Jenna pulled on her white apprentice healer uniform and glanced out the window of the Healer's lounge to where her Mentor, Senior Healer Marcus, was. He was donned in his lime green uniform robes and was talking to the Welcome Witch, who had to guide a new patient up to the fourth floor.

Her view of the new patient was obscured from her position in the Lounge, but she could hear the conversation and tell the person was male. Healer Marcus was nodding slightly gravely - but that was him, he always seemed fairly grave - and occasionally talking to the pair in front of him.

Jenna pulled her hair into a high ponytail, back off her face. Just then, her Mentor turned and waved her over. Jenna walked briskly over to him, a smile on her face. "Hello," she said to the Welcome Witch - today it was Martha - and the new patient. "I'm Jenna," she introduced herself.

It had all just been some fun and games, Nathan had thought to himself rather upset as he clutched at his aching sides. His friends had crowded around him, worry clear on their features. His entire body felt like it was on fire, and then suddenly ice cold. And his sides hurt, along with his head, oh Merlin it hurt so much that he wanted to scream out in pain, but he bit down hard on his lower lip to refrain from doing so. The other team had cleared off rather quickly.

They'd been challenged by some idiots to soccer, and of course they'd won because Nathan and his friends adored soccer. However, the other team didn't think it so funny and one of the performed some weird charm on Nathan, causing him to be in the state he was. He was taken to St. Mungo's by his friends, and one of them was talking to some guy whilst Nathan shivered, then fanned himself, and held his sides whilst biting down hard on his lip.

He stood up, shivering, and walked over to the Welcome Witch and the healer who'd been assigned to him. He barely noticed her due to the pain for his head was mostly bowed, but her voice was soft and gentle - hypnotic, almost. "I-I-I'm-" He was un-able to get words out though, and so his sister Corey who'd tagged along with im and his friends due to her tomboyish nature and her awesome soccer skills, piped up. "Nathan, Nathan Watts." She introduced her brother, who smiled gratefully and her and then let his head droop again.

Jenna's heart broke when she properly took in the scene of the young man before her. He had to be about her age, but was clutching at his sides. One moment he'd be shivering, the next sweating. She could tell Healer Marcus already knew what was wrong with him, but was waiting for her to figure it out herself.

"First things first, remember?" Jenna heard Marcus say beside her. Jenna smiled brightly at Nathan and the girl who had spoken for him, who looked so much like him that she had to be his sister.

Jenna stepped a little closer to the patient and pulled out her wand, just to make sure she was right with what she thought it was. She placed her wand on his head for a few seconds, before pulling it away and checking the glowing tip. It was red.

Jenna straightened up and smiled softly. This boy had been hit with an awry hot-and-cold curse and was obviously going to cause him quite a few epileptic-like seizures in the near future. "Come with us, please," she said gently and lead the patient and his sister to an empty treatment room, walking side by side with her Mentor.

Nathan wanted to curl up into a ball and grit his teeth together to keep from screaming in pain. As it was, he had to dig his teeth into his lower lip harshly to stop from making any sort of sound. After all, he didn't want to be embarrassed. He could taste the copper, salty flavour of blood in his mouth, but he had no other option.

Nathan tilted his head at the healers as one said 'first things first', his mind failing to realise she was a trainee. He felt too sick to even notice that his sisters hand was on his shoulder, squeezing gently to offer comfort. Corey looked at the healers with narrowed eyes, her irritable nature shining through.

He felt something against his head, and a strange, cool feeling swept across him. He gasped in agony as it went away, replaced by a burning feeling from the curse that had been put on him. He heard Corey huff as if she was half-way across the room from him.

He weakly was tugged along by his sister to the room that the healers lead them to, his sister huffing the whole way in irritation. He knew was she was annoyed, because he was being seen by a trainee. He didn't see how else she would learn though, so he tried to ignore his sister and focus on something that wasn't the pain. "Can we hurry up with this? My brother looks about ready to die!" Corey growled.

Ignoring the glares she was getting from the boy's sister, Jenna settled Nathan into the room and disappeared into a cupboard, looking for the potion Marcus had pointed out. She found it and a disinfected cup and poured out thirty-two mililetres of the swirling green liquid. Bending down in front of Nathan, and feeling a little encouraged by the warm look Healer Marcus was directing her way, she lifted the goblet up.

"Nathan," she said calmly. "This is a Temperature Regulating potion. It will make you feel much better. You need to drink all of it." With that, she lifted the potion to his mouth and helped him drink it.

Nathan could practically feel his impatient, irritable and vicious sisters irritation radiating off of her in waves, and he was glad that the healer who was taking care of him had patience with her constant string of 'hurry up!' and 'hello, my brother's dying here's. It was annoying, and after Corey snapped at the girl, "Get a move on!" Nathan turned his glare to Corey. "Shut up, Corey," he growled, pain wracking his body. "This is painful enough, let her do her job," he snapped. Corey looked taken-aback, before with a huff she'd turned and stormed off. He rolled his eyes and managed to stutter out a, "S-s-s-sorry for her be-h-a-vi-our." Whilst the cold took over his body.

He looked at the goblet with hesitance. To his experience, all medicine tasted absolutely disgusting and magical medicine was even worse. Yes, it healed just about anything but it certainly wasn't pleasant. "O-Okay," he sounded slightly frightened of how the concoction would taste, but he offered no resistance as she helped him drink it. His eyes widened at the disgusting, rotten-egg taste that was going down his throat and almost spluttered, but he held it together and only grimaced.

Then, the most horrible yet wonderful thing happened. He suddenly let out an agonised noise of pain as it felt like his body was being penetrated by a thousand knives. After that, he felt as if his skin was being boiled off and his blood turned to ice. This only lasted for a few seconds, before he felt amazing. As if the spell had never been cast. Other than a headache, he felt really good. A relieved smile crossed his face and he looked at the girl properly for the first time, his skin no loner tinged green and his bloodshot eyes returning to normal - as was the effect of the potion. She was very pretty, with a friendly looking exterior, innocent doe eyes, and silky locks of blonde hair. Like cream mixed with gold.
