Jaycie darted into the warm air of the Three Broomsticks. She'd just been up visiting Alcyone and was on her way home when she was attacked by Paparazzi. She sighed, grateful for the not-rush-hour isolation of the familiar pub. Jay rubbed her nose, it was cold and the first flakes of snow were starting to fall outside.

Taking off her gloves she made her way to the bar and sat down. "Um, can I have a hot chocolate please?" she asked the bartender, not realising who it happened to be. She was so tired and just wanted to go home. After all, she'd gotten back from her inter-state tour just recently, and although Sunrise had been a great success, and so much fun to do, Jay was absolutely buggered.

There was no reason Caelum worked at The Three Broomsticks other than to flirt with women and have people squeal at the sight of him. Famous among the British, he often had girls walk up to him and ask for his autograph, sometimes they flashed. Caelum grinned as he thought about that, always made his day wonderful when a girl did that. With a chuckle, he shook his head and hummed as he scrubbed at the dishes. There was also no point to scrubbing the dishes, as he could just wave his wand but Caelum appreciated doing things the muggle way. It was more fun that way. He ran a hand through his hair, ruffling it casually as he flicked the towel over his shoulder.

His thoughts once more drifted to Jaycie - as they always did. No matter how many attractive girls offered themselves to him, flirted with him and the likes, he couldn't bring himself to like any of them. He'd had a few girlfriends, but after he'd realised that they didn't really like him and he didn't really like them, he'd dropped them. He always went for the blonde's, but none of them were the perfect shade of brown as Jaycie's, the brown eyes that he'd fallen in love with since he first saw her that day at the park. Caelum walked out of the kitchen as he heard another customer enter the bar, and when he saw who it was he blinked in surprise. Dazedly, he made her hot chocolate and handed it to her. "Jaycie? Jaycie Simple?" He choked out.

As Jaycie waited for her drink, she realised her thoughts kept drifting to the Malfoy family. She'd caught up with her adoptive sister Alcy, but not to the extent she'd wanted to, seeing as her teaching duties had called her away. Jay hummed to herself and drew patterns on the bench, thinking that she would have to catch up with Caelum and the rest of Alcyone's new family sooner or later. That would be nice. Her dreams had been haunted by a pair of tender stormy, swirling brown-grey eyes and Jay knew that she was missing him more than she should.

Jaycie absent-mindedly took her drink from the bartender. She was just taking a sip when he spluttered out her name, and she looked up. Jay's eyes widened. "Cae?" She blurted, more in shock than anything. She couldn't help the grin that spread lopsidedly over her face at the sight of him. Her breath hitched in her throat as she finally looked into the stormy brown-grey haunts of her dreams. Jay laughed a little, she couldn't believe it! What an odd place to run into him, especially since he was working here?! What a chance.

Caelum felt his eyes drawn to her own and he let out a sigh of relief. The warm brown enveloped him, made him feel as if everything was perfect. The towel slid from his shoulder, and within seconds his apron was off. He walked around the bar, opened it and then ran at her. It was mere seconds before she was in h is arms, his muscles flexing as he clutched her close. He loosened his grip so as not to squeeze her but still held tight, tears in his eyes. Her strawberry scent drifted in the air and made him breathe in heavily. She was like heaven, his own heaven. He pulled back and pressed a kiss to her cheek as he grinned at her. As usual, she was breath-takingly beautiful. He never expected anything different.

He knew of her fame, how could he not? Everybody knew Jaycie Simple, which was why a feeling of jealousy curled in his stomach when he saw a couple of guys eyeing her up. His boss emerged from the kitchens and frowned at him, questioning why he wasn't working. Caelum raised an eyebrow at his boss, who rolled their eyes and vanished back in the kitchen once more. "Jay! Geese, I haven't seen you in years!" He exclaimed.

