Why is Astronomy Important to Society?
Astronomy, just like Divination, is important if you are studying about the universe's past. Without Astronomy, stars, planets, and possibly even other magical universes would be unknown to mankind. Example, studying stars help us avoid and protect ourselves from possible dangers, like certain solar flares that can disrupt communication. Stars from other planets that are similar to ours, for example, also gives us a clue to finding out about the possibility of life in the planets. Constellations also help in the study of different types of divination, especially Centaur Divination, where it is needed to observe the movement of the stars, moons, and planets. The centaurs have been using the method for centuries already. Understanding the universe around us helps us understand how the solar system came to be.Celestial constellations have religious and cultural significance. They also can be used as navigational tools by orientating star maps at certain times of night to match up.
