Anne walked in her door and smiled. She was glad it went well. However now she was in trouble. Knowing Damien he would be pissed. She was as good as dead. She didn't care though. She wouldn't take back her actions. Lily was safe and so was she. She would work out how to kill Kate later.

"I'm home." She called to the house knowing she would rather deal with the rage now than later. She wanted to see Sofia and DJ, but first she had to clear the air with her husband.

Damien had put the kids down for a nap, he had still not heard from Anne and wondered if she was alright. DJ was the one saying Mama all the time, and Damien could do nothing to stop him. The baby Sofia she just didn't know anything yet. He had kissed both kids and then placed a silencing spell around the room so no outside noise would bother them, but he could still here them.

Damien had just finished the with the kids when he heard Anne yelling from the other room. He had been very worried and pissed all at the same time, and he wanted to run and hold her and then to scream at her. He thought that with the way his temper was flared up it would be a saver bet to stand with his back against the door frame.

"Well, well, did we have a nice trip trying to get yourself killed?" Damien said through strained teeth

Anne sighed and shook her head. Really she had got his daughter back. She hadn't even gotten a scratch. Really he was blowing everything out of the water. She walked over to the counter and leaned against it. Clearly they were going to have this fight as far away from each other as possible.

"It went well." She said ignoring the tension. "Lily is home with Tessa." She said lightly. She looked over at him and wished that he wouldn't be this protective. It was different than it had been with DJ. She knew that Kate wouldn't hurt her own blood, she couldn't. However Lily she would hurt and Anne would not let that happen.

"You can yell. I know you want to." She said looking at him almost daring him to.

Damien just glared at her, his temper was on a all high and he had never laid a hand on Anne and he wasn't going to now, but in order for that to happened he needed to stay over here. He had changed a lot but he still had his temper, and he did not want to hit her.

"You act like this is no big deal, you could have been killed. It is not your responsibility to go out running around trying to save everyone. That is what the aurors are for. I thought we discussed this after DJ disappeared." Damien got a little louder, not to a yell yet.

Anne looked at him and shook her head. She would do anything for her family and she had been in Tessa's shoes she had lost her baby. She remembered how angry she was with Parker when it happened. She never wanted anyone to have to suffer like that. It was her fault that Lily was gone in the first place.

"The Arours?" She asked shaking her head. "What have they ever done? They didn't find me after seven years, Dimitri found DJ. I knew where she was and I went and got her." She said trying to stay calm. She didn't need to get angry and relive other times when she had been angry.

She saw how far he was staying away from her and she closed her eyes. She needed to stay calm as she didn't want to get hit. Of course when she was angry she got up in their face.

"Damien this time it was different. She wouldn't hurt DJ, as much as she hates me she can't hurt her own blood." She said looking at him trying to catch his eye. "with Lily she could and would. I was not about to let her suffer." She said sharply.

"You say it's not my job to protect people, but that's what I do. I've been the damsel in distress, guess what no one came. So I became a hero instead. I know what Kate can do, and you think I would stand there and wait till the arours saved her? No! That is not who I am. I've never been that. I don't regret what I did! I never will! I listened to someone I love say 'She hurt me'." She shouted not caring about the volume of her voice.

"That bitch used the torture curse on her. I was not going to leave her there." She said her eyes flashing. "No child should have to feel that pain." She said her voice calming a bit.

"I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I will ALWAYS protect those I love."

Damien listened to everything she was saying and all he wanted to do was scream, it should have been him going and saving his daughter, it was his responsibility he should have been the one to to get her.

"You don't think I could have handled her, I have seen what Hugo could do, remember I was there. I imagine she is not any different. I know what the torture curse is like I have had it myself so of course I don't want it for her." Damien finally yelled.

"I understand that you have to help, don't you think that maybe you could let me help you." Damien glared at her.

"Well you know what, I hate feeling useless and since you don't seem to want my help, then you can do it all." Damien sighed and turned around and headed to their room to pack a bag.

Anne sighed and let him yell. She didn't want to tell him not to. She sighed when he said he hated feeling useless. She knew he did, but he wasn't she wanted to shout at him that he wasn't useless.

She waited calmly till he was done. "It's my fault she was taken. I was not going to let her stay there."

"As for Kate, I have to say she is worse than Hugo. She kills for fun, she has no remorse. All she cares about is blood." She said looking at him. "If you had gone you would have died." She said knowing it to be true. "Being able to see what she was going to do before she did it was what kept me alive and unhurt. You, and Capper, don't have that. I do. I knew I would live and be able to save her. So I went." She stated rather calmly.

Anne never thought she would feel this. Tears sprung to her eyes. he was walking away from her. That hurt more than anything she had ever felt. "You're going to leave me?" She asked managing to keep her voice level though her heart was breaking. She closed her eyes and tried to get her tears to stop.

