Donnie rubbed his jaw. It was still sore from when Caelum had broken it, but there were no remaining signs of it having to heal, so that was good. The music pounded around him as he slid into his favourite nightclub, and memories washed over him of a blonde-curled woman. He smiled, only a small one, and cleared his thoughts of her.
He moved in and scanned the room. Flashing lights and thudding music poured over Don, and he scratched the back of his neck, feeling his thirst rise up again. He pushed his way over to the bar and ordered a firewhisky, before turning his head to see a girl just down the bar.
Also blonde, this girl reminded him of the band his sister liked - Fallen, he thought it was. She'd been the face for the music section lately, alongside him in Nina's articles. He only read those so he could know what Nina was saying about him now, and so he could make sure it wasn't anything nasty or untrue.
Catching her eye, he sent a wave down the bar to her, a smile on his face. He took a swig of his drink and relished the burning sensation down his throat.
