Jamie hurried down to Care of Magical Creatures with a huge smile. She couldn't wait to learn about magical creatures, as the magical world was completely new and fascinating. She wondered what so called 'mythical' creatures were real in this world. Her eyes widened as she saw the form of a horse and she hurried down.

Thoughts of horses brought her to her own, Storm. She missed him quite a lot. Her beautiful stallion. She sighed and looked over at the horse, before she realised it was a unicorn. She hesitated before she walked over to their professor and looked down at her feet shyly.

"Can I p-pet them?" She asked timidly.

" You're... Jamie Wright, Correct?" Sam asked the girl kindly she looked at her student list and smiled Sam had a hard time lately trying to remember names and faces she shook her head and handed the girl some of the unicorns food.

" Do you want to feed her?" Sam asked her kindly Sam looked around for the other girls and she shrugged inwardly she was going to start class soon, Sam sighed and rubbed her forehead as she got a slight headache.

Sam smiled as she saw another student coming her way, Sam smiled at her and Sam looked at the girl, Sam didn't know if she should wait or not but she decided to wait for the other students.

Sam smiled at the girl whom seemed rather quiet which Sam didn't mind Sam was naturally quiet as well, Sam yawned slightly she looked at the girl And sighed Sam didn't know if she should wave the girl over to the unicorn or not Sam shrugged inwardly and smiled kindly at the students.

Sam rubbed her forehead and sighed she decided she was going to go ahead and start class " Good morning Class, today we'll be learning about Unicorns and how they becam one of the most important magical creatures" Sam said with smile " Can anyone tell me why unicorns are so important?" Sam asked the students kindly.

Lesson One - First Years Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lesson One - First Years   Lesson One - First Years EmptyThu Apr 19, 2012 9:28 am

Rubi stumbled and fell down a couple of stairs. She groaned and winced as she tried to stand on her leg. It was okay, but it hurt like Achilles heel. She smirked a bit at her own comparison, and then she started limping down to the lesson, knowing she'd be late now. Damn, it had hurt. She continued down the stone stairs outside in the park, seeing other people down by the lesson. It seemed like it had started. Dammit. She limped a bit faster, but that hurt like hell too. She should probably go to the infirmary afterward to make sure she hadn't broken anything.

When she finally reached them, she conveniently heard professor Hawthorn's question and gave a small smile. "Sorry I'm late. I fell down a few flights of stairs, knocked myself up pretty badly," she said with the same smile.

"And the unicorn, which is beautiful-" she added looking at the creature "-is very important for many reason. It's magic tail hairs can be used as cores in wands because the unicorn in itself is very magical. It is also very fast, so it's almost impossible to catch them to nick out a hair. Also, the horn is one of the main ingredients in the potion 'Antidote for Common Poisons' which speak of its importance in only the name. And that is just some of the many reasons they are important," Rubi said with a smile, having studied unicorns since she could read, as they had always been her favorite fable animal. Almost every story she read involved a unicorn, so when she learned that unicorns were real, she had bought a book on them at Flourish and Blotts.

" Correct, now can anyone tell me how old this beautiful unicorn is just by looking at her" Sam asked she petted the unicorn whom looked up at Sam, Sam hummed lightly and waited for a student to answer.

Meliae was still young and judge by the size and such thing. She was young that what Mathew mother told her that she was young that is she did not know if they would be the same age as horses that is she would give it a try to see what would happened in the horse ages and such things.

I think it might be one year old. She look back at the women and she just hope that she was right about the age and she hope she was doing good.

That is long ago she had used to live on farm with horses and no magical creatures or anything because her father and step mother hate magic. She would have hate for anyone to enter see any magical creature what would happened to the creature she was glad she did not have magical creatures and she listen to the girl a wait her answer to see if she correct or if they had some words. Or would she liked the term yearling that is and still she state the age she thought it would be that is.

Sam looked at the girl and gave her a kind smile, Sam nodded " Yes that is correct Ms. Winters" Sam said nodding the unicorn was getting tired, Sam walked the unicorn to her pen and smiled " Okay, now I want all of you to write some of the facts about a unicorn than hand them to me, please" Sam said giving the girls a smile.

Sam pulled her wand out and made a few benches so her class could sit down she smiled " You can all sit down and work on the paper" Sam said kindly.

She had to wonder if she should start the paper on how unicorn prefer the women touch. That young unicorn don't mind the touch of men. But the older one are not trusting to men that is. That muggle or human are unable to catch to catch unicorn are fleet foot. That some wands are made from some unicorn the core and that is the tail or horn.Unicorn where said to have mystic power and that they could tell when one is liar or from false hood for that matter. If encourage falsehood they would pierce the person through the heart of the liar.

If caught that is the horn is sold for medical reason in aid of helping with help cure illness. The narwhal horn has been sold as that unicorn horn instead. That was it she went what was heard she could not remember all the stories she read on the subject it was fiction she hope that she was right about how she got did that with what was written she did her best to write on the stories. She even include the appearances of the unicorns. This and that with the appearances and such things.

Her boots striking the ground with dull thuds in quick succession Biabin ran hurriedly across the grass towards where the Care of Magical Creatures class was meant to be. She was rather frazzled with the lay out of the school and had gotten lost on her way up from potions. "Hullo!" she called waving the moment she saw a group of students gathered about what looked like a white horse. "Sorry Ah'm late!" she panted as she came nearer. "This place is dÚsachtach (crazy)!" she laughed.

