he said to the man looking back at the man.Carey. She repeat to the man and look back at him she assumed that was his name. She went to flipping through the pages the next question threw her. She went to flipping through the page. She look down she went to flipping through the came then from. Then she put two together that he meant where she came from.Η Ελλάδα She respond to him Greek that was purely accident that is it might struck him. "Greece." She repeat herself this time in English she said to him.

Then she listen quietly what she said to the boy listening to what might boy was saying. All those thing as study the page on food would be good but money would be good too.Her stomach was growling caused her look down.But she was not type to take someone money she was rise not take money. If he hand her some money she might hand it back to him. She turn the page.I'm hungry.

Carey continued to watch the girl curiously as she was still flipping through the book. He wondered how much of English she knew, if any at all. He tilted head to the side slightly and looked puzzled when she said something in yet another language he didn't recognize.

He then raised an eyebrow when she said she was from Greece. "Greece?" he repeated in disbelief. "How did you get here, to England?" he asked, still surprised.

Hearing her growling stomach he frowned and furrowed his eyebrows. He knew hoe people hated to be pitied, but he couldn't help it with her. "Yeah...hungry..." Carey then heard the jingle of a stop door open, his mother coming down the side walk. He turned around, walking out of the alley to get her attention, a serious expression on his face. His mother stopped walking and raised an eyebrow at him. They spoke in quick, hushed tones before his mother peeked over his shoulder and spotted the small girl, rushing over. Carey leaned back against the wall on the outside of the alley looking uncomfortable. He hoped his mother would do something for her.

His mother approached, but not too close. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear as she spoke. "Oh, Darling, have you any parents? A place to go?"

Meliae watch him and she was quiet and she look back at the boy.That was some words she knew that is and she start drag out piece of paper from a box.She was looking down it was women with red hair it look liked the girl mother.

Then she look down at him that question was long story that. Her father and step mother beat her up that is. But she ran her finger over the old picture of her. In the picture she was young then she was just maybe ten year old and she had arm around her. And of course on the other side the picture had black on the other side black where her father was.

She had color it she did not want to see him with her mother.She start flip through the pages.I got in box that was full of food.That was for sailor in port that was going to England.That answer his question how she got here but that did not answer why.

Parents she study the word more in the book English words. One who nurtures and raise children.She had to find the word to define that one and she had got so quiet at the thought about the parents and tear went down check.Then when she respond that one day about that her mother dead and that she was not her mother her step mother when she did stood up for herself and she was knock down.She pull at the rage dress she had on with her knees had sores and burn place on it where she was jab by something hot. She her injures that is.

Parents? She pause awhile in thought for the most part.Good parent dead. She respond as she look over the book in English she was trying to speak English hard. Then she look over the next words threw her of course.She start dig through a letter she got from hogwart.Not till hogwart starts.Then I have that places.

Carey frowned. He watched her take out what he assumed as a picture and he listening to her tell how she came here. It sounded like it was from a story. It was hard to believe people had to live like that and he didn't know what to say. It was all hard to really relate to as he was born into a good life and it made him realize he took it all for granted. He wondered what could have happened to have driven her to sneak over.

He saw the tear go down her face and his frown deepened, looking down at his feet when he had gone to get his mother. When his mother had come up to the girl, she saw how upset she looked. She looked over the little girl, seeing her injuries and how dirty she was. Carey's mother gingerly held out her hand and said, "Dear, we can take you in. It would break my heart to leave you here. We can feed you and get you ready for school. You are old enough for school aren't you?" Carey's mother couldn't tell. The girl looked so small and frail she could be quite young.

Carey listened from the end of the alleyway. He didn't expect his mother to make an offer like that. But with the way he was raised, he knew it would be cruel just to leave her to fend for herself. She was just as old as he was and had nothing. He didn't know what to feel about that though, taking in a street kid...

