Casey had been excited with his last class because it had seemed that he had actually had students that wished to learn something and after his weekend with Sam it had made him in even a better mood. He had finally found someone to spend the rest of his life with and he was happy. His brother on the other hand was not thrilled, thought he was rushing into things. But Casey didn't care, Sam was amazing.

This week he was going to be teaching the students Protego so he was interested to know if they did as well with this lesson as the last one. Looking around the room he was ready for the students to file in.

Alex walked into the classroom and sat down in the front, feeling a bit drowsy, but otherwise okay. He took out his books and put his wand next to them, prepared for whatever practice they would have today. He hoped it'd be something interesting, and hopefully useful. He really didn't want to learn spells he would never have use for. But he guessed the teacher wouldn't teach them stuff that weren't useful. Alex had to smile at his ray of thoughts. They really weren't well sorted at that moment. He should've fallen asleep last night, but the insomnia had kicked in, and he had stayed awake the entire night.

Sabrina walked into the classroom and saw that one student was there already. She walked up to the front and sat down near him. She shared many of the same classes as him, but she had yet to learn his name. However, she wasn't really a people person, having lived in the wilderness for so long that she didn't quite know how to start a casual conversation. She sighed. She needed some help with stuff like that to build a steady life in this world. It was so much more different than the wilderness. She really thought she preferred the wilderness over this, though.

She took out her books and wondered what they would be learning today.

Lillian walked along the halls in haste to her lesson, excitement clear on her face. She loved learning about magic, it was absolutely fascinating! The art of potions, the way the different maneuvers could mean that a spell went right or wrong, and one wrong pronounced word could spell absolute disaster for the witch or wizard who cast it.

Lillian shook her head and entered the classroom, with a wide smile sent at the lehrer she then took her seat at the front of the classroom and set up for the class.

Casey looked up and noticed that most of his class was there so he decided that they would go ahead and start.

"Can any one tell me what they know about Protego spell?"

Nara rushed to her Defence class; she was late, again! She mentally smacked herself on the head. Stupid sleeping-in-ness. She burst through the door just as the Lehrer started the lesson and muttered an apology before taking a seat next to Alex.

Nara had no idea what the protego spell was, and was instantly listening, endeavouring to find out. She rather enjoyed defence, she figured, but Nara wasn't about to say it was her favourite class.

Alex looked up as Nara walked over to him, sitting down next to him. He gave her a smile and then looked to the lehrer, listening to what he was saying. He then raised his arm, knowing what the Protego charm was.

"The Protego charm is a charm that is cast to protect oneself from spells, and has different levels from the normal protego which only protects against weaker hexes and curses, and the protego maxima charm, which can be so strong that if people touch it they can disintegrate. It is all in all a shield," Alex said calmly, knowing a bunch about a lot of spells.

Casey was very glad that someone in the class was paying attention,

"Very good Mr. Grindelwald, 10 points" Casey smiled.

"Can anyone think of when might not be a good time to use a shield?"
