The Experiment (Sabrina memories) Empty
PostSubject: The Experiment (Sabrina memories)   The Experiment (Sabrina memories) EmptyWed Apr 11, 2012 3:45 pm

Sabrina saw different things that she didn't know what was called, but she didn't care either, being only three years old. She tried to see everything, but she couldn't see all. The car was moving too quickly for her to focus perfectly on other things. She looked to the front seat where her parents were sitting. They were chatting feverishly with themselves, so quickly that Sabrina couldn't understand. She only caught words like 'why so long?' 'I'm so glad' 'Rid of her' and stuff like that. She didn't care though. She just kept looking at her parents' moving mouths. It was funny to see them go up and down, up and down.

But then the car slowed down and Sabrina's mother parked the car in front of a weird-looking building. It looked very ... new, Sabrina decided.

"Where are we?" she asked in her a high and slightly sharp voice.

"Oh, we're were you're going to be staying for a while, Sabrina," her father said calmly, walking out of the car and opened the car door to her seat.

Sabrina immediately reached out her arms to keep them out of the belt's way. Her father appreciated when she did that, she knew. He unclicked the belt and gingerly lifted Sabrina. His face was in a frown as usual when he lifted her. She didn't know why. He always smiled when he lifted her mother. Her mother was just the same. They both frowned when they picked her up, always. But Sabrina didn't mind. She didn't care. It had always been like that.

"How long will Sabby be here?" Sabrina asked with a grin.

"For some time, girl," her mother said stiffly.

Sabrina nodded. "Sabby understands," she said joyously.

She liked the place. It was very cool. Weird, but cool. She would have a lot of fun. She squinted towards the letters on the building, but she couldn't read yet.

"What does it say? Sabby no understand," she said with a pout.

"Oh, don't worry about that, Sabrina, don't worry about that," her father simply said.

Sabrina pouted, but let it go when her father didn't look at her. She then looked at the building again, glad that the place she was staying at this time was bigger and better-looking than the last place. There had been too many cats last time.

They walked into the building and a man walked towards them. Her father immediately sat Sabrina down, shaking hands with the man. The man then looked at Sabrina. She didn't like his eyes. They were scary and cold.

"You must be Sabrina," he said with a big, childish smile.

She didn't like grown-ups playing childish, but she nodded stiffly at him. He was wearing a long, white coat and some crazy looking shoes. They were made of see-through bags. She pointed at them and giggled. The man smiled.

"Yes, very weird shoes, but you will be wearing them too. They are very comfortable," he said.

Sabrina still didn't like him, but when he held out a hand for her to take, she looked at her father and then at her mother, before taking the hand without hesitation.

"Bye momma, papa, Sabby see you later," she said with a big grin, before following the man to what she would learn was not a fun place.

The Experiment (Sabrina memories) Empty

Sabrina screamed. It hurt so bad. But nothing she said, nothing she did would make them stop. It hadn't stopped in one year. It was the same. She hadn't seen her parents in one year, she hadn't been out of the building in one year, she'd been locked up like a beast with three other people. And her arms hurt all the time. It just never stopped.

Then a searing pain shot through her left arm and up her shoulder. "Shit!" she heard someone scream. She felt panic rise in her, and she tried to open her shut eyes, but she couldn't open them. She had clenched them shut for so long now that opening them almost hurt. She tried to pull her arm back, but it wouldn't budge. She didn't know what they were doing to her. But it hurt like Hell.

She relaxed her eyes when another searing pain shot through her, and she squeezed them shut again. The pain was too much. She just... she couldn't take it, and darkness took her.

The Experiment (Sabrina memories) Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Experiment (Sabrina memories)   The Experiment (Sabrina memories) EmptyTue Jul 03, 2012 12:29 pm

Sabrina was crawled together in her corner. She wasn't looking at the other people sharing the small room with her, and they weren't looking at her. She was five years old now. Her roommates had gone from three to two. She didn't know what was happening to her, but she was pretty sure that even through all the pain she had experienced, she would be able to survive. It was in her blood to survive.

Then the man returned and took with him one of the others. Sabrina was very relieved when they didn't take her. But she had a weird feeling that she'd never see that boy again. So for the first time in over a year, she looked him in the eyes. He looked so scared, but he didn't bother to fight. Who would? It was pointless. Sabrina tried to tell him with her eyes that it was going to be fine. He didn't believe her, it was obvious, but she still tried.

When they were gone, she turned around and threw herself over the bed, face down into her pillow. And she screamed. She screamed as highly as she could. She was so angry. She was so frustrated. But most of all, she was so tired. Tired of being here, tired of going through so much pain every day. She was sick of it. The other person in the cell wasn't surprised at her screaming. It was rather usual that they screamed, though he usually screamed in fright, she always screamed in anger. It never failed.

Two hours later, the boy had yet to return. After another hour a man walked over and changed the number outside their cell from three to two. The boy was dead. Sabrina slumped to the ground. How? Why? Why were people so cruel?! Sabrina felt like screaming again, but didn't. She knew she was up next. And right she was. Not an hour later, the man who got her from her parents two years ago, got her now and lead her to the horrible place with the horrible pain.

