More Information

Mamie never knew her mother, but she did know her story. Her mother, when she still lived in Sicily, was attacked by a vampire, and raped. Her pregnancy was difficult and premature; Teresa was merely 18 years old when Ash attacked her. Mamie was born several weeks early and had to spend a month in intensive care at St. Mungo's. Teresa died just after childbirth and was never able to hold her baby.
Mamie's Aunt, whom she lived with her entire life, told her that the one thing her mother had spoken of her whole childhood would be that if she ever had a daughter, she would call her Mamie-Lee. And so when Mamie was turned into Aunt Addie's care, that's exactly what she was called.
Mamie is a very smart girl and learnt music early; Piano and guitar were her two favourite instruments but she also learnt the Harp, Cello and bass guitar. People like Mamie as she is very friendly, intelligent and constantly talking - she's a bit of a bubbly blabbermouth and despite her talkative tendencies Mamie excels at keeping secrets. Her baby dragon Layla is a rare species of miniature dragon that was found in New Zealand and the west coast of Papua New Guinea. She is blue and gold, with very smooth, snake-like scales and a horn-rimmed head. Her wings are thin and spiked and she's about the size of Mamie's forearm. She tends to rest on her beloved's shoulder or in and around her hair, and seems to communicate with the young vampire occasionally.
Mamie has never told anybody about her random cravings for blood; she wants to try and rid herself of her vampirism even though it seems to bring her such delight.
