Valkyrie was born into a muggle family, and didn't know anything about the magical world before she received her letter from Hogwarts. She was victim to a lot of bullying due to being a 'mudblood' and she feels that, having become as popular as she is now, it should slam a shoe into the faces of the idiots that bullied her. She is best friends with Cae, and they are so close that they often flirt unintentionally. However, despite the flirting, Valkyrie doesn't have romantic feelings for him, but she loves him as a friend, and he's pretty much always there for her. So, when Jaycie enters the picture, Valkyrie feels a wee bit jealous because Cae spends less time with her. She feels as though she's loosing her best friend. So she takes the flirting up a notch, trying to make Jaycie think that Cae is taken, and doesn't hold any interest in her that way.

She chose the stage name 'Valkyrie' because it was where, in Norse mythology, that the gods would go when they died. In other words, she'd kick the bullies out on their asses, should they show up.