Jaycie grinned from ear to ear as Caelum swiftly dissed his work gear and flew at her, sweeping her up into his arms. She giggled and felt he was holding her tightly - but she didn't want him to let her go and when he loosened his hold so as not to crush her a wave of disappointment coursed through her body. Jaycie knew it must have flickered over her face for a second but then plastered the smile back over her features. She couldn't NOT be happy - not when she was in his arms. Caelum's strong grip surrounding her made Jaycie's heart flutter and a warmth spread through her body that told her she was so very, very safe.

The colour rose softly to Jay's cheeks as Cae pulled back and landed a sweet kiss on her cheek, and her eyes flickered down to the floor before back up to meet his captivating gaze. She took the chance he gave her when his attention was elsewhere around the room to study his face. There were no bags, but he'd somewhat grown more handsome and becoming since the last time she'd seen him. Caelum was half an inch taller than he was a few years ago, and he really had bulked out a bit. His hair was slightly longer and Jaycie had to restrain herself from the impulsive desire to run her fingers through it. She smiled softly, trying to remember the kid she'd met at the park all those years ago. He certainly had grown up.

A grin crossed Jaycie's features again and she ignored the stares they were receiving from the few customers still in the homey pub. Instead she devoted all her attention to the man standing before her. "I know, it's been, well, forever!" Jay couldn't help herself, he was the one person she'd missed the most. "You know, I kept forgetting to write daily. Sorry about that. I've never been good at that sort of stuff," she explained, before realising her hands were still resting on Caelum's muscular arms. She swallowed unnoticeably, wondering if he minded. His arms were really lovely and warm and it would be a shame to let go of them.

"Gah, I've missed you!" Jaycie exclaimed, unable to hold back any longer and throwing her arms around him once more.

As Caelum's arms loosened around her, a sense of loss flooded him. Sure, he was still holding her but having her that close to him made him feel content, protective and as if the world revolved around her. In this moment, there was nothing else but the two of them. It was as if everyone else became un-important and faded into the background. He saw the look of disappointment on her face before the bright smile was back on her features, lighting them up brighter than the sun. She practically glowed as she smiled, and he knew it was the prettiest smile in the world. No other smile could ever compete, ever make his heart race as fast as it did when she smiled.

Caelum was reluctant to look away from her, but he managed to pull his gaze to glare at a young, teenage boy eyeing Jaycie. He felt his blood boil and his face tinge a light colour, contrasting with his pale skin, as he glared at the boy. The boy merely stared at him back with indifference before looking at Jaycie once more, his mouth hanging open. Caelum could remember admiring Jaycie back when he was that young, but he didn't find it becoming in other people. After all, to him, Jaycie wasn't anyone's to stare at. It was disgusting, and it made him angry. He felt jealousy curl within him at the thought of anyone else touching Jaycie. He took a deep, calming breath and looked back to the blonde beauty in his arms.

He wondered if she'd heard his own original song 'Brown Eyed Angel'. He wondered if anyone had figured out the double meaning behind that song, and he had a feeling that Alcyone knew. Though, he wouldn't've been surprised if she knew that he'd been crushing on Jaycie all of those years. She noticed things, his big sister, that not many others did. If Jaycie'd figured that out, would she feel the same? Or was there relationship merely platonic to her? He let his arms drop to his sides as he stepped back and grinned at her, reaching a hand up to cup the back of his neck.

It seemed she couldn't contain her spirit and she was once more glued to him, his arms wrapping around her waist in turn as he held her close again before letting her go. "I've missed you so much too! I heard you've taken a break from all your tours for a couple of years, is that true or just a rumor?" He motioned to the barstools beside him and took a seat.

Jaycie could feel her heart thudding in her chest when Caelum returned her hug. She was suddenly incredibly sensitive to his solid arms wrapping around her waist and Jay felt the colour rise to her cheeks again, just a bit. Jay pulled back and smiled up at him, the butterflies rampaging in her tummy. She tried hard to not let it show anywhere but in her eyes.

Jaycie grinned when he said he'd missed her too. "Yeah, I'm thinking a little time back at home will do me some good. I've been all over the world and it's time for a break," she confirmed softly. Cae motioned to the barstools and Jay sat down next to him, picking up her drink again and taking another sip.

