Holbry didn't know quite what to think about this.

She hadn't seen her cousin since Hogwarts, mostly because of the fact Holbry didn't want to deal with her family at all. She was prolonging the inevitable really. Meeting her family meant dealing with her Pureblood duties. Holbry was perfectly okay with being a Pureblood- she was proud of it. But, there were somethings that came with the blood status that were incredibly inconvenient.

Arranged marriages being the biggest thing on her mind.

Walking over to the bar, Holbry smiled flirtatious at the bartender. Ordering a white Russian, Holbry looked over at the crowds of people. She didn't know if Violet was close to her parents, but Holbry hoped that she wasn't. She need the girl ratting out to Holbry's parents as to where she was located.

Spotting the familiar girl making her way through the hoards of wizards and witches, Holbry waited for Violet to reach her. Part of her was dreading this conversation, the other part of her was the part that wouldn't admit she had missed her fellow Slytherin cousin.

Violet had to admit it was strange to hear from Holbry.

It was probably the fact that they hadn't seen each other since their Hogwarts days, which were long in the past. The Dantes had a wonderful way to treat their family - by either brututally killing each other or never admiting to the relations in the first place. Holbry and Violets relationship had been that up until that point.

Violet walked in the club, her dress was revealing, but compared to what she wore normally, it was modest. The dress was black and she opted for the matching heels. There were a large number of people at the club that night, ad Violet found herself annoyed, her clacking heels getting drowned in the noise of the music and the drunken conversations floating about.

Seeing Holbry sitting alone at the bar, her smirk softened, turning into a small grin. Walking over to her, she sat down with a sigh. She knew she needed any alchohol she could ger her hands on, so she swiped the drink of the person sitting next to her, which just ended up being beer on tap. Grimacing, Violet set it down.

No words were exchanged between the two cousins, which Holbry found relieving. What was there to say? Hey? How have you been the last few years? Sorry I've dropped off the face of the planet. Right. Well, for one, Holbry wasn't apologetic about her hiatus from the world. It had been a nice break. Constantly throughout her Hogwarts years, she had been struggling with her monthly furry problem and juggling Prefect duties. Later one, her Head Girl duties. Getting away from her family and the people she knew well was a nice change of pace.

Taking a sip of her white Russian, Holbry took a seat in one the two empty seats. Angling her body toward Violet, the blonde let a small smirk make way onto her painted red lips. This conversation would be interesting. More interesting than Holbry wanted it to be.

"Hello," the Irish girl drawled, eyebrow arched. "It's nice to finally see you."

Violet enjoyed the silence of the two, because in all honestly, Violet hated the point of smalll talk. Like she hated mot of the human race, small talk was awkward and unnecessary. When the bartender walked past, she quickly ordered a martini, something light but enough to get her tipsy. Holbry looked well, but that was considering how much she was doing in Hogwarts. Violet scated by in school with her looks and the brains she had, while doing nothing productive to help the school.

Not murdering the morons counted though, right?

Violets drink came and she quickly took a drink, watching Holbry face her. It was time to face the music, and as much as Violet hated doing so, or even admitting, it was partially her fault. Leaning back slightly in her chair, she angled her body just slightly, to show that she would be apart of whatever would happen.

"Indeed." Violets tone wasn't sharp, but it wasn't inviting either.

The two really more alike than Holbry would've ever wanted to admit.

She supposed it was the fact that they were cousins or maybe they just had the same views on life. Whatever it was, Holbry found comfort in it. Most people enjoyed incessant small talk or polite words exchanged. It was like every Pureblood function the girls had been forced to go to as children. Holbry could remember the times with Violet and her were like twins almost. They went everywhere together, gossiped liked best friends, fought like sisters, made up like family should. It had been their routine. Now, it was as if they were strangers.

Holbry sipped her drink in the comfortable silence between the two. The sounds from the drunks around them was enough to keep it entertaining. The full moon was approaching, which caused a spasm of pain to run down her spine. She used react strongly to those random acts of pain. But, now, it barely fazed the girl.

"I assume my aunt and uncle are doing well?" Holbry took another sip from her drink.

Violet watched Holbry lost in her thoughts out of the corner of her eye, wondering what on earth was so intriguing.

For one, the club wasn't exciting. It was cramped, and too bright for Violets taste, liking the darker bars that were near her house. But she allowed her mind to go freely, remembering things from her childhood, Holbry always by her side. Not only did she too hate the things they were both forced to go to, they were practically the same person.

Which of course, caused a lot of fighting. It only made sense this was the first time in a while they had gotten together.

Violets eyes gazed to the dance floor, finding the girls slutty and obnoxious. Sipping her drink, she had to feel bad for the men they were dancing with. Finally staring at Holbry with her whole body angled to her, she watched as she watched her- Both the girls alert, but neither wanting to make the first move of conversation.

"I can assume the same thing. I have no idea." That was the best answer for it.
