Jay shrugged off her cardigan as she sat down at a small, round table. It was warm inside the tea shop, but very comfortable and cozy. The wooden table was covered in an enchanted table cloth with little pictures of pixies dancing over it. It was sickeningly cute.

As Jaycie waited for Alcyone to arrive, she took out her notebook - the one full of her songs. She doodled a bit on the one that had been occupying her mind recently, and for the first time she didn't want anyone but herself to see this one. Jay scribbled out a word here and there, replacing it with something better, more meaningful.

She could smell the tea around her and Jay mentally urged Alcy to hurry up so they could drink some. She loved tea, a lot.

Alcyone smiled at her reflection as she slid into her favourite white fur coat with beautiful trimmings and fluffiness inside that made it extra warm. With her knee-length black boots over her skinny jeans with her black, tight-fitting shirt Alcyone felt ready to go outside. She walked over to the door and stepped out into the lounge, moving through the swiftly with warm smiles at the teachers before she was outside in the cool air.

She shivered and tucked her hands into her pockets with her head bowed as she trudged along through the snow. The path to Hogsmeade seemed extra long that day, but eventually she arrived. She moved through the vacant streets save for a few rushing into a store and arrived at the cozy Madam Puddifoot's.

She sighed at the warmth and hurried over to Jaycie. She took off her jacket, hung it on the back of the chair and then pounced on Jaycie in a bear hug. "Jay!" She cried happily as she squeezed the girl.

Jaycie stood up and was immediately enveloped in a giant bear hug by the one and only, Alcyone. She grinned and hugged her back tightly. "Alcy!" she cried. "I've missed you so much, I'm not even kidding." Jay pulled back from the hug to examine Alcyone's face, then grinned and pulled her into another hug. "You look fantastic."

Jay gestured to the two-seater table, inviting her friend to take a seat across from her. She grinned at her. "First off, let's get some tea," Jay announced, smiling. "Then we can talk about, well, everything." She winked and giggled a bit.

Jaycie waved over the waitress and ordered a pot of tea and a plate of scones and cake. That would do them for about an hour or so. But she knew they'd have to order more after then because they could talk through wet cement.

Alcyone was practically bouncing on the spot as she clutched Jaycie tightly, her body relaxing against Jaycie's slightly as her grip slackened. She didn't say anything as Jay voiced that she'd missed her, but merely clutched her tighter to respond - for her voice had failed her. Alcyone was jolted back, then into another hug and she laughed, but it quickly turned into a sob. "I missed you so much, Jay."

Alcyone sat down on her chair but brought it over next to Jay and sobbed whilst her arms wrapped around her again. "Don't you dare leave me that long ever again!" She wiped at her tears and then smiled. She nodded and then squeaked as she said they could talk about everything. What else had they ever done, she asked herself with a grin.

Alcyone settled herself back in the chair and wiped at the tear stains on her cheeks. "I've heard a lot of your songs, they're really good." Alcyone smirked as she held back a bit of information about how she knew them - through Cae, her number one fan, of course.

Jaycie giggled a little as her best friend started crying. "Aww, sweetheart," she said, leaning forward and wiping a tear off Alcy's cheek. "Don't cry, you'll start me too!"

"Trust me, I doubt I could ever stay away from you guys that long! It was like the worst form of torture," Jay said honestly. She didn't want to be away from her home that long ever again. She folded her fingers into Alcy's and smiled, swinging their hands like they used to at Hogwarts. It was lovely to be back.

Jay's cheeks reddened with a blush. "Really think so?" she said. She was getting plenty of compliments on her music. "You wanna know a secret?" Jay grinned. She was proud of herself for this.

Alcyone reached over and hit Jay lightly on the arm as she giggled at her hysteria. "Don't laugh at me!" She protested. A smile lit up her face as Jay reached over. "Sorry darl."

Alcyone was intensely glad that Jay didn't find the time spent apart to be the most fun either. She laced her fingers through Jay's and giggled at the familiar movement of swinging their hands. "Never leave me that long again, I missed you so much. You're my best friend!" Alcyone pouted.

"Of course I do! You've always been amazing, Jay!" She exclaimed earnestly. She tilted her head as she was asked if she wanted to know a secret and nodded eagerly. "Spill!" She grinned.