She smiled lopsidedly. "You make a good hot chocolate," Jay crooned after sipping the sweet drink again.

"I heard you're in a band now, how's that going? Alcy told me all about it. I was just up to see her," Jaycie explained. She didn't mention that she'd heard his original song, 'Brown Eyed Angel', but she thought it was an incredibly sweet song and would make whoever it was written for fall in love. Jay bit her lip, then looked into his eyes.

"So, sights set on anyone yet?" she asked casually, wondering who the brown eyed angel of his dreams was. A little part of her heart was begging for it to be her, but she knew otherwise. Why on earth would he choose her? She was just Jaycie, so simple that her name suited her right to the last strand of her hair.

Caelum always thought it adorable when Jay blushed, as the light pink colour melded beautifully with her skin and gave her an innocent look, her beauty really shining through when she blushed. He thought it amusing how captivating he found her, as he never had and never would adore a girl like he adored Jaycie Simple. He stroked his fingers over her cheek lightly with a soft smile. "You're really cute when you blush, you know that, right?" He winked at her.

Cae took a seat and nodded his head in agreement with her. There was no place like home, it was were you were safe and happy. "Yeah, I like being home. Tours are fun, but its nice to just kick back and relax in the confines of your own house sometimes, you know what I mean?" He wrung his hands together and resisted the urge to brush her hair out of her face, or even just grab her hand in his own. He didn't want to make a move and be crushed.

He chuckled and reached over to ruffle her hair, but flattened it straight after as he didn't want to ruin her precious hair.

He knew how touchy girls could be about their hair.

"Thanks m'lday." He responded with a flourish of his hands as he half-bowed in his seated position. He nodded his hand when she said she'd heard he was in a band and grinned when she'd mentioned being up to see Alcyone, though he felt his heart fall in disappointment. Of course she'd visit his sister and not arrange to meet him, he was just her best friend's little brother. "Ah, yes, I am. Its going pretty good. The Wicked Wizards, we're called, cause we're wicked." He smiled, though it didn't reach his saddened eyes.

He felt stupid for even thinking that she'd want to see him, she'd probably just said she'd missed him because she didn't want him to say anything to Alcyone, who would ultimately break off the friendship. She was the complete oppostie of her name, 'Simple'. He believed she was more suited to 'Jaycie Perfect' or 'Jaycie Beautiful Beyond Belief'. Yes, he thought to himself, that was a perfect name for Jaycie. He shrugged his shoulders at her question. "One girl, i've liked her for ages but I don't think she see's me that way, I mean, we've been friends for years."

The butterflies were now starting to massacre each other in Jaycie's belly as Caelum stroked his hand over her cheek, pointing out her blush. She only felt her face heat up more, and she resisted leaning into his hand. It was such a nice touch and she inwardly sighed in disappointment when he pulled it away. "Thanks," Jay breathed, unable to stop herself from staring into his deep eyes. She decided that if she'd spoken any louder he would have heard the tremble in her voice - and she didn't want that.

She subtly took a deep breath and smiled, nodding. "Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. There comes a point when you just wanna go home," Jay said. She noticed him wringing his hands together, but kept her mouth shut about it, even though her mind was racing. Did he not like her company? Was she boring him? Did he have somewhere else he needed to be? Was she wasting his time? Jaycie swallowed. She didn't want to be a waste of his time.

Jay ducked her head when Cae ruffled her hair. She grinned as he smoothed it back out again. "You take too much care, good sir," she joked. Her smile broadened when he bowed with a flourish. "I've heard some of your stuff, it's really good," Jaycie complimented. She contemplated his smile - though it was broad and warmly welcoming, it seemed slightly sad too. Did she say something that brought back bad memories? That had happened before. Jaycie frowned slightly but then brightened again when he answered her question about his love life.

His remark hit her like a shock of arrows. Her breath was slow and ragged, and she couldn't feel her heart any more. What's wrong with me? Jaycie asked herself. He's so very out of my league, obviously he's got his sights on another. She kept up her smile though, even though she felt like she'd just died inside. "That's cute," she said, managing to pull off a very convincingly cheery voice.

