Basil grew up in the seaside town of Nice on the southern coast of France. He lives in a beach villa with his mother, father, and annoying, pompous little sister Angelique. His family is not as well-off as you’d think them to be; even though they are pure-blooded, Baz’s family is a very middle-class French household. He doesn’t mind it, though, for Basil thinks this is quite a homely place to be – not so rich that you become snobby, and not so poor that you can’t spend a single cent for fear of going bankrupt. Baz loves going to the beach and swimming, and would do anything just to make someone else happy.
