More Information

Sometime a few generations back the idea got into the heads of Vladis’s family that they were the only true Purebloods left and that the only solution was to marry into the family exclusively. As a result cousins marry cousins, aunts and uncles their nieces and nephews and brothers to their sisters.

Her parents Alos and Cundrie are first cousins and married, like most in their family young. Their first child was a little girl who died in infancy. The second child was a boy the named Jochem who grew into a savvy, wealthy businessmen following a trend among the already well to do NÆss family. Erma was their third child a beautiful girl with blond hair and green eyes who ran away shaming her family at seventeen after becoming engaged to her cousin. Next came Vladis and then Alos who is a holy terror of a boy. Their last child was another little boy named Eilert who fell down the stairs and died at three.

Being the oldest, Jochem always felt he had a responsibility to look after the younger kids and always loved to play with them, though as he turned 11 he was glad to be leaving for Durmstrang and get some time to himself. Being raised with love and his parents views on life, he chose his friends with care and was cruel to anyone else. However, Jochem has always had a soft spot for injured people and when he came across a muggleborn girl crying with a lump on her head he cared for her but warned her that if she ever told anyone, he'd personally ensure she ever spoke again by violent means. As Jochem grew, he became colder and harder and eventually walked straight past injured people without a second glance unless they were worthy of his time.

Jochem has always had a soft spot for his little sister, Vladis, and he always treated her better than his other siblings. Being raised as he was, when Jochem was engaged to Vladis he thought nothing of it and loved her in a different way than a sister. This was a normal occurrence among his family to marry within themselves, as they deemed themselves higher than other people.

True to his family name, Jochem is a Dark One and the co-leader of the German branch of Dark Ones. He strongly believes that magic is might and those who do not have pure blood are not as great as those who are of pure blood - also believing that muggles are worthless.