Caelum felt like bashing his head against the bar repeatedly for thinking that Jaycie could ever like him. When they'd hugged, he'd felt a spark, a course of electricity course between the two of them, but now he felt as if his heart had been ripped in two and fed to a beast that took careful time to shred into small pieces, chew it up and then swallow it. He looked at her sideways as she spoke, his eyes almost shutting as he heard her melodic voice once more. He savoured everything about her now as he realised soon, she would be gone once more and she wouldn't bother to contact him. The way her golden locks of sunshine shimmered around her head as she spoke, or even just moved it the slightest bit. The whiteness of her teeth, the radiance of her smile, the perfectness of every single freckle on her face, as if it was meant to be there. The soft, melody that was her voice. And lastly, her eyes. They were beautiful, caramel swirled with chocolate.

She was his brown eyed angel.

To smile back took a lot of effort as he forced himself to chuckle at her joke. His hand lingered on her hair for a few seconds longer than necessary, and he reluctantly withdrew it, though in a flirtatious way it was. His hand slid down her hair, onto her shoulder and then away from her completely and back in his lap. "Thank you! I admit i've been a bit obsessed with some of your songs, they're really good." He grinned.

Being a guy, he wouldn't've noticed the way she deflated even if there was a neon sign in front of his face pointing it out. He merely wallowed in his own self-pity that the beautiful woman beside him would never stoop so low for a thing like him. "Y-yeah." He faltered, before finally he pushed his feelings aside and focused on the friendship between them. "Hey, maybe my band and you could do a song together? It'd be a hit, I betcha." He suggested with a grin.

Jaycie's eyes widened a fraction as Cae's hand lingered a little longer on her hair. She wished with all her heart that it meant something. But she knew he was just smoothing it out, probably because he'd made it so messy. Oh, how Jay wished he really was flirting with her. But he wasn't, and she couldn't help that. Her shoulder tingled on the parts of the skin where he'd brushed her with his hand and it sent a little spark of longing through her body.

Jay smiled genuinely. "Really?" she asked, amazed that he liked her music. "Which one's your favourite?" Jaycie thought about taking that back, but decided not to, seeing as he might actually like one of her songs. Her head buzzed with glee with the thought that he liked some of her music.

She glanced at him. He seemed to falter over his reply. Jay desperately wanted to ask what was wrong, but before she had the chance, Cae had suggested they did a collaboration. Her face lit up. "That would be wonderful," she said. "I'd love to. That is, if the rest of your band wants to as well." She quickly amended herself, trying not to sound too eager.

Caelum could easily picture running his hand through her hair and fixing it in her hair as he held her close to him in an embrace, but he restrained himself. His more male urges began to kick in, and he felt a desperate need to kiss her, but he turned his head away and pulled his hand away from her shoulder as if he'd been electrocuted. He mentally screamed and threw chairs around with his frustration and not being able to have this beautiful woman beside him all to himself. She was perfection.

Oh the cruelty of life.

"Hmm. That's a hard one, I love lots of your songs, Willow Tree for example." He thought through all of her songs that he'd religiously listened too - and genuinely, he adored them. He grinned at her amazement and loved the way her eyes twinkled with her happiness. He remembered a lyric from his song 'brown eyed angel' that fit the sparkle in her eyes, And your eyes that twinkle with joy light up my world like the sun. "But my favourite," he paused a moment. "Is Lil' Birdy."

Caelum's eyes lit up at her eagerness. He was worried for a moment that she wouldn't like his suggestion, but then he was relieved as she was happy. "Well, i'll ask the band tonight but im sure they'll be fine with it. This is really cool!" He grinned happily, un-able to conceal his joy at this thought.

Jaycie studied Caelum's face as he turned back to the bar. His eyes swirled with emotions and for some reason he looked torn. Between what, Jay didn't know, but a tang of curiosity resided in her mind and she knew she would find out sooner or later. His eyes captivated her and she almost forgot why she was staring into them in the first place, imagining how much completion would gain if she could just lie in the sunshine on a grassy hill, asleep on his muscular torso with his strong arms around her.

