Kate walked into the shop with the intention of finding some ingreatants that were only sold here. She sighed as she looked at the many bottles and and jars. She didn't see what she needed and was very unhappy about it. She sighed and walked up the counter.

She never reached as the door opened she turned around and looked at the person who came in. She had felt the magic around him. He had talent that matched hers. Her eyes turned black as the demon sensing an equal emerged. She knew where his talent lay, in weapons. She loved hers. The nearly unbeatable knife.

As soon as Lars walked in, he felt a power that was, surprisingly, equal to his own. At least in sheer power, personally he doubted whether he would meet anybody who had his intellect. But, he had to admit, that some people had caught him by surprise, even though their attacks were simpler. Sometimes simple strategy was more effective than an elaborate plan.

Looking for the source of the power, he noticed it. She was tall, maybe five foot nine inches or so, blonde, and had blue eyes. She was beautiful, but he knew not to be distracted by her looks. Women were deadly. "Hello, I believe you are much tougher than you look. Would you like to have a chat with me. What's your name, by the way? Mine is Lars." He offered his hand to the stranger.

Kate looked at his hand and smiled shaking her head. She was wondering why he would approach her. Could he sense the magic around her or something within her. She didn't say anything just wondering what he was doing here. She looked at him oddly when he offered his hand. She with a bit of hesitation took it.

"Kate." She said simply not giving her last name. "I'd love to chat" She said smiling at him slightly though she was still not sure about the unknown man.

At first the woman just looked at his hand, what an odd reaction. For some reason this woman was trying to decide whether or not to shake his hand, was she scared. Maybe she just wasn't used to being approached by men. Finally, she took it, and he smiled.

"Well, Kate, I think you and I may want to discuss a...business proposition. We have not met previously, but I have heard wonderful things about you. As you may or may not know, I manufacture, collect, and sell various weaponry. I also have...other skills that may be of use to somebody in your line of work. I would like to begin making a name for myself, and I could use your help." Lars told the woman. He'd heard she was possibly the best killer around. Also heard tales about how purely evil she was; it inspired him.

Kate raised her eyebrows. She doubted that. She had everything she needed and more. She wondered what he had to offer her. "Well what can you give me?' She asked him with a raised eyebrow.

"What have you heard?' She couldn't help but ask him.

The woman just raised her eyebrows at him, not believing he could be of any use to her surely. He was the same way most of the time, but he'd heard a couple interesting things. "For one, I can kill anybody you wish. No fee for the first kill if you decide to help me start making a name for myself. Also, there are various rare weapons I could give you. Weapons so valuable that men have spent their entire lives trying to collect. Some with curses, others just famous. There are also some of my own weapons that I could give you, but those are much more deadly than your standard weapon. Because of that, I am the only one who knows about them, and what precisely they can do. My weapons can give you the element of surprise in a battle. All of it, or some of it you could have if you just help me." Lars told her, trying to offer her power in return for fame.

"Well, to begin with, I've heard that you are the most ruthless killer around. Not only that, but the most skilled. That is a gift that can't be learned, killing without being noticed. Not all are able to do that. Also, I've heard that you are what some consider "pure evil"." he told her, putting air quotes around it. "I've always thought I was the only person who was that bad. Plus, I heard that you could have killed a Hogwarts teacher in the last battle if you had chosen to. Which is an impressive feat, Kate."

Kate looked at him with slight interest. She had all the weapons she needed but having someone who was good at dealing with them would be good for her. "I'll considered it." She said taking in his offer.

"well you've heard right, but I hate to say that I do have someone I can't seem to beat." She said shaking her head. She didn't know why. That woman was always getting the best of her. "I can kill who I want." She said simply. "You included." She added a small shadow of black going in her eyes at the idea.

"That's all I ask." Lars told her, considering her. Kate definitely appeared to be the real deal. He had never met somebody with her power before, as soon as he had walked in he could feel it.

Lars considered what she had told him, he believed that she could kill most anybody. Being able to kill him however, that was a separate issue. "Somebody that you can't beat, interesting. Who is it? I could help you if you want to, but I understand if it is a fight you want to do yourself." It was surprising to him that there was somebody she hadn't been able to beat. "I believe you can kill most people Kate, but I'm not sure you could kill me. Perhaps you could, I don't know though." He smiled a bit at her, showing he wasn't afraid. Oddly, there appeared to be a black shadow in her eyes, that was interesting.