Sam asked the girl kindly Sam didn't want to take any points away she sighed " Okay Ms. Conway, please write a paper on this unicorn and how they affect the magical world" Sam said kindly Sam was getting a slight headache but it was normal for her to get headaches.

" And Ms. Conway when you're done writing the paper, please hand me the paper" Sam said to all of her students she pointed at the bench " You can sit there and write the paper" Sam said with a warm smile.

"Yes'am!" she replied nodding. "It won' 'appen again I swear!" she went on looking up at the teacher earnestly. Biabin froze and looked and the horse more intently, and sure enough there it was a long lovely twisting horn set in it's forehead. "B-but," she began unable to remove he eyes from the incredibly beautiful beast before her. "I dunno a thing 'bout unicorns..." she shrugged. "Other then stories Ah heard from me aunt!" Still looking at the unicorn she shuffled the items in her hand moving parchment to the top of the pile of items that she held so she could write. Her heart was a flutter she couldn't believe her eyes the past few months had been a wonder of a dream, but this magnificent animal was much too much to be real.

Biabin had heard the instructions of her professor but couldn't help but want stay just where she was, unwilling, and unable to move father away from the unicorn. Sitting cross-legged on the ground placing her books on her lap she lay her paper upon them. Glancing up again she grinned as she penned down the tale of a poisoned lake made clean by a unicorn dipping his horn into the water, next she planned on writing of the story about a pure-hearted king wounded while trying to save an enslaved maiden who's life was saved by the healing touch of a unicorn mare.

Jamie nodded as the teacher asked if she was Jamie Wright. "Y-yes, I am." She mumbled as she stared at her feet, before a bright smile lit up her face and she tenderly stroked the side of the unicorn's face. The unicorn's head nuzzled into her hand and she scratched at any itchy spot before moving down to rub its neck and beamed. "You're adorable." She cooed to the unicorn, who snorted in an indignant manner as a way of responding. She pressed her lips together to keep from laughing. She looked up as the teacher offered her some food, and eagerly she cupped her hands. She then held them out flat to the unicorn and giggled as it licked up the food off of her hands and then nudged her for more. "Greedy." She accused.

She moved back and smiled as her twin arrived, a small wave sent her way. She knew the answers to the question, but she stayed silent as her twin and the Ravenclaw answered them. She stared down at her hands and inched closer to Rubi until she was right beside her. She sat down and stared at the page, her lips pursed. She looked up as another Hufflepuff arrived and smiled timidly. She remembered seeing the girl in the dorm, but she hadn't yet talked to her. She looked back down at the paper and began to write down facts about the Unicorn that she'd read in her Care of Magical Creatures textbook.

The Unicorn is a magical creature that is completely pure. It is for this reason that the unicorn holds magic that many do not, pure, un-tarnished by evil magic. Only one who is on the brink of death would dare to slay a unicorn and drink their blood, and this task will save anyone from death, no matter what, but they will live a cursed life for slaying something so good.
A Unicorn has a white-silvery coat with a horn thats colour varies between bronze, gold and silver. A unicorn is not an animal that can be tamed, though it would never harm you it is against M.O.M laws to take in a unicorn for no reason other than personal gain.

Jamie couldn't remember anything else, and being from the muggle world meant she only knew fairytale myths surrounding unicorn's and had no clue what facts were true or false.

PostSubject: Re: Lesson One - First Years   Lesson One - First Years EmptyMon Apr 23, 2012 8:44 am

Rubi smiled at her sister and sat down next to her, taking up her quill and parchment, starting to write what she knew about unicorns. If she was to write everything she knew that she thought to be true, she'd write a full scroll of the parchment, but she figured she'd stick to what she remembered best from the book she had bought at Flourish and Blotts her first day in Diagon Alley with Jamie. This is what she wrote:

Unicorns are a very magical horsetype that embodies the beautiful, yet dreadful, magic of life. Every single atom in a unicorn is magical, the horn often used in potions to make them stronger, an example being Antidotes to Common Poisons. The tailhair is frequently used in wands to enhance its magic. The blood of a unicorn is sacred, and if you drink it, you will live forever, if you keep drinking it. However, if you do this, you also end up with a cursed life, as you have killed one of the most sacred species in the world.

The adults of the unicorns are very jumpy towards men, but trusts females much easier. The foals, however, are more trusting and lets guys pat them as long as one doesn't make a sharp movement. However the latter counts for both males and females.

That was about everything Rubi knew about unicorns that she could remember at that moment. She sighed and rolled the parchment, giving it to the professor.

"Here you go, professor," she said with a smile.

Meliae list that it was also magical creature and such things. That she did myth aspect of what muggle thought where animal such as the rhino they thought that might been unicorn and what she read. They hunt those for medical reason the unicorn and she also list the part that they thought a deer might been unicorn because it had white coat. But the fact that unicorn that magical beast and many muggle think that it only exist in myth along with centaurs.

Then she continue to write a bit more and then she went on to write that they very fast and when they run they are fleet foot. That she also think they stay with one mate for there entire life unlike that of regular horses that live in herds with just female in the wild. Then she got up slowly and hand the paper in there was even some writing on that. She lay it down on the paper and she listen to the teacher no homework okay she head out.