Jay took a deep breath and mentally shook herself out of her deliciously cruel daydream. Like that would ever happen. She took another small sip from her hot chocolate which was steadily starting to grow cold. But Jaycie didn't mind.

He started talking about her songs, and she was amazed at how many people liked Willow Tree. Jay decided not to tell Caelum that it was based off a dream she'd had about him once. Jay smiled and ducked her head when he said his favourite was Lil' Birdy. "That's my favourite too," she said, smiling softly. "I loved writing and singing it, it was really crazy fun." Jay looked up and back into his eyes, her own shining with relief. "Did you like the bird imitations I put in there?" she asked excitedly, she'd finally put her childhood hobby to good use.

Her heart jolted when Cae's eyes lit up with joy. His grin was infectious and Jaycie couldn't stop smiling either. "That'll be fantastic!" she exclaimed, already excited. "What kind of song do you reckon we'd do together?"

Caelum fidgeted with his hands and struggled to find a place to put them. He eventually settled with placing them on the bar as he glanced at her sideways. He couldn't help but smile widely as he saw out the corner of his eye that she was staring at him with a slightly dreamy look, and he had to turn his head to confirm it was him. For a moment, hope flared through him but the voice in the back of his head told him not to think about it, that she was probably thinking about something else and not him. His shoulders slumped slightly but he kept a smile on his face as he decided to joke about it - like guys always did. "See something you like, sugar?" He winked at her.

He watched her as she drank from her hot chocolate and felt him smile widen at the way her gentle waves of gold shimmered around her head as she moved just the slightest bit. How he'd love to wrap a lock around his finger, or brush it out of her face and tuck it behind her ear.

Caelum knew that Willow Tree had been big seller for her, as it was beautiful and dream-like. He'd often played it to himself when he was sad, depressed, angry or reliving memories that he'd tried to keep locked up in a box. He remembered waking up from a nightmare that had been the moment when Capella died, but in his dream Jaycie had burst in - the young one that he'd crushed on - and in turn, the spell had been cast at her and he'd watched as she'd died, but suddenly everything changed and it was the war that had happened in her last year of school, and she was that beautiful teenage girl and he'd held her as she died. He'd played her song then, and had slept dreamlessly the rest of the night. Just the thought of Jaycie covered in her own blood as she died made his heart clench painfully and he was sure his pain played in his eyes. He zoned back into the conversation just as she responded to him saying his favourite song. "Yeah, thats a really brilliant song. I did! They were brilliant!" He grinned at her, his chest still aching though from his previous thoughts.

Caelum only wished that he didn't have to do it with his band as well, just the two of them singing a song would've been amazing. And he could've slyly suggested a love song so that they would make lots of money off of it, and then he could convey his feelings to her through the song without her thinking anything of it. He was a pretty good singer, but Tilly was better so naturally she was the lead singer of their band. "Im not sure, something fun!"

Jay broke out of her staring when Caelum turned to her. He made a joke, and she blushed a little, before a thought sprung to mind. This was one of the rare times her witty mind could come up with stuff! "Yes, I was looking at my reflection," Jaycie joked back. She grinned slyly and winked at him.

Out of the corner of her eye, she could swear that Cae was doing the same to her as she had only just been doing to him - staring. Her heart fluttered but then the sensible part of her brain told her to stop being so silly, and she brushed off the look, a little heavy hearted.

Jay grinned as Caelum seemed to zone out for a second. What was he thinking about? Jaycie desperately wished she knew, the things that filled the space inside Caelum's head really seemed to fascinate her. She spent ages just pondering it in the back of her mind while she did chores or went for walks or - or slept, even. Jay knew she'd had lots of dreams featuring Cae but apparently her brain liked to dispose of them before she woke up, like it was some sort of sacred thing that she wasn't allowed to remember.