Sabrina wanted to shout at them, wanted to hurt them. Wanted to kill them. They deserved nothing more than death. She was put on the table and they immediately tied her arms and ripped them open. Sabrina screamed in pain and clenched her eyes. She was surprised that she had managed to live through this pain for so long. She screamed and shouted and cursed them and trashed around.

But then something happened. They stopped groping around in her arms and a shout of joy sounded. An alarm went off and they all started dancing around in joy. Sabrina started to wonder what the hell was their problem. And then she realized the word they shouted. 'Success'. Sabrina clenched her teeth. She was done? She was done with the experiments? Relief washed over her, but she still had the feeling that if she didn't do something, she'd never live to see another sunrise.

Sabrina was escorted back to her cell where the other kid still was. He wouldn't be taken in before tomorrow. She frowned. Her arms were aching, but something warm was slowly dimming the pain down. She looked down at them and fisted her hands. She looked at the boy. Something was wrong. She needed to get out, and she needed to get him out with her.

The Experiment (Sabrina memories) Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Experiment (Sabrina memories)   The Experiment (Sabrina memories) EmptySun Jul 08, 2012 2:53 am

Sabrina looked at the boy who was the only one left in the room with her. He was shaking, she could see that. She couldn't all of a sudden develop a sentiment towards him. They would notice. She needed to tell him in some other way. Something pinched in her left arm and she lifted it slightly, looking at it. She didn't know why she did it, but she pointed at the guy, very discreetly, and then she felt like she could talk through her mind.

"Can you hear me?" she thought. The boy reacted instantly, and Sabrina quickly passed a 'Do not look at me' thought to him. He stopped midway and crawled deeper into his corner. She couldn't hear him. She told him that. She then said that he needed to listen. "We need to get out of here. If we don't, we will never see the light of day," she thought to him. He didn't react, but she knew he could hear her. She was five years old, but, six or not, she was getting out of there.

She told him of what had happened in the room, that they had been shouting 'success' and stuff. She knew she had powers now, like the ones that gave her the possibility of talking to him like this. She tried to focus more, but she couldn't hear his thoughts. Then something itched in her right arm. She lifted that too, but it told her to use her pinky. Suddenly, their minds were connected, and it was as if they were standing in a closed off room. She didn't grin, that would most likely be seen.

She quickly told him her plan of blowing the place to pieces, and he was very eager to help. She didn't know what he could do, but they were both very strong magically. That was the only reason for why they were here, and they knew it because it was the only compliment they had ever gotten from the workers here. Sab didn't know what to do about guards, but her right arm's index finger told her otherwise. The boy seemed to understand the feeling in her arms as well.

When they were done plotting, they both went to bed, pretending to fall asleep, while Sabrina did squirm a bit. Her arms were all tingly and seemed to hold a huge amount of power that needed to be released, or her arms would blow. She really hoped that wasn't the case.

As night fell and the guards outside got drowsy, Sabrina woke the boy she learned was called Bill, and they both rose slowly. Sabrina pointed her middle finger at the door and it unlocked in a very soundless manner. She smirked, and without knowing what was going on, her pinky finger pointed at the roof, and disarmed the alarm. She didn't know that at all, she just knew that her arms were protecting her for some reason.

The guard outside was asleep, but Sabrina didn't trust that. Her thumb pointed at the man, and he seemed to slump together even more, as if he had fainted. She walked out and into the hall, Bill right behind her. Her left hand took his without her will, and their minds were once again connected. She saw what he saw, he saw what she saw. Practical. Sabrina grinned. They could do this!

They ran silently, and her thumb immediately stunned people if they passed some. Her ring finger turned them invisible to all cameras. It was amazing to feel so in power. They finally reached the main door, and there still was no trouble. But getting through the main door proved to be a problem. Bill looked at her with pleading eyes. They were pleading with her to get him out. She nodded softly. "I won't leave without you," she said to him.

But she shouldn't have said anything. Suddenly, a couple of dozen wizards were standing around them. Sabrina blinked and then her entire palm was up and a spell was shot, leading the door to explode behind her. She didn't hesitate. She ran. Her left hand dragged with her Bill as well. And her right hand sent continuous exploding spells at the people behind them. They got further away from the place, but alarms were sounding everywhere.

Then people were on every edge of them. And Sabrina knew what she had to do. She turned and pointed at Bill. Suddenly he wasn't there. She had pushed him far, far away, and she hoped he'd manage to escape. She then turned to the people surrounding her, and fire leaped through her body. Like before, having no idea of how, she sent a thousand explosive spells around her. Many hit the building, and then caught something else. Gas, flour, fuel, whatever it was, the entire building exploded and caught fire, falling into rubble. Sabrina felt a deep sense of freedom and victory, and she turned to the people around her again. They were all shooting spells at her, but something was protecting her. She had a feeling it was her left thumb.

While holding up the shield, Sabrina felt the rage mix with invincibility and she burned them all. She could smell flesh and blood several miles later when she had gotten away. And though her adrenaline was slowing down, her body wasn't. She was running far and away. And she hoped, prayed to God, that Bill was okay.
