The room is large and circular with three rows of large half moon tables with chairs and small cauldrons spaced evenly at each. The only light that filled the room came from torches flickering warmly in their sconces and soft sunlight filtering in from long arched windows set high in the wall, grass just visible at the bottom of each. The walls were lined with vials of colorful liquids, boxes of finely ground powders and bowls of herbs fresh from the greenhouse. At the head of the room sat a small rectangular table on which rested scales, books, an hourglass and various other personal effects of the new teacher Tyyne Ylönen who was eager to begin.