She grinned at him again. She couldn't really ask for more praise than that. "You're so nice to me!" Jay beamed at Caelum. She was so happy that he liked it. Jay reached a hand out and ruffled his already messy hair fondly. She giggled.

Part of her mind decided to rebel and wander off on a dream-like tangent, one where Cae could give Jaycie all the praise he liked and where she could do her best to please him and everything she did would be beautiful in his eyes. But she knew it was wishful thinking, so the rest of Jay's mind - the part covered in sense, not sensibility, in her opinion - stayed tuned in.

"Well, obviously it's going to be fun," she laughed. "We should do something completely wacky and out there. Like nothing before," Jay was starting to bubble over with ideas and excitement. She was already wishing for the band to agree to a collab!

Caelum smiled as he saw the light pink tinge her cheeks once more, bringing out the golden flecks through her brown eyes, and making her seem even more adorable. He curled his hand in on itself as he denied his fingers the pleasure of brushing them across her cheek lightly at her blush - as he believed she'd be creeped out by that and reject him. Caelum had a major problem with rejection due to his traumatised childhood. "Ah, yes, that would be something to look at it indeed," he blurted out in a moment where he wasn't thinking straight, before his eyes widened at his own words and he felt his cheeks tinge pink as well. "Um- I mean," he paused. "Yeah, thats what I meant." He finally mumbled.

Caelum mentally hit himself on the head for saying that, but his logical side pointed out that it was normal for friends to compliment each other. He certainly never did it enough, and friends were meant to do that, so boldly he grinned at her. "You're really gorgeous, you know? I wonder why you haven't got a boyfriend?" He asked with a wink, though he dreaded for a moment that she'd say 'I have.' He couldn't think about the heart-break he'd suffer if she had a boyfriend.

Caelum could picture it now - as he tried to distract himself from such negative and traumatising thoughts - a world where he had the only thing he'd ever wanted, he'd ever needed desperately. He had the beautiful girl beside him in his arms, his to protect and treasure and treat like the beautiful creature she was. She fascinated him with her beauty, her voice, her loving nature, her gentleness. The gentleness especially, something he'd never really had. He'd always been very protective and aggressive, but she was too angelic to hurt someone if they crossed her. He knew he'd beaten up plenty of guys for even looking at her or his sister in a way that he didn't like - Jasper being an exception because Alcyone had begged him not to. Caelum shook his head and went back to imagining his perfect world. He knew that whether he was poor or rich, in debt or not, if he had Jaycie everything would be alright. Just to hold her in his arms was an amazing feeling, and he craved it every time he didn't have her in his arms.

Caelum smiled back at her grin as she proclaimed that he was too nice to her. He shook his head, in his eyes he wasn't nearly nice enough. "I could be much nicer than that." He grinned, but this morphed into a pout as she ruffled his perfectly messy hair. "Oi! I spent ages perfecting that!" He joked, but left it the way it was now.

Caelum began to think about different ways he could compliment her to show just exactly how nice he could be to her. He watched as her eyes became dreamy again as they constantly did whenever she was around him. He wondered what she was thinking about, and a big part of him wished it was him. Wishful thinking was something he constantly did whenever he was around her - and often when he wasn't He sighed heavily before shaking his head and flicking her lightly on the arm. "Oi, stop day dreaming pretty girl. Am I really that boring?" He asked with a pout.

Caelum bobbed his head in complete agreement. As much as he'd like to do a duet with her alone, a wacko song with the band would definitely be fun. "We should, you could add in your bird songs just to add a little bit more awesome and craziness, yeah?" He grinned at her.

Jaycie laughed at Caelum. He was so sweet. She lay her head against his shoulder, a grin plastered over her face as she giggled at him. "You're adorable," she said honestly. Straightening up, she looked him dead in the eye, forcing herself not to betray the butterflies that jumbled around in her belly when he called her gorgeous. Jay wanted him to say that to her again and again, put it on a recording so she could play it over and over even when he wasn't there. She silently answered his question about her relationship status - Because you haven't asked me and I don't have the guts to get up and take you for my own.