She knew what words she could use to make him stay but she wouldn't. She wouldn't make him do anything he didn't want to. "I'm not going to stop you if you want to leave, but I will say this. I've needed you since I was 11 years old. I've never stopped needing you. You kept me alive all of those years. If I lost you, I would lose everything." She said her eyes still closed. She knew he might already be gone, she didn't care.

"I love you." she said to him before turning and sitting down. She really wanted a drink right now.

Damien sighed as he turned to walk out the room as he listened to her talk, his main thing at the moment is he felt that she didn't need him. He just turned away from her as he started to cry. No one saw Damien cried, no one was allowed was suppose to see his weakness.

He wanted to calm down a little, he wanted a drink, but he had not had a drink in over a year now and he wasn't going to start. He packed a few things in a bag, he was not going far. He was just going to be in a room in the wing of the house they didn't use.

He walked back to where Anne was and he leaned down and kissed her cheek, "I love you too, and I am not going to be far." Damien sighed

"Sometimes I hate your gift, I just wish you would talk to me about the visions you have when you want to act on things."

Anne swallowed back more tears as he started to cry. She looked up tears still in her eyes. "You know you can cry in front of me. Nothing would make me think less of you." She whispered not knowing if he could even hear her.

Anne sighed when he kissed her on the cheek. She wanted him to stay but she wasn't going to ask him to not when he needed space. "I'll keep my distance." She said softly. She knew where he was going but she wouldn't bug him. He needed space from her.

She let the tears flow freely. She hated her gift she always had. "It's not a gift it's a burden, but it's mine to bear." She said simply. "You don't want to know what I see." She said simply. "If you really do I'll show you." She said giving him the option of seeing what she saw.

She shook her head and sat down on the floor hugging her knees. "Right before I went to Tessa's a saw Lily screaming in pain. I would have left right then. But Tessa needed to know her daughter was missing. So I went and told her than Capper showed up and you as well. I chose to go rather than let someone else I love go." She said directed more to her knees than Damien.

"My family is my whole world. I couldn't let another member of that family be in danger." She said shaking slightly. She knew what was going to come. She wanted to fight it. No she couldn't see this not now. Of course the dream flashed in her mind and she had to hold back a sob.

[ The dream:
Anne watched Hugo pull a struggling man in. She gasped seeing who it was and jumped to her feet making her chains clink. Damien saw her and looked her over seeing what Hugo had done to her fought harder. The mad man just smiled and hit him to the floor. "No Hugo, take me. Kill me." She said trying to keep the plea out of her voice. "Let him go." She screamed. Hugo smiled and forced a small vile of poison down his throat. He held out a bottle and placed it out of her reach. "The antidote." He said leaving her.

Anne pulled on the chain hoping to reach her dying friend. She watched his chest rise and fall. He was just out of reach. "WAKE UP." She screamed pleading and begging. "Damien, you have to wake." She screamed at him rattling her chains. "Please." She said watching his breathing slow. She pulled on her chain and tried to break it. She had to get to him. He had to live.

She saw his chest stop rising and her heart stopped. She pulled at her chain to find it was now longer. She went over to him and checked his pulse. There was none. She ran over to the antidote and ran back. She forced it down his throat, and waited. He didn't stir. Anne shook her head and tried to revive him. "No, no no no no NO." She said not stopping he had to live. "Damien wake up, please." She begged. "Please Damien, for me? I love you please." She sobbed still trying in vain to revive him.

Anne gave up after what seemed like an hour. She hugged him close to her chest. Tears traced without stop down her face. She couldn't breath. Her heart was gone. Gone with the man she loved. Her pain was beyond grief. It was unbearable. She couldn't breath, nor see. The person she had lived for, had fought for was gone. Because of her. She would do anything to be in his place. To have him alive. She would give everything else she had, just for him.

Anne sobbed into his cold dead chest and waited. She wanted nothing more than to die. To be with him. She couldn't stand the pain of being in a world without him. Her best friend, her brother, her protector, her reason to live was gone. She had truly lost everything.]]

Damien hung his head and cried as he watched her sit on the floor and hug her knees. He could never truly leave her, he loved her too much, he had just been too mad at her at the time and was afraid he would lash out at her for being so reckless

Damien got down on the floor and pulled her to him and cried along with her, "You have the ability to know that your going to be ok and what is going to happen and like you said I don't have that gift of knowing."

Damien sighed and continued, "So how do you think I felt watching my world take of the only link I have to know she is safe, and disappear before my eyes. I didn't know if you were coming back to be or not. So I could have lost Lily and you, and do you know how hard it would be to be strong for DJ and Sofia?"

Anne held her knees closer to her chest and when Damien came and sat down next to her she couldn't help grabbing on to him. To see he was real. She cried in his shoulder. She was never as strong as she was in the face of danger.

