Pure Elegance is best at dressage and show jumping. He is not the fastest stallion one would ever find, but Jamie adores him anyway - and even more so since her parents are nearly bankrupt after buying the horse so Rubi and Jamie could have the farm. He has a normally gentle nature, though he can turn angry rather quickly when provoked.