Outwardly, Jaycie shrugged. "I don't think anyone sees me as fantastic girlfriend material," she said remorsefully, leaving out the part about the six guys who had approached her on the tour cruise asking her out on dates, all of which she'd declined. She smiled warmly at Caelum. "You're single too, as far as I know," she accused him, poking his muscular shoulder. Jay paused, and poked it again.

"Wow," she said with a laugh. "You've been going to the gym!" Jay started giggling and covered her mouth. It wasn't because it was funny to imagine Cae purposefully going to the gym - he'd been doing that for ages - it was more the girly delight at how his muscles rippled under her touch.

Jay grinned at Cae's reaction to her mussing up his hair. "And yet you didn't fix it back. Here, have my compact, I'm sure you'll spend an age putting it back in 'place'," she said sarcastically, placing air quotes around the word "place". She dug around in her bag and grabbed out her compact mirror, shoving it into his hands with a stifled laugh.

Jay was rudely awakened from her daydream and zoned back in. She glared mockingly at Caelum. "A girl can think," Jay replied, smiling lopsidedly.

"That would be so epic," Jaycie agreed swiftly. "I hope your band wants to tag team with me; I think we'll all get along smashingly," she grinned.

Caelum felt his eyes widen as she laid her head against his shoulder, and tentatively he wrapped an arm around her waist and squeezed it lightly. Her warm breath tickled his neck as she laughed, and her wonderful scent of a mixture of berries tempted him and he looked down at her. He felt as if he was in one of his dreams where she rested against him, laughed at his jokes and he held her close to him. "Thanks, love, but you're talking to yourself." He said, not even blushing as he called her 'love' though he grinned widely. He felt disappointment as she straightened up but tried not to let it show. Her eyes made him feel dizzy, and he didn't notice the silence that settled between them for a moment.

At his question, her eyes clouded briefly with an emotion that passed so quickly he couldn't decipher what it'd been. He wanted to deny that fact and shout that he did, that he loved her and would be happy to be her boyfriend but he managed to pull it together in time to smile sympathetically, even though inside he rejoiced because she didn't have a boyfriend. "Im sure someone does, and they're probably the person you least expect," Caelum smiled. He laughed as she said that, and before she poked him he responded the same as her, "I don't think anyone sees me as a fantastic boyfriend material." He grinned.

A laugh escaped him as she poked him and noted that he'd been working out. He grinned at her, as he hadn't expected her to be that surprised, he'd always worked out. Punching bags, running and lifting weights until he was so covered in sweat he looked like he'd jumped in a lake had been a way to vent, to get out his anger. He flexed his arms a bit and then rolled his eyes at her giggles. "I've always worked out, Jay." He patted her on the head with a wide grin.

Caelum stuck his tongue out at her and took the compact with reluctance. He looked at his hair and found it looked better than what it'd originally been, so he handed the compact back, wrapped an arm around her waist, gave her a light squeeze and then let go. "Thanks sugar, but I think my hair looks better now don't you?" He winked at her and leant back against the counter of the bar.

Caelum nodded his head at her. "I know." He desperately wanted to know what exactly she thought about, as it was a mystery to him that he wanted to solve.

"Yes! Im sure they'll love you, after all, Adonis is a stalker of yours. He thinks no one knows, but i've seen him with him dancing to your music or heard him humming your tunes. Naturally, I know what song he's humming because I'm also a major stalker of yours but I'm not ashamed of it." Caelum boasted proudly.

Jaycie's breath hitched in her throat as Caelum's arm wrapped around her waist. How many times had she daydreamed him doing that before? Too many. The butterflies in her stomach were crazier than the crowds of fans at her concerts, and Jay herself couldn't repress the twinkle in her eyes when Caelum called her love. She really didn't mind him talking to her like that; in fact, she wanted to hear that so much it hurt. Jay had the sudden realisation that his grin made her want to kiss him then and there.

Jay sighed inwardly when Cae smiled. "Maybe," she said, though she highly doubted it. The only person she didn't expect to like her back was the young man sitting before her, in all his handsomely familiar glory.

