Alec smiled and felt his whole body relax at her comment. He knew that women liked titles and things like that to feel secure, and while he was committed her really despised titles. But he was determined to try commitment at least with her.

It had been a while since he was really ready to try and commit. And while it frightened him beyond anything it felt right. He kissed her softly once more reminding himself how this was going to pay off.

"That is very much appreciated" he murmured against her cheek.

Victoria could feel Alec relax next to her and felt the pull of sleep at her eyes. Because of the nightmares, she hadn't had a decent nights sleep in too long. Curling into his side, she smiled into his kiss. "Anytime."

She leaned her head on his chest, letting the lull of his heartbeat strengthen her own. She snaked her arm around his waist and curled let out a tired sigh. "Maybe I should use you as a pillow more often. Though you're not exactly soft." She accompanied the last comment with a small poke in the ribs.

Yawning, she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep, surrounded by his smell.
