Jameson had noticed that there was a lack of students taking his subject last year, but he hoped that there would be a considerable amount more this year. He had a row of Nimbus 2001's laid out in front of him for the students to practice hovering on. They would be learning to fly soon, and he'd be giving a few history lessons on broomsticks too.

Once everyone had arrived, Jameson picked up his own broomstick and sat down on it. He explained how to grip with the legs and hold tightly with your hands to the students. He then lightly pushes off the ground and hovered in the air, before he dropped back down once more. "Your turn. Remember, hold on really tight or you'll slide off the end. A small push will do it, make sure not to go much higher. We don't want to have a Neville on our hands."

Humphrey walked onto the Quidditch Pitch. He loved to fly, and always looked forward to getting up in the air. After he listened to the instructions, he situated himself on his broom. Gripping the broom with his legs and holding tightly, Humphrey kicked off. Then he hovered for half a minute, and landed back down. "Wow, that worked really well. Thanks for the tips Professor." he said, smiling.
