Sabrina walked through the high grass of the Valley. She was wearing one of her many dresses that she made herself. The dresses she made always looked like they were from old times, reaching down to her feet to keep her warm. The years alone in the wilderness had made her very knowledgeable to temperature and how to keep warm. She had easily stolen food and the like from muggle stores. And she had managed that because she had stolen from a wizarding library, a book of charms. Using the book, she managed to build a small place in the middle of nowhere. This was where she was headed.

But then she stopped and lay down on the grass. It was so wonderful to just sit in the calm peace of the nature. Living in the nature was wonderful. She sighed softly, and then a bird started chirping. She smiled; she knew that tone. That would be Crystal. She sat up and stretched out her arm, the bird immediately landing on it. But then it flew off again, and Sabrina frowned. She knew why; she'd just heard a twig breaking. She lay down, making sure she blended in with the nature as she scouted the area, finding out what was there.

Roxie tramped carelessly through the undergrowth of the Valley. She found she couldn't care less about the noise she made; Roxie had learnt the hard way that it scared off animals. She never was a huge fan of them.

Her wand was held out in front of her, a large safari-looking hat clamped on her head (it happened to be decorated with nets and fake butterflies) and a bulging parchment envelope clutched in the other, Roxie tracked down the eleven year old she was trying to find. Every owl she'd sent out had come back, the letter still intact, so therefore she had taken it upon herself that the child was not findable at an address by owl post. That meant she would have to track her down and give it to her personally.

Which was what she was doing now.

Roxie rounded a corner, still using her wand as a guide, and stepped on a particularly loud stick that sounded like thunder as it cracked, even to Roxie. She froze mid-step, shrugged, rolled her eyes and kept walking, until she stumbled over something in the clearing of knee-high grass.

Sabrina grunted in pain as a human stumbled over her camouflaged body. She shot up and pointed her hand threateningly at the woman. This would of course seem like a weird thing to do to other people, but to Sabrina, it was second nature to ready her arm as if it was a wand. She pointed her index finger at the woman, as that finger was the one which shot most defensive spells.

"Who are you?" she asked softly, not wanting to make the woman get on the offensive.

Besides, despite her family's cruelty, her life in nature had turned her into someone who cared deeply for living things, and cherished them. Humans were no different, except those who wanted to obliterate the woods. She couldn't accept that.

Roxie straightened up with a huff. She didn't like tripping. Who on earth would lie in the grass? That was stupid! Roxie glanced down and saw exactly what she'd tripped over.

The 'what' that she'd tripped over was actually a 'who', and the who was point a finger at her. Roxie's eyebrow rose and she couldn't help but snort a laugh. This was obviously the kid she was looking for.

Grinning, Roxie plonked herself down by the little girl. "I'm Roxie Krum, and you must be Sabrina Eberstark. I have a letter for you, kiddo."

Sabrina looked at the woman with curious eyes and then lowered her arm as the woman sat down next to her, introducing herself as Roxie Krum.

"I am," Sabrina said, surprised that the woman would know her name

She studied her for a moment or so, wondering who she was. She was very beautiful, that was clear, but who was she? What did she do? And how on earth did she know her name when she'd been living off the face of the earth for her entire life?

"What kind of letter?" she asked curiously.

Roxie rolled her eyes as Sabrina confirmed her name. "Of course you are. Now on to more important business..." Roxie shoved her wand back it's holster and held the letter in front of her, offering it out. "It's a letter I believe you'll quite like."

"C'mon, read it!" She encouraged, a hint of excitement dripping into her voice as she shoved it into the girl's hand.

Sabrina didn't understand the woman, but something told her that Roxie knew exactly who she was. She bit her bottom lip and then shrugged, taking the letter from the woman with a soft smile.

"Thank you," she said, and opened the letter.

She read through it quickly. And read it again. And again. Durmstrang Institute for Magic? A smile spread on Sabrina's lips. This would be with other people. People she could communicate with without having to lie still for several days so they would get accustomed to her. This would be people she could walk straight up to and introduce herself to.

"I accept," she said with a big smile.

She felt extremely happy. She loved the forest, she truly did, but she would really like to be around her own kind as well. She was very sure the animals she had befriended would understand. Besides, she'd visit them! But then a sinking thought came to her.

"Where do I go from here, though? I don't have any money. I don't have anything but the things I make myself," she said lowly, her happiness ebbing away, her smile with it.

Roxie returned the warm smile Sabrina gave her, and watched eagerly as she read through the letter. Not once, not twice, three times! Roxie grinned as the girl's face lit up with delight, she was beginning to comprehend the extent of the letter.

"Wonderful," Roxie said, clapping her hands and scrambling to her feet. "We'd love to have you." Turning around, she surveyed the meadow they were in, and fixed up her hat, which had fallen lopsidedly.

When she turned back, though, she frowned at the desolate expression on her new student's face. Roxie listened to Sabrina's trouble, and then grinned. "But you see, kid, that's already under wraps. Stand up, and come with me."

Roxie held out her hand, the one not already holding her drawn-once-more wand.

Sabrina looked at the woman with soft eyes. Would she be allowed to go to a school she couldn't even pay for? Well, that'd be pretty cool, but it was slightly... Weird. She shrugged. Maybe people weren't as obsessed with money as they had been back when she still had a family.

Sabrina rose gingerly and looked at the outstretched hand for a second, before reaching out and taking it carefully.

The second Sabrina's hand was in Roxie's, there was a whooshing sound and they had disapparated. The next second, they were standing in an empty side-alley, just off the bustling Main Street of Germany's finest Wizarding central.

Sabrina felt herself being pushed through a thick rubber thread of some kind, not being able to breathe, but then it stopped and she looked around with big eyes.
