More Information

Alec was the first born of James Black and Amorette Black. He was born in America, and raised by the best Aurors Britain have ever seen. His father was the Head Auror, of the Ministry of Magic, known for his leadership and wit, and his mother was known to specialize with creating spells. He was raised in America, to his upper class parents, and was an only child, until he was four. His sister Tess was born, and while he could say he wasn't the happiest person, he learned to love his sister. Both being so different (him being very outgoing and talking to girls) she was the opposite (always hiding behind a stupid book) and it caused a rift early on with his merciless teasing.

At the age of ten, they moved to London, where he waited a year to receive his letter to Hogwarts. He was excited to be surrounded by people who loved magic as much as him. He was sorted in Slytherin (as were his parents) and quickly became known to be a Lothario of sorts, especially when he became older. He was in fourth year when his sister arrived, and despite his doubt she made it into Slytherin as well. He never really took notice of her, too busy with his own things, but he had to say when he graduated, as Head Boy he felt a bit of a pang knowing that he had used up his years ignoring his little sister and her dorky friends.

Immediately after graduating, he decided to go backpacking and explore the world. Being the favorite of the family, his parents didn't really protest and he went off studying a bit about dragons, potioneering, mediwizarding, but Auror seemed like the right fit. Quickly being like his father, he was known to be one of the greats, but he felt that his baby sister had been a bit of a disappointment as she graduated, when he realized she was being a Healer, despite her grades to be an Auror.

To this day they never see eye to eye, and as much as they try, there's not much in common between the pair. He doesn't see how she pays little attention to her social life, and she can't see how someone could be so interested in sex as much as he is. Tess is the one avoiding him like the plague now, as much as he finds that annoying; now that he is older he sees that he should try and make her fit into the mold and stop being such a disappointment to their parents. He figures she can still become an Auror if she applies herself, though her usual answer is to sod off, and that she prefers her job at St. Mungos. The only time they see each other is through family meetings, or his favorite, which is popping in unannounced at her work, or at whatever coffee shop she happens to be in.
