More Information

Tyyne mother married young, her father married old and then the odd couple didn’t have their first child until thirteen years into their marriage making her father forty and her mother thirty-two. This would set the oddities that would follow the girl’s life, for after spending her childhood playing in turnip fields she received a letter inviting her to a school to learn magic.

She soon became friends with another Finnish child, a boy named Reima who almost immediately dubbed her ‘Rakkaus’ Finnish for love, her heart always gives a thrill when he calls her this. She always saw him as her greatest, dearest friend, she even came to love him in her final two years, but the shy boy never made his move and disappointed Tyyne settled into the idea of a forever friend instead. At twenty-one she had spent a few years helping her family at home after graduation but was itching to start her own life and went to take her teaching qualifications exam. Oh her way in she met a handsome Hungarian man named Bence.

The two quickly began a relationship, Tyyne falling quickly and madly in love with him. After receiving her teaching degree she moved in with him in his Hungarian home away from her family and friends, they quickly became engaged. The first time he struck her he apologized immediately and begged for forgiveness, and before she could really think over what had happened she found that she had.

The relationship quickly spiraled down wards as the violence escalated, but he always seemed so sincere in his apologies and would do large romantic acts, such as dinner in the middle of a glowing wood complete with candles and Merlot! Tyyne attributed his rage filled outbursts to his stressful work environment and the war, because after all, he truly loved her.

Tyyne has kept in touch with Reima and values his friendship greatly.


Family

Father: Arvo Ylönen, at sixty-two is a fisherman by trade he also tends to his neighbor’s fields because his back in bad, and there isn’t as much kindness in the world as there used to be and that’s just what neighbors do! He has a long shaggy beard that is mostly gray and white; hanging down his thin chest, his face is well lined with age and has two twinkling blue eyes shining warm and friendly light to the world.

Mother: Lempi Ylönen (nee: Ahde), at fifty-four is a contrast to her husband’s long and willowed form. She is in fact stout and plump with brown eyes, and short brown hair with a shock of white at the brow kept curled to her chin. She is a home maker, wife and mother and loves everything that comes with these things. Cooking, baking and cleaning are her greatest joys, and her dishes always seem to find their way into the homes of everyone in their small village.


Siblings:

Eero Ylönen, is the eldest of her brothers at nineteen. He has blue eyes and short curly blond locks reminiscent of his father’s hair color in his youth, and his mother’s wide face. He is a well off farmer married to a comely young woman expecting their second child. Their first is a two year old girl named after her maternal grandmother who passed from cancer, Janika.

Maunu Ylönen, is the second eldest brother at fifteen. He has copper hair kept shortly cropped and sharp hazel eyes. He has the same friendly demeanor that seems to flow through the Ylönen family. He however has followed another path, taking an apprenticeship with the head banker in their village he hopes to be a well off businessman someday, rather than preforming manual labor. He is currently courting the neighbor’s daughter.

Niko Ylönen, is the third of the four boys and is twelve years old. He has his mother’s warm brown hair, eyes, and thicker build. He is a rambunctious lad who spends much of his free time swinging from trees and playing in mud. He was greatly disappointed last year when he did not receive a letter asking him to attend Durmstrang like his big sister, but has since gotten over it. He loves to play roughly with boys his age, frighten the animals that live on the surrounding farms, and pester girls. He hopes to one day be a famous writer, as he loves to also write short stories, in class unfortunately.

Teuvo Ylönen, is probably the last of the Ylönen children. At four years old he was quite the surprise, his parents having thought themselves unable to have any further children. He is a lively vivacious carrot top with green flecked blue eyes, and round rosy cheeks. His favorite things to do are pulling the cat’s tail, chasing the dog, and playing blocks with his niece Janika.

Fiancée: Bence Vigné, is twenty-eight years old, a pure blood, and an adept Auror who chose the sword during the sorting ceremony at Durmstrang. He met Tyyne on his way out of the German Ministry of Magic, while she was on her way in to test for teaching qualifications. He chatted her up and they went to a café afterwards. It was a week later before she received her first owl to go to dinner with him, and before she knew they were dating, and in no time at all engaged. His anger came out shortly after their engagement when he first struck her, he quickly apologized and she forgave him. This would set the tone for their quickly downward spiraling relationship in which Tyype is drowning without be aware of it.

Childhood Sweet Heart: Reima Oikarinen, is twenty-three years old, a half blood raised by his widower Muggle father and a gifted healer. He met Tyyne of their way to Durmstrang, they were both unsure of themselves at quite afraid. Each being the only other Fin they knew they quickly latched onto one another for comfort and security as they entered this strange new world and had to learn an entirely new language. He, as with Tyyne chose the book. Their friendship soon blossomed over their years together, but never grew more than just a friendship. Reima has always been madly in love with Tyyne and hates himself for letting her pass him by. He knows that there is something wrong with her relationship to Bence but not the extent, if he did however he would most likely kill him.
