Alcyone ran a comb through her hair to smooth it out and get rid of the small, frizzy curls that always seemed to adorn her hair. They were fixed with a simpel comb through, but she didn't always have the time to do so. Now that her hair was perfectly smooth, she swooped it up into a high ponytail and wrapped a hair tie around it. She smoothed down her shirt, stood up and paced in her bedroom with her hands clasped behind her back. Her thoughts jumbled around in her head and made her feel dizzy as she shook her head dazedly. The war was a pressing matter and she had begun to worry about the safety of her family with her participation in it. She shut her eyes tight and rubbed at her temples. With her eyes opened again, she wandered through her home and to the large backyard.
Alcyone had always loved large gardens where you could get lose and consumed by your own thoughts. She walked along the pasts with a sigh of contentment as her pressing matters left her mind and she thought of happier things, like Jaz and Ella. She sat down on the grass and looked at the tall hedges that lined the gardens, the roses at the edge of the hedges making the gardens more beautiful than they normally would have been. Alcyone heard the sounds of pebbles crunching under feet, but it faded quickly and she presumed it was Ella wandering about. She let her eyes shut as she twirled her hair around her finger and sighed as the wind ruffled the rest of her hair.
