Dana pushed her way into the small coffee shop, arms full with thick notebooks containing notes and statistics and drawings and photographs of the species of dragons she had documented so far. Her trip around Great Britain was still going, and she was here to catch up with an old colleague who'd been assigned the same job she had.
Setting her stuff down at a table near the windows, Dana flicked open her red notebook. This one was the least full, and currently had short entries about her foster dragon dubbed 'Scrunches' by her brother. The little Oriental Green was getting really big, and before she sent him off to Romania for his rehabilitation project, Dana wanted to document how he was growing.
The sun shone in through the window, although grey clouds loomed above it was still warmer than normal for winter. She ordered herself a chocolate latte and sipped at it, waiting for Remi to arrive.
