Anne smiled as she set up the books for the first years. She was very excited, granted she still missed DJ who had yet to be found. She had a feeling that he would show up soon. She hoped he would. Anne relaxed and sat down on the mats. Today she was just doing an introduction. She wanted to know her students. She had been very careful not to show a scar, she didn't want to scare them.

Anne smiled and relaxed her whole body, she stood up and waited for her students. She was hoping for at least a few.

As October entered the classroom she saw the teacher. She seemed very nice. She sat her books down and looked at her hands. Entering another daydream....

Jamie skipped along to Divination. She'd always been interested with the future, and palmistry was supposedly very cool. She was amazed that some witches and wizards could see the future, and so she'd thought she HAD to take this class and see if you really good see the future. She took her seat at one of the tables up the front and smiled at the only other girl in the room - a Ravenclaw.

Carey groaned as he made his way up the stairs. He. HATED. stairs. He'd drop the class for the stairs alone if he could. It reminded him of all the hikes his brother and father would take him on and leave him behind on cause he couldn't catch up. When he finally managed to get up to the landing and he paused outside the door to catch his breath. He groaned over his dislike for the stairs as he opened the door and walked into the class room.

He narrowed his eyes, slowing his pace as he saw two of the three most annoying people he knew...scratch that, his brother made the list too. He sighed, nearly groaning again at the displeasure of this all. He didn't want to have to walk up aaall those stairs just to be greeted by rotten people. He grimaced and took a seat as far from them as he could. He set his bag down and really hoped this wasn't going to be a stupid introductory lesson...though just by the looks of this teacher, that might just be the case...

Anne looked at her class and smiled at her students. She knew that she wouldn't have many.

"Hello Carey, Jamie, and October. Welcome to Divination. I know you all might hate it but today is introduction." She said She could see that Carey wasn't going to like it at all. "Oh and Carey, be careful of Professor Malfoy, you as well Jamie." She said wondering what they were going to get detention over.

"Now I'm professor Grenne. Bit since you have another professor by that name feel free to call me Anne. Honestly I don't mind." She said not wanting to feel old, she liked being addressed by her first name.

"Now who can tell me anything about Divination?" She asked them all.

Jamie looked up as someone else entered the classroom, and much to her irritation it was Carey freakin' Matthews. She glared at him before her eyes flicked away and she ignored his presence. She still hated his guts after the incident with Professor Malfoy in Transifugration. She didn't give a damn if having a teddy was a little childish, she loved her teddy dearly. He was her source of comfort at night now that she couldn't curl up next to Rubi.

She looked over at Anne as she began the lesson and frowned as she mentioned Professor Malfoy. She shot Carey another glare before she looked back over at Anne and huffed. "Its not my fault he's a jerk." She said in a rare show of confidence and glared at him again. Jamie then raised her hand as she asked if they could tell her anything about divination.

"Divination is the art of using your 'inner eye' to see the future. Some may not possess this gift and therefore cannot excel in Divination, but can still learn this ancient art." Jamie quoted her Divination book perfectly before she lowered her hand and bit her lip as she blushed lightly from embarrassment.

Anne smiled. She couldn't help it. It reminded her of her school days. She shook her head to clear it. She needed to focus on the now not the past. Anyway this class was about the future.

"Correct Jamie 5 points to Hufflepuff." She said smiling at the young girl. "Now the 'inner eye' as Jamie put it, is rare. There are advantages and disadvantages, so it is both a gift and a curse you are born with this you cannot learn it. However you can learn about divination even if you don't have the 'inner eye'." She said to her students.

"Who can tell me different types of divination?" She asked them.

Jamie's smile lit up her face and she felt more confident as she was awarded 5 points. An emotion that she only knew when she was riding gripped her, accompanied with one that she rarely felt ; determination, and competitiveness. She was determined to earn points for Hufflepuff, and she was glad that she'd pretty much memorised their Divination textbooks.

She raised her hand once more to answer another question, she knew a few different types and she smiled shyly at the teacher.

"There's palmistry, reading tea leaves, using the inner eye, and crystal orbs." She knew there was more, but she couldn't remember any others.
