| Vampires, the focus of endless amounts of literary works, some good and some very bad. Long have they remained a fantasy in the backs of the minds of children and to those who just want to make a buck. So naturally it shocked the world on that fateful day when they revealed themselves.
October 21, 2065, scientists finally made a breakthrough with synthetic blood. They were able to produce it and instantly they went public with the amazing new technology, and that brought about something they really didn't expect. Vampires began to emerge into the public eye a few days after synthetic blood was announced. Most people didn't think much of it, because after all if the Vampires had synthetic blood they wouldn't need to drink human blood anymore. There were some, however, who refused to accept that vampires should live freely out in the open. The driving force of this resistance to was, naturally, the Vatican. The Vatican, while having no military to engage the vampires, was able to launch nearly every world power into an all-out war with the Vampires. The Vampires, not being pushovers, decided that if the Humans were to attempt to cleans them from the Earth then they shouldn't go down without a fight, and a fight it was.
The Blood Wars, as some people called them, lasted for nearly fifty years before finally ending in 2112 in a battle of massive proportions that practically destroyed every last Vampire. The Humans prevailed over the Vampires, but not without a heavy cost. World governments were shattered, and the entire planet threatened to collapse. Only one entity remained, The Vatican. It was up to the Catholic Church to remake the world, and remake it they did.
The year is now 2265, two hundred years since the Vampires revealed themselves. The Vatican never fully remade the world in the way they wanted to. Massive cities dominate the landscape of most countries. The cities are mostly rich and sophisticated at their core, but as they stretch further out the image gets ghastly. Most of the population lives in poverty in the slums around the cities proper. Most technology has only been kept to the level it was before the wars started, and the Vatican doesn't seem to want to make attempts to change that. The Vatican itself has complete control over the entire globe. They regulate everything and have great amounts of influence over the masses, because after all they were the ones who saved the world from damnation. The new world is strictly controlled by the Vatican, and there is little tolerance for breaking the laws. Most people actually view the Vatican as a good government, but they are a corrupt force as is the rule about how, with power comes corruption.
Gone are the days of democracy for the Vatican can only be described as a monarchy with the Pope as the supreme ruler of the world. The current Pope, Pope Alexander XVII, is a relatively young man at the age of 34 who has been thought to have been one of the more kind hearted Popes in recent years, but in the past two years he has suddenly become more strict in his edicts and punishments. Directly underneath the Pope is his personal guard, The Templars. The Templars are thought of as paragons of justice by the population at large, but some of the lower levels of the poor hate the Templars for their rough enforcement of the Pope's taxes and their altogether bad treatment of the poor. No other force in the land has the power to stand up to the Templars other than the Pope.
As much as the new world seems awful most people live their lives happily. Though a lot of people have it pretty bad, no one has a worse life than the remaining Vampires. After the War, the remaining Vampires that didn't get away fast enough were put into slavery to rebuild the world, but now they are nothing more than the task force that does all the awful work that no one else will do. On top of that, the Vampires are used for their blood. After numerous tests, scientists discovered that if a human ingested Vampire blood they would be given powers that dwarfed even the considerable might of Vampires. Thus these humans were enlisted to control the Vampires as well as to become a shield if the Vampires ever returned in mass. Unfortunately years after the first people drank the Vampire blood they all died. It seemed that after two to three years the Vampire blood in their systems would kill them. The Vatican considered it a necessary risk, and continued to give people the blood.
In the past few years an organization has emerged underground, that seemed to be pro-Vampire. Once they went public with a few acts of terrorism they announced themselves as the HVA, or Human Vampire Alliance. The Vatican didn't take kindly to the emergence of a terrorist cell that was promoting that the humans work with the Vampires, and has been attempting to crack down on them mercilessly, but terrorist cells tend to be hard to catch. Since the dawn of the group, they have been covertly trying to track down the remaining free Vampires to insight a rebellion to put a Vampire-Human government into power, but so far they have been out of luck, until now.
Only mere weeks ago the HVA was contacted by a representative of il Ordine del Sangue Perdo, or the Order of Lost Blood, with an important message. The message was simple, be ready to be contacted again on October 18.
Il Ordine del Sangue Perdo is the last bastion of the Vampires. They are small in number, but they intend to take the revenge they have been waiting centuries for. Their place of residence is right under the nose of the Vatican in their capital city, Vatican City. Since the end of the war they have hidden in the catacombs of Vatican City waiting for the time to strike back at the Vatican.

| Oh my goodness, this is such an awesome plot. Is it for a book? Fanfiction/Fictionpress thing? Cause it needs to be written, like, asap. dkxfjgh, nxdkgjhb.
It would certainly be a cool story to read, it's really original too. IMMEDIATE FAN, RIGHT HERE. Like any good story, it has openings for fan fiction to be written around it. So yeah, that's what defines a basically good story to me.
Get to it! Seriously! It's amazing! |