"I know. I thought you would know I would never leave my family. If I wouldn't make it out I wouldn't go. I'm sorry." She said not wanting to lose him no matter how temporarily.

"I would never leave you alone even if I didn't make it. Damien, someone would always help. That's why they have godparents." She said the dream fading and reality setting back in.

"I never want to lose any of you. You all mean too much to me." She said resting her head back.

Damien placed his arms around Anne when she grabbed him. He took his hand and starting rubbing her back as he listened to her talk.

"I understand that, but that still does not make me fell better about watching you leave me and not knowing where you are going." Damien sighed

"Maybe we need to come up with a way for this to work, I know you are still going to take off on me, but please don't take off the necklace again." He pulled it out of his pocket and placed it around her neck.

Damien knew she was a free spirit but that still did not make him feel any better with her wanting to go out on her own.

"I know we are getting along at the moment, but I can only stand my ex wife for so long dear." Damien laughed into her ear.

Damien stood up and picked her up off the floor, "We have had a long day, how about I take you to bed?"

Anne sighed and nodded trying to dry the tears on her face. "I'll try to tell you where I go next time." She said closing her eyes.

"Alright." She said touching her necklace and smiling a bit at him. "I wont take it off again." She said honestly. She did think it could come in handy.

"I don't want there to be a next time. We need to kill her. As much as I hate killing people it needs to be done. For our family." She said looking at him.

"Well Parker and Deva would help as well, and Dimitri." She said listing some of the people she would trust with her life. Well not Deva but Haley was who she trusted. Haley was who protected them, Deva was just who she was pretending to be.

"Yes lets." She said standing up and holding out her hand. "You can still go if you want, just come back if I need you." She said placing a hand over the locket.

Damien smiled that was all he wanted, he wanted to be able to know what she was doing and where she was going.

"With the necklace on I can get a feel of where you are at and if you are in danger, that's all I want. Maybe I can get a charm added so that you could tell me me if you want me or not."

Damien knew he would have to give her space to do what she feels is needed and not hold her reins too tight.

Damien pulled her up and hugged her close, "I am much calmer now, I am not going anywhere.."

Damien cupped her face with his hands and looked deep into her eyes, "I will never leave you, but there is always going to be times that I need a breakaway."

Damien sighed, "Earlier I was afraid that I was going to hit you, that's why I couldn't get close to you, but your tears always break me."

Anne sighed knowing how hard it was for him when she just took off. She really shouldn't do that but putting him in danger was not what she wanted. She cared for him to much.

"Well that would be helpful, but until then, I think we should be fine. I really don't see myself running off in the near future." She said hoping she would never need to run off to keep anyone safe again. She wanted to have a quiet life. It seemed that it would be impossible.

Anne sighed and leaned her head on his shoulder glad to have him close. She knew he would need a break every once and while. She was happy that the manor was so large. He could go away without really being too far.

"I get it. I'm a bit hard to deal with sometimes. Especially when I do stupid things." She said. "Sometimes I might need a break too though. I hope you know that. Not from you necessarily but from everything." She stated knowing how hard it was to be a part of a war and raise her family.

"I'm not scared of you Damien. Even if you did hit me, I know you love me. Anyway I've been hit before, it doesn't bother me. As long as no one curses me I'm fine." She stated firmly.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to cry, I just I couldn't lose you. You can be angry with me. As long as we can work it out in the end."

Damien just sat and listened to Anne talk and he started to feel a little bad, he understood how she was and even though it was hard for him to deal with he knew she needed to be the way she was.

"Honey, your not hard to deal with. Sometimes it is just hard for me to understand why you do the crazy things you do." Damien knew the type of person she was and he should have been used to it by now.

Damien was a little upset when she said she would understand if he hit her and that she had been hit before.

"It is never ok for anyone to hit you especially me, If I hit you I would never be able to forgive myself." Damien sighed, he remembered times before with Tabi and how terrible he felt forever.

Damien hugged Anne very tight, "There will be times I walk away, but I will never walk away too far, I want you to always remember that. We will always work out the problems, just like we did now."

Anne sighed and rolled her eyes. She was hard to deal with sometimes. She did do stupid things a lot. She didn't want to start another argument for nothing. "Well I am a bit crazy." She said trying to lighten the mood a bit.

Anne sighed. "I know it's not right but it wouldn't bother me. I wouldn't take it lying down." She assured him.

Anne sighed and leaned into him. She was tired after the long day. "As long as you still love me." She murmured her eyes drooping.

Damien smiled and kissed his wife's forehead, "I believe I will always love you, and in order to get rid of me you will have to kill me."

Damien stood up and gave her a hand so she could get up, "Alright lets get your crazy butt to bed with me and my insane self." Damien said
