| Lola was standing in the drawing room doorway, looking in to the large room. It was lavish. Way too lavish for her... Merlin, it was overdone. But it was expensive, and well, Aunt Roxie had always been expensive. And pure.... Aunt Roxie had always been pure, and that was the one thing Lullaby liked about her.
She sighed and refused to sit down on the incredibly comfy-looking chairs. Instead, she looked out the heavily draped windows onto the grounds, which were far too green for Winter. Right now, Lola hated everything. Her blood boiled at everything she saw, heard, thought. It was actually kind of satisfying.
Lullaby folded her arms over her chest. She hadn't seen her Aunt in over seven years. She doubted that Roxie would be proud of her move, though. Lola just didn't care, that mudblood had it coming. |

| Roxie appeared in the doorway of her drawing room. Her niece was staring out the window, her trademark expression of distaste written over her features. In her hand, Roxie clutched the letter she'd received the day before concerning the new arrival, and to say the least she was not pleased.
"Lullaby," Roxie greeted the girl with indifference. Her eyes burned into Lola's person, unblinking and intimidating. After seven years of little contact, it was strange to see the once-innocent young girl bloom into a cold-blooded murderer at just 12 years old. |

| Lola spun around abruptly when her name was called from the hallway. She hid her fear and swallowed past the lump in her throat as discreetly as possible, seeing as it had just appeared when her Aunt had. Roxie stared at her, as regal and intimidating as ever. Lullaby returned the indifferent expression cooly, not willing to be the first to back down.
Aunt Roxie was exactly how Lullaby remembered her - beautiful, blonde, with an air of elegant mystery. She was not looking forward to living with this creature, let alone being schooled by her.
"Auntie," Lola replied, the slightest hint of warmth creeping into her voice. |
