Casey was glad that school was about to start because he had been bored and wanted something to do to keep his busy. He was excited when he got the job at Durmstrang. He was even more thrilled to learn that his brother Collin was going to be teaching there too, he didn't get to see his brother very much. He wished he would stop flirting long enough to meet the right woman and settle down and quit playing the field.

He had spent the last couple of nights working over his lesson plans, he figured he could teach the defensive spells and leave it up to the combat and dueling professor to teach them to use them. He wrote out a syllabus and walked around and place it on everyone's desk.

Week 1- Obscuro
Week 2- Protego
Week 3- Flippendo
Week 4- Reducto

Now all he had to do was wait for students to arrive.

Nara sauntered into class, thoroughly not interested anymore in the hype of school. Too many people had been sidling up to her and she was sick of their slimy little hands trying to just touch her so they could take some claim in themselves.

She plonked herself at a random desk and began reading the syllabus. It sounded quite interesting, actually, and suddenly she was engrossed in thought about it.

Tricia growled at a student who ran over to her, hands out-stretched. It was disgusting how they touched her hair, her arm, even her leg just so they could boast to their friends. She cursed her mother for being such a goddamn successful singer. Her twin took their attention far better than she did, but even Nara was beginning to get frustrated, Tricia could see. They were about to bowl her over when she side-stepped them and they crashed into the wall. She held their head against the wall and menacingly leant towards them. "Get a life you stupid piece of dirt, don't make me hurt you." She growled and watched as the student scampered off.

She stormed along to her defence class, muttering that those students should thank their lucky stars she didn't punch them all in the face. She dumped her bag down beside Nara and with a huff she sat herself down and glared at the table.

Alexandre walked into the classroom, sitting down at a desk near the front, and looked at the lehrer and the two other girls sitting in the room. As far as he had understood, they were twins or something. He pulled up his books and looked at the syllabus in front of him. He knew most of the spells, not practically, but theoretically. Boringly enough, his mother had taught him a lot of spells, not wanting him to bring shame on the name 'Grindelwald'. In Alex' opinion, Gellert Grindelwald had done that plenty for himself.

Sabrina walked into the classroom, seeing only a few others there, all of which she had seen in History. She walked over to a vacant desk and sat down, pulling up her books. Her eyes crossed over the two black-heads and realized they had to be related somehow, and probably twins as they were the same age. They were both in her dorm, it seemed.

She looked at the boy there, too. But he wasn't in her dorm. She hadn't seen him before. She then turned her attention to the lehrer, and looked at the syllabus as she waited for the class to start.

Casey noticed that most of the students from his list were there so he decided that he would began the class.

"Can anyone tell me what they know about the Obscuro spell?" Casey thought even with the way the spell sounded it should be quite an easy spell for a first to to figure out without even looking.

Nara smiled softly and shook her head when Trish walked in and sat beside her with a huff, breaking Nara out of her thoughts. Tricia must've run into some adoring celebrity-watchers because she certainly did look a bit ruffled. Not to mention frustrated.

Nara glanced up as a not-so-bad-looking Tower Dormer came into the room, followed by one of her own housemates. She bit her lip, realising that the little spark of recognition in people's eyes she'd been seeing lately was not present in these two. Discreetly, Nara nudged her sister and whispered, "Trish... I don't think they know us..."

The professor started the class and immediately Nara perked up. She racked her brains. Obscuro... sounds really familiar...

Tentatively, she raised her hand. "Professor, is it a spell to obscure something, like hide it or make it disfigured so that is unrecognisable?" She was sure that's where 'obscure' would come into the picture.

Alexandre rose his hand as well. "Isn't it the spell that causes a kind of black blindfold, making your opponent unable to see?" he asked, very sure that it was the spell. His mother had used it on him on several occasions before to prevent him from seeing things he ought not to see.

Casey smiled at the students, both of them came up with correct answers on both.

"Yes, 10 points each." Casey said as he leaned forward in his desk.He was glad to see that he was going to have a couple of bright students in his class. It was exciting, when he agreed to teach he thought it might be boring.

"Now can you tell me why this is a good defense spell?"

Tricia beamed at Nara as she won their house 10 points and looked back over to the lehrer as he asked another question. She paused, thinking her response over in her head for a moment before she raised her own hand to answer the question.

"Wouldn't it be useful to blind them momentarily so that you can attack them without them being able to retaliate as they cannot see?"

Casey was glad he had some very bright students and he could tell they would learn a lot over the next 7 years.

"Very good to you too Ms. Black, 10 points"

Casey looked at the time and realized that class was about up, and since they had done so well no assignment tonight,

"Class dismissed"