"You really think so?" Jaycie asked curiously. "Cause I'm sure any girl would see you as great boyfriend material." She wanted to say, Like I do, but she didn't dare give the game away.

Jay shook her head, smiling. "I know you have. You've just grown into your workouts," she said, and then realised how little that made sense. Her face scrunched in confusion at herself. He flexed his arm and she had to fight to not stare, already knowing she was blushing bright red. Jay scowled at his hand when he patted her on the head.

She reached out her hand and took the small mirror back,dumping it in her bag. Jay shrugged. "Not boasting or anything, but I just have the touch," Jay grinned. Cae wrapped his arm around her and a wave of delight and pleasure swept through Jaycie at his touch. He squeezed and then dropped his arm, and before she could stop herself, her hand made a move to catch it. Jay's eyes widened and she folded her hands in her lap, pretending she hadn't just reached to grab his arm and put it back on her waist. She swallowed nervously, hoping he hadn't noticed.

Jay laughed. "Really? I better watch my step then, don't want to be pulling any heartstrings," she giggled. It was amazing to think that she, Jaycie Simple, the shyest girl at Hogwarts, had grown into a girl with more stalkers than she could count.

The room was starting to crowd a little and Jaycie was worried that the press would find her and flock in, digging up the juicy titbits on her and Cae's "mysterious relationship", as they would plaster it as in the Witch Weekly magazine. She could feel the stares and hear the whispers of numerous people up the back and honestly, she just wanted to hang out with Caelum without anyone judging them. "Do you want to go for a walk? It's kind of stuffy in here," Jay suggested casually.

Her waist was exactly how he'd always imagined it, soft and warm. His arms seemed to fit perfectly around her, though he believed this was just his imagination torturing him with something that he could never have. The darn thing was evil, he knew it, taunting him with daydreams of Jaycie all the time - daydreams that would never come true. She was so adorable without even realising it sometimes, as she looked at him with her gorgeous hair framing her face and her beautiful little brown eyes, framed by her dark lashes. He was relieved when he didn't even receive a surprised look at him calling her 'love'.

Caelum had to hold back a sigh of frustration as folded his hands in his lap, for they itched to cup her face as he proclaimed his un-dying love for the whole world to see. "Maybe?" He asked incredulously. "Jay, you're pretty much the most beautiful woman i've ever seen! How could someone NOT love you?" Caelum blinked at his own words and felt his cheeks tinge a light pink.

Caelum grinned at Jay. "Yeah, I really think so." He confirmed. He blushed lightly and wished that she thought of him as good boyfriend material. "Yeah sure, how come i'm still single then?" Because no girl could ever compare to Jaycie. His mind reminded him.

"Uh huh." He raised his eyebrows at the sentence she just said, a chuckle given at how it made no sense whatsoever, but then, it did. Because him and Jay had always been like that, able to understand what others just stared at. "I have, haven't I?" He grinned. Her blush made him want to kiss her on each cheek and make her blush even more, because she was so cute when she blushed. Cute when she scowled, too. Was there anything she did that wasn't cute?

"Indeed you do! It is the touch that makes the world stop and stare in awe at how awesome it is." Caelum laughed. She was so perfect in his mind that he couldn't help but take any opportunity to touch her, like with his arm around her. It lingered a moment longer than necessary before he dropped it. His eyes widened as he saw her hand move to catch his arm and his heart skipped a beat... literally. He stopped his arm and changed course, suddenly feeling confident. He took her hand in his own and this time didn't let go, just held it.

"No, so far so good, let's not pull any." He sort of rambled, because she hadn't just pulled heartstrings, but she'd stolen his own. If only she knew the things she did to him, the wild fantasies, the heart-ache, everything.

Caelum felt himself tense as he looked around at all the people loitering around. One of them had a camera, and he immediately dropped Jay's hand so as to avoid suspicion. "Camera to your right." He muttered, shifting his chair a little away from hers. He nodded his head eagerly at her offer to go for a walk. "Yes, walk, let's." He agreed, getting up and waiting for her.