Meliae had gotten quiet looking back at the picture it was her biological mother. It was one thing she brought with her from Greece.She did have good life before her mother got sick and died. Then her life went bad after that soon after that. Well her step mother beat her up and knock her down.

She seemed to watch the women she was stranger she did not know what to maked of her because she was stranger to her. When mention dear she had look down at the book did she mean the animal deer or dear. She was not animal so she broken her heart as she study the English words.She took her hand was cold and boney that what her hand was.

I'm 11 year old. Yeah I'm old enough. My English is bad.

She was street kid she had to do this and that is two picture one with her sister that was older then her she did not know if she was still alive she honestly did not know but she knew that others where dead. Mothers last born was dead and that was the fact he died because he would not stopped cried.The minster of magic had not found out about this family it was ashamed that had happened.

Carey's mother frowned more as she took the child's hand. She was so cold and so frail, in that sort of state it would be hard to imagine anyone surviving. She raised her eyebrows slightly when she said she was eleven. The girl was so small it was hard to believe. "So you'll be starting school this year...have you heard of Hogwarts? My son will be going there..." His mother said weakly, turning her head a bit to look back over to her son, Carey who was mostly out of view.

She looked back to the girl. "11 is young, my family can take care of you. We have money and food. You could have a good life. A very good life even."

The woman looked down at the picture in the little girl's other hand. "All little girls need a nice family...and we could teach you more English..." she said, silently pleading for the girl to agree to let her take her in as she continued to hold onto her small hand.

Meliae was quiet as she look up at the boy and she look back at the women.She could not help it she was always look frail when she was baby but her mother had fatten her up and then she got thin because of her step mother. She was bad women to say the least she was bad that is.

She look back at the women she was young yes and she had is she had wonder though as she look down at the book for translate on what she was saying. She had puzzling question about that was buzzing around her head about women family. Would her husband approve of this what she was doing.She did not want to get abuse by him too that is."I have a question. It all sounds good. But I wonder would your husband be all right with me there?

She did want to go but she just did not want to get hurt again or abuse again. She did not want to be knock around she knew the women would not do it she just wonder about the unseen husband would he approve of this."Yeah they do need a nice family. I would liked learn more Enlish so won't have to look at the book all the time to see if saying words correctly.

Carey's mother watch the young girl patiently as she looked through her book for the words to reply with. The girl looked puzzed and worried, and Carey's mother wondered what she was thinking about. She smiled wide when she asked if her husband would be okay with her saying with their family. "I'm sure that my husband will not only be okay with you coming, but he will be absolutely overjoyed. He has always wanted a little girl to take care of."

"He is a very kind man, he works hard so he's not home too much, but h tries his best to give us whatever we need. And he will help you too dear." She stood up, still holding onto the girl's hand. "I hope you don't mind people though, we sometimes hold parties. You can always stay up in the room we make up for you though. You and Carey could spend some time together." She looked back over to where Carey was still watching. "Isn't that right, Carey?" The boy looked over too them, a bit worried that all the attention would now go to this girl, but he was a bit happy to be able to help her out. He nodded and his mother looked back to the young girl and smiled.

"We were about to go home now, are you ready to come with us?" She asked her with kind eyes and she gave a gentle squeeze of her hand to reassure her.

Meliae had wonder if it would be problem she was not blood relate to his mother or father. She had been wondering that she hope that was not big problem genetically that is. she was not there all the same she did not mind party or having good time.

She liked party all the same she just worried that her husband would not be thrill about her coming to live with them. That was it she was stranger and she did not know but just wait to know they would find she was okay kid that is if two want daughter so bad.

No that was never intend to take Carey place or for that matter she would be just daughter and he her son. She guess they get loved would be the same too.She just want the same care he had was all. Maybe the women and that was it.Yeah I'll come with you. She watch the boy his son could hold her other hand if he felt that or she hold if he want too.But she guess she knew her husband better then she did that why she figure would be yes.She start to follow the both of them.
