Valkyrie walked into the Hog's Head with a small smile on her face. For some reason, she had always loved this place, despite the two inches dust lying around everywhere. At least the cups were clean. After she had started working at least. The manager, Arien Dumbledore, didn't really care much about how clean the place was, but he didn't mind it when she cleaned either.

She walked up behind the bar, unlocking the door with her wand. Of course, there was no such 'alohomora' spell that could open those doors, but it was password encrypted. She smiled as she muttered the current password, 'Zoe'. It was always a name, most often a female's, but on rare occasions, it was guys' names too. She wondered whether or not there would be many costumers today. She hoped so. It was so boring in a bar when nothing happened.

She leaned back, knwing that Cae might be working down the street at Three Broomsticks. Maybe she could apparate over there if it got seriously boring. She was contemplating it when the door opened.

Anscom yawned tiredly as he read one of his favourite books. He'd read it way too often in the last few weeks and decided the book needed a break. After all, he'd get sick of it if he read it all the time. He stood up and walked over to his dressed, pulling out a blue button up shirt and putting it on. Yes, Anscom liked to walk around his own home half-naked, problem? He did it up the usual - leaving one button un-done so it stayed open in a classy yet desirable way. He found it fun to tease the fangirls, but he wasn't sure how to deal with them when they swooned over him. He'd normally just look around for Cae or Donnie to save him. Or Val.

He checked his watch and realised Val would currently be at her shift at the Hogs Head. He'd promised that he'd come visit her one time, and today seemed to be the perfect day. He checked himself in the mirror and decided he looked good, before stepping into his fireplace and floo'ing to The Three Broomsticks. He grinned at Cae as he passed by and dug his hands into his pockets as he walked through Hogsmeade until he reached the Hogs Head.

He opened the door and stepped out of the cool air, shivering and shutting the door behind him. He looked around and saw that himself and Val were the only ones there - he hadn't expected any different, really. "Val!" He grinned.

Valkyrie put on her customers-are-very-welcome-here smile and blinked as the light outside penetrated the room. When her eyes adjusted, her smile grew much wider as she realized who it was. "Ans!" she exclaimed surprised and happily, rushing over, giving him a hug.

She released him and looked up at him. "I honestly didn't believe you'd ever come," she said, looking slightly guilty for doubting him, "But to be fair to myself, this isn't the most charming place on earth. Though-" here, she leaned in with a wary and whispered: "I think it's growing on me."

She looked around herself, and found that, despite the dirt, it really had its own homey feel to itself. She gave a beam at Ans and then grabbed a stool with her, taking it behind the desk and sitting down on it. "Anything you'd like?" she asked. "I'll make sure it's one of the things I've cleaned properly," she added with a grin.

Anscom couldn't help but feel bright and bubbly at the fact that he caused such a positive response from Val, even if it was probably just because she had someone to entertain her during her boring shift rather than standing there for ages and being bored. "Val!" He exclaimed, a huge grin on his face.

He wrapped his arms tightly around her, squeezing her a little tighter than what would be seen as normal. He released her after a moment and grinned at her doubt. "Aww, did Val think that I would abandon her? What kind of friend would I be if I did that?" He pouted at her. He looked around and raised his eyebrows at her. "Um yeah, okay," he chuckled.

He followed after her as she grabbed a stool and dragged it behind the counter. He sat down on a stool in front of her and grinned slyly at her. "No thanks, I don't want to be sick even though I don't doubt your cleaning skills. Got a date tonight," he grinned and rested his arms on the bar. He wished he had a date with her, but Pyxis seemed like a beautiful girl and Val had never shown any interest in him.

Valkyrie smiled at the warm hug he gave her. She loved Anscom's hugs. They were always just a tad more hug-like than others because he had that special squeeze to it. She then laughed at his pout. "Oh, you're right. I should've known you'd come eventually," she said in a mock defeated tone. She then laughed at his skeptical 'yeah, okay' reply to the place growing on her. "I think it would've grown on you too if you were working here," she stated, "It's like magic."

As she sat behind the bar, Anscom followed her and sat down. She then tilted her head to the side as he said no thanks. She blinked when he told her why. She wasn't surprised that he had a date, of course she wasn't. Hell, Anscom was an extremely handsome person, there was no denying that. But something just kind of ... hit her, when he said that he had one. She then beamed as she processed it, growing into a teasing friend.

"Really?" she asked, smirking, "And who would the lucky one be?"

Anscom was reluctant to release Val from his arms, she was just so warm and cuddly - even if everyone else thought otherwise. Where they thought her outfits were weird, and gothic, he thought they were unique and funky, portraying her out-there personality that was so much more complex and interesting than most celebrities. "Yes, you should've. I'm very disappointed in you, Val," he winked playfully at her, and then patted her on the head. "Nevermind darling, I forgive you," he chuckled at her and raised his eyebrows. "I'm pretty sure you ate something funny. You didn't snack on any of the food in here, did you?" He asked with mock-concern.

Anscom watched her features carefully as she registered the information that he had a date. A part of him, a very large part of him mind you, wanted her to be jealous and looks upset or something. But the other, smaller part, told him that this was stupid. He was going on a date with Pyxis, he couldn't just ditch the girl because Val gave a shit about him now that he was dating someone else. However, he was the one who was disappointed when she seemed genuinely pleased for him, and he let a grin settle on his features. He rolled his eyes at her question and shrugged his shoulders.

"You wouldn't know her. But you'll probably see her picture all over Witch Weekly," he grimaced.

Valkyrie smiled innocently up at him. She then grinned. "Well what can we do?" she asked with a light shrug. She then beamed up at him. "Of course you forgive me, who wouldn't?" she asked, putting on a real doll face. She laughed at him. "You never know. Maybe the owner put a spell on me," she said with a fake gasp.

Val noticed the annoyance in his eyes as he said she'd probably be all over Witch Weekly. She groaned and leaned back, losing her balance and just managed to grip the bench before she fell off. This was a stool, not a chair. She smiled into the air, pretending like nothing had happened. And then she turned serious again.

"Yeah, you're right. It gets annoying how much the paparazzi is after us. I'm seriously sick of it," she said softly, "But I'd never give up the band for anything. It's too big a part of me."
